The Mysterious Journey Through the Amazon Rainforest Final product Hello my name is Andrew Gentry and I am going to tell you about mysterious journey to the Amazon rainforest in South America. Ok so here we go. One night when I lived in Mexico I ran into a bus that took me straight to the Amazon rainforest it looked just like a pink unicorn I swear. I got thrown in the Amazon River and was saved by a squirrel monkey named Steve. Steve showed me his favorite friend Timmy the toucan. I told them first I am an eco-tourist I try and conserve and stop deforestation. Steve told me he was an omnivore just like humans. He also said his species of monkeys gets eaten by the Yanomani tribe, other humans and high predator birds. The squirrel monkeys prey is insects and fruit. The plants are producers. Producers use processcalled photosynthesis to get their food. Timmy said he was an omnivore too except he eats rodents, weak birds and fruit. The Toucans predators are jaguars and humans. The jaguar is a carnivore. Some of the birds are herbivores. They both said that they have adaptations. Steve says he useshis long arms and slender body to move around the rainforest with ease. Timmy says he useshis colorful feathers to as camouflage to hide from predators. A single animal of a population is called an organism. Steve, Timmy, and I go walking through the rainforest. While we were walking we ran into an orchid. It said that all the plants we see right now have foliage. As we walked on we ran into the head chief of the Yanomani tribe he told he hunted squirrel monkeys and toucans so Steve and Timmy were scared. We walked on again Steve and Timmy knew exactly where to go since this is their habitat. They also knew where they were going becausethey are indigenous to the Amazon. A
