What’s Going On in the Real Estate Market? 2018 was an interesting year for the real estate market. Looking back, there were 7 “hot” weeks (the last week of March, April & first half of May). Cooling began in June, which continued throughout the year. While there was still low inventory, there were also less buyers. Homes sat on the market longer and many sellers had to reduce their price in an effort to get an offer. Uncertainty looms ahead as we transition into 2019. Amy Savage Mortgage rates have fallen in recent weeks amid market Oregon Principal Broker fluctuations and political concerns, but experts say that won’t continue. Borrowing costs are still going up.
