Welcome to Aiken Community Theatre Youth Wing’s production of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, part of our 70th Season! We are so glad you could join us for what promises to be wonderful production brought to you by your own talented community of young people.

The Youth Wing is a vital part of the education piece of ACT’s mission, and the young adults involved in this company have often been the rock upon which a mainstage production stands. The Youth Wing hosts free workshops on the second Saturdays of each month September – May. Check out our website for details on how to become involved.

With gratitude,

Coming Soon to ACT

Inspired by the T.S. Eliot's poem, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, Lovesong revolves around a couple, William and Margaret/Billy and Maggie, who are depicted at two key stages in their lives. After forty years of marriage, Maggie is ill and riddled with pain. As they enter the final week of her life, the house becomes full with memories of their marriage and their desperation to conceive a child. Past and present literally intertwine as the older and younger couples move around each other across the stage.

The Story

This dramatization of C.S. Lewis’ classic work faithfully recreates the magic and mystery of Aslan, the great lion, his struggle with the White Witch, and the adventures of four children who inadvertently wander from an old wardrobe into the exciting, never-to-beforgotten Narnia. The action features chases, duels and escapes as the witch is determined to keep Narnia in her possession and to end the reign of Aslan. This story of love, faith, courage and giving, with its triumph of good over evil, is a true celebration of life.
