Reiwa.com’s latest real estate analysis of the Kwinana-Rockingham local area, which comprises 27 suburbs, is based on the four week period to 21 September 2015. During this four week period, reported sales lifted 11% on the previous four weeks, with local property sales sitting at 235 across land, units and houses.
Sales activity and property for sale While overall sales lifted 11% in the four weeks to 21 September, the reported overall sales number of 235 is down 9% the same time last year. This total sales figure is broken down into 191 house sales, 23 unit sales and 21 land sales.

Local listings for sale increased 8% over the four week period to sit at 1,950 from 1,808, however this number is 54% higher than the same time last year when the number of listings for sale was 1,266. For comparison, the total number of properties listed for sale in the Perth metro region for this same period are up 41% on the same week last year. The average number of days to sell a property in the Kwinana-Rockingham area increased by 14 days across the three months to August 2015, to now sit at 78 days. Over this same period, the Perth metro region increased by 16 days to 70 average selling days.
Rental market The total number of properties leased for rent (houses and units) for the four weeks to 21 September lifted 8% to 463, which is up from 429 in the four weeks prior. This figure is also 18% higher than the same time last year, when the number of properties leased sat at 392. Rental listings in the Kwinana-Rockingham local market area decreased by four per cent to 663 in the four weeks to 21 September, which is down from 692 listings in the four weeks prior. At the same time last year, rental listings in the Kwinana-Rockingham area sat at 499. The median rent for the area is $380 per week, which is $20 less per week than for the three months to August 2014.
