From the Director’s desk SPRING SELLERS GUIDE! Think that selling your home is the same process no matter what season it is? We’re here to show you that it isn’t. If you are selling your Perth home this Spring, there are a number of ways you can add a little bit of flair, seasonal decorations, and work with the season’s weather to enhance your property even further. Here are some great tips on selling your home in Spring.
Spring Cleaning isn’t just a cliché For most people, your home will be open for inspection while you’re still living there. Your furniture and belongs will be around the house during viewings and home opens, so this is a perfect time for a spring clean and really go through cupboards and drawers. Be smart about what you need to take with you when you move house, and once you’ve completed a thorough cleanout you’ll find that you have new places to keep what remains in order while you still call this home ‘home’. The less cluttered a home looks the more likely it is to sell.
Get your garden in order We all know that Spring is when flower and plants start to bloom in a big way. If you have a front or back garden, make sure it’s looking fantastic - get all that weeding, pruning and watering out of the way before your home inspections start. If it’s looking a little bare, grab some plants that are already in bloom from your local gardening store and get planting! A beautiful, full and well maintained garden always earns bonus points in the eyes of homeowners.
Bring the outdoors in Once your garden is up to scratch you can start to think about the inside of your home. Use flowers from your own garden or from a local florist to spruce up the inside of your home. Place arrangements on the kitchen table, coffee table or in the foyer to not only provide a welcoming feel, but to have your house smelling and looking lovely. Work closely with your home’s existing interior style to complement colour schemes and themes when you put together a flower arrangement. Buy what’s in season and don’t be afraid to get creative.
