Rehabilitation clinicians have a valuable online resource available for educating and supporting patients who have sustained spinal cord injury (SCI) and their families at www.FacingDisability.com.

They founded the Hill Foundation, a private operating foundation to provide an online resource for individuals with recent spinal cord injury and their families. FacingDisability.com is specifically created to connect families for mutual support through shared experience and provides answers to critical questions. FacingDisability.com contains interviews with more than 100 people with spinal cord injuries and their family members — parents, spouses, and children — addressing critical questions about living life with a spinal cord injury. There are more than 1,000 excerpts from these taped interviews available on the website.

With the goal of helping patients and family members find critical information quickly, also contains video of spinal cord injury experts addressing common questions received from patients and family members. They recorded over 400 answers to key questions that arise when an injury is new, and provide links to more than 200 spinal cord injury resources on the web.

Like real-time programs, Facing Disability’s online peer-mentoring program introduces people with new injuries to others who have some experience living with a spinal cord injury. In so doing, patients learn how to think about disability and live with a new body experience. Facing Disability offers more than well-intentioned advice; the videotaped interviews provide an honest and unvarnished voice of experience.

Rehabilitation clinicians have a valuable online resource available for educating and supporting patients who have sustained spinal cord injury (SCI) and their families at www.FacingDisability.com.

----------------------------------

Vicki Hill sustained a spinal cord injury in a 1986 diving accident, resulting in tetraplegia. Vicki had the opportunity to participate in a peer-mentoring program, and her parents, Robert Hill and Thea Flaum, recognized how powerful and supportive the experience was for Vicki to meet others living with SCI.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA

9–13 OCTOBER 2012

They founded the Hill Foundation, a private operating foundation to provide an online resource for individuals with recent spinal cord injury and their families. FacingDisability.com is specifically created to connect families for mutual support through shared experience and provides answers to critical questions.

THE SHERATON VANCOUVER WALL CENTRE

FacingDisability.com contains interviews with more than 100 people with spinal cord injuries and their family members — parents, spouses, and children — addressing critical questions about living life with a spinal cord injury. There are more than 1,000 excerpts from these taped interviews available on the website.

Recognition Requirements, Specifications & Details Product vs. Company Logo

The following are ACRM’s guidelines for the use of product logos: »» A product logo can be placed on a non-educational sponsored item as sponsorship recognition. »» A product logo cannot be used for general recognition (overall course banners, website page, publications, etc.) »» The product logo can be a logo only, and cannot contain any quantitative or comparative language, price information, or other indications of savings or value, an endorsement or an inducement to purchase, sell or use the product or service.

Sponsor Logo Requirement and Use

ACRM will need your logo as a Vector-Based EPS format in fullcolor and in b/w, as well as JPEG, GIF or TIF file format. This is to ensure that you receive the highest quality logo recognition.

All logo recognition will be in full color for digital (web/screen) and full color format when possible in print. However, single color (b/w) may be necessary as determined by the ACRM Marketing Department. On most specialty items, logos will appear in either black or white. When additional colors are available the sponsor will be notified, and if they so choose can pay any additional costs to add colors. Logo size will be based on the following criteria: »» The level of sponsorship (this will determine size of logo in relation to other logos on general sponsorship banner) »» Sponsored item (ACRM Marketing team will determine the appropriate size for item) When multiple colors are available for specialty items, the ACRM marketing staff will determine the appropriate color choice based on product availability and consistency with Annual Conference theme.

ACRM Logo Use of ACRM Logo

ACRM loves it’s members, sponsors and exhibitors. Members, sponsors and exhibitors are encouraged to love ACRM back — by proudly proclaiming their alliance using the official ACRM logo on their communication. Logo requests should be emailed to info@ACRM.org. Non-members, non-sponsors and non-exhibitors are strictly prohibited from using the ACRM logo. The ACRM logo is the property of ACRM and unauthorized use by non-members is strictly prohibited.

Fine Print

All advertisements and sponsorships are subject to availability and to ACRM approval. Prices as listed in this guide are subject to change without notice. ACRM has made every effort to ensure accuracy, but please understand ACRM can not be held liable for typos.
