Airport Operators Council International (AOCI) and International Civil Airports Association (ICAA) merged to form Airports Council International (ACI), headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.

ACI Pacific Regional Office relocated from Vancouver, Canada to Hong Kong SAR.

Respective Boards agreed to merge Asia and Pacific regions.

ACI Asia and ACI Pacific merged to form ACI Asia-Pacific.

Inaugurated the Regional Aviation Security Committee and introduced Airport Service Coordinator Programme to enhance communication with airport members.

Inaugurated the Regional Operational Safety Committee and Regional Human Resources Committee.

Regionalised the World Business Partners programme. Launched Young Executive Award to recognise outstanding airport talents.

Expansion of ACI Airport Carbon Accreditation programme to AsiaPacific & the Middle East region.
