Shaun of the Dead (2004) Ghostbusters
“Who you gonna call?” There’s nothing like the original Ghostbusters, and the reboots aren’t even worth watching in my opinion. Not one but two sci-fi action-comedies star a legendary cast, including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Annie Potts, Rick Moranis, and more. Parapsychologists turned ghost hunters in New York City end up saving the world twice — from an ancient god, Dozer, hellbent on destruction, and the Stay Puft marshmallow man (Ghostbusters I), and then again from a psychoactive pink slime flowing under the city, and a 16th century sorcereralchemist Vigo the Carpathian who wants to be reborn in the 20th century. The movies are occult, spooky, funny, actionpacked, and great for the whole family. Rated PG, but with strong language and mature themes it’s more like PG-13.
Kiki’s Delivery Service (1990)
“Without even thinking about it, I used to be able to fly. Now I’m trying to look inside myself and find out how I did it.”
This heartwarming anime follows the journey of 13-yearold Kiki, a young witch who moves to a quaint seaside town with her loyal talking cat, Jiji. As part of the tradition in her village, Kiki must spend a year living on her own to complete her training as a witch. Armed with her broomstick, she quickly learns to harness her flying abilities and starts a unique delivery service, delivering packages to the town’s residents. The movie captures Kiki’s growth and the challenges she faces — she becomes part of the community and yet her confidence begins to waver, leading her to lose the magic that once came so easily. And the animation is utterly stunning. Rated G.
“How’s that for a slice of fried gold?”
The movie opens with an homage to London citizens going through their work days like zombies, arguably showing how complacent and boring our lives have become — only when threatened, like our primordial days, do we truly live again.
Stream these movies where available, or rent from your local movie store, library or rental kiosk.
Once the zombie outbreak takes hold, things get exciting. Shaun, an AV salesperson, and Ed, a small-time weed dealer, are thrust into action to defend themselves. Once outside, they band together with friends and quest to their local pub, The Winchester. Billed as a rom-com with zombies, there are interpersonal subplots galore, including Shaun and Liz’s deteriorating relationship (Shaun isn’t spontaneous or romantic), Shaun and Ed’s one-sided friendship, Shaun’s rocky relationship with his stepfather, and jealous David whose love for Liz is unrequited. It’s gut-ripping gore hyperbole. It’s deeply funny with its dry British humor. And it’s action-packed. A zombie movie in its own right, it’s also an homage to George A. Romero. Directed by Edgar Wright and starring a huge cast with Bill Nighy, Peter Serafinowicz, Kate Ashfield and more. Rated R for language and graphic violence.
Halloween’s origins go back to the ancient Celtic festival of “Samhain,” the celebration of the end of harvest season. The Gaels believed that on October 31, the boundaries between the worlds of the living and the dead got a little blurry and the dead would come back to life and wreak havoc among the living. How to scare the dead? Wear costumes and masks.
The average American eats about 3.4 pounds of Halloween candy.
Try wearing your clothes inside out and walk backwards on Halloween. According to traditions, this will make sure you see a witch

Power of Pink
Community support takes to the streets
By Patti Jo Brooks, Contributing Writer
What comes to mind when you see the color pink?
Years of association with the female gender has us seeing prom dresses and Barbies, lip gloss and nail colors. Today, however, much has changed regarding these traditional associations. Pink is a color now widely seen and accepted across all gender identities and not reserved for any particular group but one: Breast Cancer Awareness. What began in McMinnville as “Paint Mac Pink” has grown to become “Paint Yamhill County Pink.”
With Courage, a local nonprofit for breast cancer support, hosts their annual Pink Light Campaign throughout the month of October each year. With Courage founder, executive director and two-time breast cancer survivor Caitlin Sticka, along with several other women who were diagnosed around the same time, had a group of friends who wanted to offer support. One of the friends was Isaac Kearns of C and D Landscape who ran the company’s outdoor holiday lighting, décor and display installations. Isaac started out decorating a few trees around McMinnville in pink, which in 2014 were sponsored by a small number of donations from community members. Encouraged by the enthusiastic participation, Caitlin and a few others
thought, “We could do more of these.” Focusing on McMinnville at the time, about forty trees along Third Street were added to the program and “Paint Mac Pink” came to be.
The Pink Light Campaign continued to expand into the communities of Newberg, Dayton, Yamhill, Amity, Carlton, Sheridan and others. Today, this poignant effort to raise funds for local breast cancer support has a waiting list for new sponsors. With a limited supply of lights and installations available, and most sponsors returning year after year, With Courage implemented the waitlist as an equitable way to triage sponsorships. It also serves to monitor interest, which in turn prompted With Courage to purchase more lights last year to accommodate additional participation.
Businesses and individuals who sponsor a pink-lit tree, décor or light display have the opportunity to feature their name, company logo or family crest as well as include “in honor/ memory of” a loved one affected by breast cancer. Those who would like to show their support, but are unable to provide a sponsorship, can purchase individual pink lightbulbs on the With Courage website for $10 each to use at home on their porch.
With Courage is located at 906 N.E. 11th St., Ste. A, in McMinnville. Call 503-218-3703 for inquiries or email caitlin@ withcourage.org. To join the waitlist, purchase merchandise, donate or find out more, visit withcourage.org.
15 Years & Counting
Family-run business continues legacy
By Edward Novak, Contributing Writer
If you’ve ever seen a house or apartment that’s only recently had its tenants move out, you might be familiar with some of the questions people always seem to leave behind. How long has this door been sticking? What’s making that weird clicking noise? What’s that smell? Did they use toothpaste to patch the holes in this wall? And of course: what the heck caused that stain on the living room carpet?
Some mysteries may never have answers, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have solutions. Josh Vorderstrasse, the owner and operator of Mighty Clean Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning Services in Monmouth, is in the business of providing solutions to stains both mysterious and mundane with a focus on excellent customer service and providing the absolute highest quality of work.
Josh has been involved in the carpet cleaning industry since he was twelve, working alongside his dad and his brother on weekends and during his winter and summer breaks. He learned a lot over the years, gaining an extensive depth of knowledge about carpet and upholstery cleaning. In September of 2009, he decided to start his own company; he bought a van, stocked it with the equipment he needed, and got to work on providing service to his community.
Mighty Clean has just marked its fifteenth anniversary of operation, though Josh prefers to stay low-key about it. He’s doing what he loves and what he knows he’s great at, and that makes the years roll by smoothly. That approach may apply to his marriage, too, as he’ll soon be celebrating nineteen years of matrimony with his beautiful wife, with whom he has two children. In fact, Josh’s focus on his family is one of the reasons he loves his work; the flexible schedule it offers allows him to play a huge role in his kids’ lives, including attending and even coaching their games. Given how enthusiastic they both are about sports and athletics, that’s a massive perk.
Carpet and upholstery cleaning is a rewarding line of work to Josh both for the satisfaction he takes from a job well done and from the relationships he’s built and fostered with his customers over the years. Naturally a people person, Josh has a friendly and honest demeanor that has charmed the countless people he’s crossed paths with over the decades he’s been working. He sees his customers a bit like some might see their extended family; checking in on them for an hour or two every year, seeing how they’re doing and how their kids have grown, and promising to see each other in another twelve months. He does his best to foster these relationships and takes genuine pride in the friendships he’s developed with his customers over the years.
Josh’s gregarious personality isn’t the only thing Mighty Clean has going for it, of course. He also prides himself on his superior quality of service and on his fair and reasonable pricing. One of his favorite parts of the job is the “look on people’s faces when they didn’t realize how good their carpet would look if it was cleaned,” especially when his work just saved them thousands of dollars on getting their floors redone. For first-time homebuyers, his work can be a massive source of stress relief.
Of course, Mighty Clean does more than just carpets; they also handle tile and grout. Josh also specializes
in cleaning and treating upholstery. He can offer a range of services for your couches, recliners, loveseats, and even the inside of your car, boat, or RV. If you have an office or other commercial space that needs cleaning, or even a whole apartment complex, he can do that, too; no job is too big or too small and there are never any hidden fees. Josh prides himself on keeping his prices affordable and giving his customers an honest and fair deal every time.
If you’re looking for a carpet cleaner, you can reach Mighty Clean at (503) 956-6148 or visit their website at https:// mightycleanonline.com/ to schedule a cleaning and get more information on pricing. No matter how big the stain is and no matter how mysterious its origins, Mighty Clean Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning Services can help make your carpet or upholstery look fantastic.
Unmasking Halloween
A journey into its ancient origins
By Robert Matsumura, Contributing Writer
Each autumn as October draws near, neighborhoods transform. Pumpkins leer from porches, skeletons and monsters festoon front yards, and children eagerly anticipate the thrill of trick-or-treating and the hoard of candy they will amass. But where did this creepy spectacle we call Halloween originate?
The answer to this stretches back over two thousand years to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sowin). Celebrated on October 31st, Samhain marked the close of summer and the commencement of winter — a dark, cold, time associated with death in Celtic tradition. On the night before Samhain, the Celts believed the boundary between the living and the dead grew thin, permitting spirits to roam freely across
the earth. To ward off these visitors from the other side, people built bonfires and donned costumes fashioned from the heads and hides of animals.
Later, as the Roman Empire gained dominion over much of Europe, their festivals of Feralia (commemorating the passing of the dead) and Pomona (honoring the goddess of fruits and trees) merged with Samhain. This cultural fusion brought apple bobbing into the festivities. Pomona, the goddess of orchard fruits, was often depicted bearing apples, a symbol of the harvest and abundance. Incorporating apples into the holiday is a nod to Pomona’s influence — still seen today in bobbing for apples and the tradition of candy apples. As the centuries passed, celebrating the harvest and honoring the dead were integrated into Halloween traditions, blending Roman and the older Celtic customs together as something new.
Fast forward to the 8th century when Pope Gregory III declared November 1 as All Saints’ Day or All Hallows’ Day, to honor saints and martyrs. These new holidays were part of a broader strategy by the Christian church to replace pagan festivals with Christian ones. As time passed, the night before October 31, became All Hallows’ Eve — morphing eventually into Halloween. It was during this period that traditions like souling and guising emerged, where the poor went door to door requesting soul cakes in exchange for their prayers on behalf of the dead. It was this tradition that evolved into what we know today as trick-or-treating.
The jack-o’-lantern, one of the most iconic symbols of Halloween, has its own fascinating origin. The tradition of carving faces into vegetables predates Halloween and originates from ancient Irish folklore. According to the story, a man named Stingy Jack attempted to trick the Devil and was condemned to roam the earth with only a lantern fashioned from a carvedout turnip to light his way. In Ireland turnips were used for this purpose during Halloween festivities, but upon reaching the New
World, Irish immigrants discovered that pumpkins, native to their new home, were larger and easier to carve. This practical switch gave rise to the now-familiar jacko’-lantern, a central feature of Halloween décor to this day.
Halloween continued to evolve in the New World. In colonial America, European traditions integrated with indigenous harvest festivals creating new customs. While many American colonists celebrated Halloween with activities such as fortune-telling, dancing and communal gatherings, the Puritans, due to their strict religious views, frowned upon Halloween festivities, deeming them to be pagan and irrelevant. Despite puritanical naysayers, the 19th century saw Halloween expand into a community-centered event with activities like parades, parties and mischief-making. Halloween also grew to be accepted by schools, churches and civic groups which began
holding those same parties, parades and other festivities. As Halloween became a family-friendly event, much of the raucous mischief-making of the past began to diminish.
By the early 20th century, Halloween was celebrated from coast to coast as a national holiday. In the decades following World War II, Halloween traditions were firmly entrenched with costumes, trick-or-treating and spooky decorations taking center stage. Instead of the laborious handsewn costumes of the past, factories now mass-produced inexpensive costumes that made dressing up for Halloween a snap. As Halloween became increasingly commercialized, themed parties, haunted houses and an expanding array of Halloween-themed merchandise became the norm.
Today, Halloween’s popularity has only burgeoned. Contemporary trends run the gamut from spooky movie marathons and elaborate haunted attractions, to viral social media challenges and interactive experiences. Year-round Halloween shops exist to satiate your spooky urges. Halloween has even expanded the ghostly season to stretch beyond October 31, with Halloween promotions and events commencing as early as September. So commercially successful is Halloween from a business standpoint that it
stands second only to Christmas in terms of revenue generated — a testament to its enduring appeal across generations.
As the air grows chill and the trees turn red and gold, remember that Halloween is more than just candy, costumes and jack-o’-lanterns. It’s a tapestry woven from ancient rituals, Christian traditions and the spiritual beliefs of numerous cultures spanning centuries. It’s a time to embrace the spooky, celebrate community and be on the lookout for spirits that may stalk the earth at this sacred time of year.
So as you don your costume and select a pumpkin for carving, take a moment to ponder the ancient roots of this beloved holiday. Whether you’re young or simply young at heart, Halloween is an invitation to revel in the mystery of the unknown, celebrate the cycle of life and death, and to maybe even bob for an apple or two. And as the last light fades on All Hallows’ Eve, the timeless allure of things that go bump in the night is sure to embrace you once more.
Happy Herds
Local farm has a heart for cattle
share. These days, Beth and her trusty farmhand Daniel are the primary farm workers, with her son and husband assisting when available and her daughters helping with deliveries.
Exemplary care for the animals is a cornerstone of the business at Wholesome Family Farm. The cows graze in rotating pastures all year long. Winter is the only time they’re brought inside; they still have access to forage but can enjoy roomy barns with fresh air and soft bedding. Every animal is treated with love and respect. “All our cows have names, even the ones for butcher. They’re all friendly and will come right up to you for scratches,” says Beth.

Buying beef from a local farm rather than the grocery store has countless benefits, from the nutritional value to the flavor. Just ask Beth and Jeff Kittle of Wholesome Family Farm, who’ve dedicated their operation to raising pasture-raised, grass-fed and finished cattle whose health and happiness are paramount!
One big difference between Wholesome and most local cattle farms is that the animals never leave the farm, not even for processing. To avoid the stress of being transported
The family’s been involved with beef since around 1998, and buying Wholesome Family Farm in 2019 was the culmination of years of purchasing local meat, finishing steers, the kids raising yearlings for 4H and learning about genetics to breed better animals. When they bought the business, the owners sold Jersey beef and raw milk, and the Kittles transitioned the herd from grain to grass-fed and finished Angus. They still host a pick-up site for raw milk from Heritage Family Farms, who took over the original herd
to a USDA facility, the family hires a specialty butcher to visit the farm and harvest the meat on-site. “Another way we show our respect for the animals is to utilize every part, including the organs and bones,” she adds. “We’re grateful for what they’re doing for us.”
Dry-aged for 14 days at their custom butcher in Hillsboro, beef is sold in shares, and the farm offers everything from a whole share down to one-sixteenth. It’s a proportionate allotment of the animal, and the larger the purchase, the less the customer pays per pound of hanging weight. Costs to the consumer include the cut and wrap fees at the butcher, which vary based on cutting instructions. Visit Wholesome’s website for close cost estimates and to put a deposit on a share. The total balance is due when the beef is at the butcher. Beef shares are processed by hand and include a variety of delicious cuts like brisket, prime rib roast, T-bones, filet mignon and much more!

Beth has traveled and received extensive education in animal genetics, allowing her to develop a careful breeding program that produces naturally well-marbled beef ready for harvest at 18 to 23 months of age. The farm breeds for factors like taste and tenderness, and its loyal following
can attest to the superior flavor of its beef. It boasts a deep red hue, around 90 to 93% lean and a rich taste that can best be described as ‘extremely beefy.’ “It’s delicious and doesn’t need extra seasonings; just a little salt and pepper,”
Beth says. “Our customers are always complimenting the quality of our meat.”
The Kittles are not just cattle ranchers; they’re very much farmers because they protect the pastures. Year-round grazing requires a combination of pasture rotation, restoration of soil health and protection of pollinators. They also preserve the
creek that runs through their property, and Oregon lamprey eels have returned to swim alongside the cattle. Pastures are never sprayed, and the family spends hundreds of hours hand-picking noxious weeds. “Being good stewards of our land to provide this service for people is our most important job,” Beth says.
The Kittles host visitors for tours of the farm by appointment. “I encourage people to come out and meet the animals,” she says. “It’s important to know where your food comes from.” Frozen shares can be picked up directly from the butcher when ready, or Wholesome delivers from Vancouver to Eugene.
Wholesome Family Farm is located at 15204 S.W. Muddy Valley Rd. in McMinnville. Please give them a call at 503-332-7792 or visit their website at wholesomefamilyfarm.com.

Big Impact with No Rate Increase
What the Chemeketa bond means for you
By Kelly Romo, Contributing Writer
This November, voters across the Yamhill Valley and surrounding areas will have a pivotal opportunity to shape the future of local education and workforce development by supporting the Chemeketa Community College 2024 Bond Levy. For decades, Chemeketa has been a cornerstone of the community, dedicated to offering highquality education and specialized training that aligns with the evolving needs of students and local industries. The upcoming bond measure, set to appear on the November ballot, is not just a routine vote — it’s a critical investment in sustaining and enhancing the programs and facilities that have made Chemeketa an essential resource for the region. This bond represents a chance to ensure that Chemeketa continues to serve as a beacon of educational excellence and a driving force behind economic growth in our community.
The proposed bond is set at $0.27 per $1,000 of assessed property value and is designed to generate $140 million in revenue. This funding will support critical improvements across Chemeketa’s campuses, including the Yamhill Valley Campus. Importantly, this bond will maintain the current rate, ensuring that property owners will continue to pay just $75.60 per year on a home valued at $280,000. This modest investment promises significant returns for the community.
With the funds from this bond, Chemeketa plans to enhance its career and technical education capacity, particularly in highdemand fields like healthcare, trades and emergency services. Critical learning facilities will undergo renovations to better serve students and, by extension, the broader community. The bond includes critical safety and infrastructure improvements, such as modernized classrooms and enhanced parking lot safety so all students have access to a secure, state-of-the-art learning environment.
This bond measure is more than just an investment in facilities; it is an investment in the future of our community. If passed, it will enable Chemeketa to continue providing high-quality education that produces well-trained graduates. These graduates, equipped with the skills necessary to earn family wages, will be ready to contribute to the local economy, whether they enter the workforce immediately or pursue further education. They are, without a doubt, the backbone of our community’s prosperity. Your support for this bond is a vote for a brighter future for our community.
The 2024 bond will replace the 2008 bond, which is set to expire, at the same rate. This means property owners’ tax bills will not increase. It’s important to note that bond money is allocated specifically for facilities, technology, and learning equipment — not for salaries. For more information about this important measure and its impact on our community, please visit www.chemeketa.edu/about/2024-bond/.
If you’re interested in taking classes at Chemeketa Community College, campuses are located throughout the Willamette Valley, including their main Salem Campus at 4000 Lancaster Dr. NE and their Yamhill Valley Campus at 288 NE Norton Ln in McMinnville. Visit www.chemeketa.edu/ for more information.

Do You Suffer with Chronic Sinusitis?
“Thanks Dr. Siegfried. No more sinus congestion, allergies, snoring or mouth breathing,” —Niki Z.
“After the eighth treatment, I was sleeping solidly for eight straight hours for the first time in eight years. And by the way, no more drugs!!” —Jon V.N.
Breathe Better Now!
Are you sick and tired of chronic sinus congestion? Dr. George Siegfried, Chiropractic Physician at Dunn Chiropractic Clinic in McMinnville, has been helping patients breathe better with Bilateral Nasal Specific Treatment since 1976. This natural, nonsurgical treatment has helped alleviate chronic sinus and other related problems even in patients who have already had sinus surgeries, or those who have considered sinus surgery prior to visiting Dr. Siegfried. “Desperate” and “at the end of their rope,” these patients are grateful for his care and expertise in providing Bilateral Nasal Specific Treatment, which he has performed thousands of times. Furthermore, this treatment uses no drugs and no needles.
Could This Be You?
It’s been estimated that 30 to 60 million people in America suffer from sinus congestion which can manifest in mouth breathing, dry eyes, dry mouth, snoring, limited sleep and sleep apnea, low energy, loss of smell, taste and hearing. Many have had to resort to a CPAP machine to keep their airways open, just to try and obtain a decent sleep cycle.
Who Can Benefit?
Over the years, Dr. Siegfried, an international chiropractor, treated world-class athletes from the 1984 Italian Olympic Team Track and Field Division, United Arab Emirates Track and Field Team, and other world-class athletes. He’s treated Broadway dancers, San Francisco Ballet dancers, opera singers and jockeys. Bilateral Nasal Specific Treatment has helped children and adults suffering with chronic sinusitis “get their life back” after experiencing a deviated septum, broken nose, concussion, whiplash injury, birth injury and more. Dr. Siegfried has helped so many patients that his colleagues have referred to him not only as the leading expert in this treatment, but also the “guru” and even the “godfather.”
Who is Dr. Siegfried and His Clinic?
Dr. Siegfried has been in practice since 1984 at the Dunn Chiropractic Clinic and is the third generation of chiropractors at that clinic. Established in McMinnville in 1922, Dunn Chiropractic has “A Compassionate Tradition of Natural Pain Relief and Wellness,” states Dr. Siegfried. The father of four grown children and grandpa to nine grandchildren, Dr. Siegfried studied over 10 years and 1,000 hours as protégé to Dr. J.R. Stober, the developer of this natural, non-surgical specialty. Treatment is selfpay as Dr. Siegfried is out of network for insurance, but patients from all over the world seek him out to help relieve their chronic sinusitis and escape the drudgery of the related suffering.
To consult with Dr. Siegfried, call the clinic at (503) 433-6902, located at 301 N.E. Dunn Place, McMinnville. Clinic hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9AM-6PM. Dr. Siegfried’s website is nasalspecific.com.

My Confession to Yamhill County...
I know you. You re the doctor that I ve seen in the ad with your son Chris, from the Bachelorette. ” Well, I want you to know a little more about that picture and why I use it in my ads. Years ago in High School in Philly something happened that changed my life. I hurt my back playing football. Really bad! I could hardly walk. I remember the instant I felt that knife in my back. My Dad took me to Dr. Hill, our family chiropractor who adjusted my back.
Dear Friend,
Dear Friend,
When I meet people in Yamhill County, they usually say, “Oh I know you. You’re the doctor that I’ve seen on YouTube with your son Chris, from The Bachelorette.” Well, I want you to know a little more about that picture and why I used it in my ads. In 1976, when I was 26 and studying to be a chiropractor, I received an amazing treatment that totally changed my life and got rid of my chronic headaches, sinusitis and snoring from falls, bumps and thumps in sports, even a few fights growing up on the streets of Philly. It is called the Bilateral Nasal Specific Treatment from my teacher Dr. Stober, at the University of Western States in Portland. And all I could say then, and even now, was, “WOW!”
After that first treatment, I was able to breathe so much better through my nose. And my headaches? It felt like a knife was taken out of my head. Even my vision improved from needing glasses to not needing glasses. At age 26, you learn to put up with a lot, but I was at the end of my rope, desperate, in spite of being a competitive athlete pitching in the semi-professional Portland City League. Once I had that adjustment, the lights went on for me and I knew at that moment I wanted to learn this special technique. I spent over 1,000 hours over a 10-year period observing and studying with Dr. Stober and am now a leading expert. I became his protégé and the only student to treat him for the chronic headaches he sustained from a bad head injury as a kid. Those headaches lead him to develop this special, non-surgical treatment. I also truly believe he saved my son Chris from a lot of suffering as well.
could stand up straight and walk. And the pain was gone! I knew at that moment I wanted to be a chiropractor, even though I was supposed to follow in the surgical footsteps of my great uncle who founded Nazareth Hospital in Philly – and cousin – who was an orthopedist. After undergraduate college at Schiller University in Heidelberg Germany, and pre-med studies at Temple University, I was accepted at the University of Western States in Portland, drove across the country, started in the fall of 1976 and graduated in 1981. And as they say, the rest is history. But before settling in McMinnville at the Dunn Chiropractic Clinic which was founded in 1922, I had the good fortune to travel with and take care of professional Broadway and Ballet dancers, Jockeys, the 1984 Italian Olympic Team Track and Field Division and many other professional athletes while in Italy.

Now, my CONFESSION is that I don’t heal anyone!! I never have. I don’t treat or cure any of the problems patients come to me with. Here’s how it works: I make a specific adjustment to the sphenoid bone in your head. Your brain and nervous system then function better. It’s your body that does the healing. And I’ve had amazing results in practice since performing this special, non-surgical treatment thousands of times since 1976.
Unique offer: you shouldn’t need expensive surgery, CPAP or drugs to breathe better!! If you bring in this article or mention it from online, you will receive a full consultation for only $97 to see if you are a candidate for my Bilateral Nasal Specific Treatment. This consultation usually costs $295 to find out if you are a candidate for this potentially lifechanging treatment and could benefit from my non-surgical care plan. If you qualify for care and decide to take on your first treatment, I will waive the consultation fee.

When Chris was born, after a 36-hour labor, he had a conehead and we were told that he may have some cerebral palsy due to the stress on his head from the birth process. The day after he was born, I took him to Dr. Stober who did the nasal specific treatment on his head and adjusted the top bone in his spine. Right in front of our eyes we could see the shape of his head changing. I took over Chris’s care from there and he became an All -Star Baseball pitcher and Soccer player, a walk on at the University of Portland, and junior year was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 11 th round, the 354 th pick and pitched for them for 5 years. One never knows how valuable a nasal specific, chiropractic adjustments and sound nutrition can do for someone ’s health.

Mar 15 – Marty Isenberg’s Wes Anderson Playlist: Bassist Marty Isenberg and his ensemble of talented musicians capture the melancholy, wonder and precision of filmmaker Wes Anderson.
Apr 12 – BEO String Quartet: Founded by two MexicanAmerican brothers in 2015, the eclectic and highly polished BEO String Quartet is a daring, genre-defying ensemble.
Jun 7 – The Revelers: The Grammy-nominated Revelers have created a “Louisiana jukebox” that is at once modern and traditional.
