Future success of the UK Food industry requires the continued limitation of risk from poor hygiene. Floors and drainage play a critical role in this development, yet in many instances is one of the elements most neglected and poses a serious risk to future success and the mitigation of risk. Alongside initial factory design cleaning is a principle prerequisite to food production; with the cleaning methodology and management controls appropriate to the process and risks. Together these elements are a critical factor of success in ensuring the right outcomes for food processing factories.
