Installation information
ACO ShowerDrain Walk-in solution
This installation manual contains important information. It must be handed on to the end user who has to keep it in a safe place! Note: Prior to installation, check parts for proper condition. Do not fit damaged parts. The protective film of stainless steel trough should not be removed during construction period.
Walk-in solution without drainage Installation Place Walk-in stainless steel tray onto unfinished floor (FFB) and adjust to FFB height by means of adhesive. In the case of higher floor structures, the tray can be heightenend in situ with hardwearing insulating boards from below. Secure trough against buoyancy and apply floor screed up to upper edge (F).

The tray is cased with PUR foam RG 80 from below. In the case of laying mineral insulations and floor screed, this has to considered because of the lowering after the drying process. After the screed has dried, apply thin bed seal onto tray flange in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. When doing this, work with sealing tapes or alike in order to guarantee possible crack bridging. After tiling, fill joint round the trough body with permanently flexible joint compound.

Walk-in solution with drainage Installation The Walk-in stainless steel tray can be directly combined with Easyflow floor drains 1.5°; 90° inclination. When using WAL-Selecta and Variant-CR floor drains, an extension piece art. no. 2040.00.00 has to be used.

Grease stainless steel tray slightly and insert in drain socket. In the case of higher floor structures, the tray can be heightenend in situ with hard-wearing insulating boards from below. When using the extension piece art. no. 2040.00.00, it can be cut to length on site. Principly, the cutting edge must be deburred. Adjust stainless steel tray and bring to FFB height. Here, it must be observed that connection between trough socket and drain body is guaranteed. Secure drain body and stainless steel tray against buoyancy and sliding (during carrying out of works). Then apply floor screed. After the screed has dried, apply thin bed seal onto tray flange in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. When doing this, work with sealing tapes or alike in order to guarantee possible crack bridging. After tiling, fill joint round the tray body with permanently flexible joint compound.

After the construction phase, remove the protective film and insert wooden grating. The wooden grating is a natural product and deviations in colour, grain and traces which are subject to its natural origin are thus possible. The wooden grating is oiled and should be oiled again in certain intervals, depending on water load.
