ROBIN HOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL, NOTTINGHAM Safehinge was proud to play a central role in the reconstruction of this primary school. Our involvement saw ALUmax used in all new parts of the building and ALUfast throughout refurbished areas. AN INSPIRATIONAL AND INNOVATIVE CONTRIBUTION This exciting project saw a split-site primary school transformed into a single building, with both new facilities and upgraded classrooms. Costs were vital — so we worked closely with Nottingham City Council to help bring it in on schedule and on budget, with no compromise in quality. Innovative design was used throughout the build, so Safehinge was a natural fit. Our strong and safe ALUmax was used on all new doors, while the hard-wearing retrofit ALUfast was perfect for refurbished areas. The result was complete protection for little fingers and a consistent visual aesthetic throughout. Head Teacher Andrew Sharp said: “It has been an incredible journey. Staff, pupils and their families are delighted with the new buildings.” We’re delighted to have played our part too.
