The Robinsons

A man running through the fields, escaped and wounded. Running fast but only as fast as he can, having a bad time getting away from what he was running from. With having a nasty wound to at his left side of his gut…. Losing blood on the way…… Scene 1 The days pass, while Billy and Jane play in the field, almost every day. Some days they go off to the beach and play, but not today… Billy: Hey Jane, what cha doing over there? You seem quite right now! Jane: Huh, what cha say? (While still looking at what she’s found) Billy: Oh, (as Billy is walking towards Jane) I was asking what cha doing, you’re so quiet is all?! Billy pauses for a second as he takes a second look at what’s going on now... Billy: What, why do you always find the strangest things? Wait, move a second, I want to see. Jane: No Billy, I don’t, but this just is the strangest thing, it’s all rusty. Whatever it is, its stuck deep in the ground. Both Billy and Jane were trying to figure it out. Finally, Billy looked at his watch and noticed the time. Billy: Oh god, look at the time, come on Jane, we got to get home. Its dinner times. Come on. Jane: ok, ok (as Jane rolls her eyes) I’m coming already. Fine but I want to come back and check this out later…. or tomorrow.! Billy: Yeah sure I…I just want to get home, so we don’t get yelled at either. Ok.!! Jane: Yes Billy, ok, I know what you mean ugh… Billy and Jane were home in a matter of minutes. Since there house was just a short distance from the fields as it was from the beaches. By then it was near 6 p.m. and just about time for dinner… (CUT) SCENE 2 Billy and Jane ran into the house to wash up for dinner, while, while Linda was finishing up setting the table for dinner... Linda: Ok you two, did you have a good day today? And I’m glad you made it home on time too. Jane: Yes, I had a good day, thank you. (smiles)

Then I went and had some fun afterwards at the fields. Linda: Billy? did you hear me? So, I asked how your day went? Billy: Oh sorry, I didn’t hear you, I was running the water over my face and didn’t hear you, sorry. I got a little dirty than usual today, sorry. Linda: Oh Billy, no its fine, just means you’re playing like a kid should, its fine, same with Jane, honey would you please go clean up. Jane your face is a bit dirty. Jane: Ugh, ok be right back. As Jane walks back to wash up her face, Ken walked in from a long day’s hard work. Mostly mumbling and grubbily. Kissed his wife on the cheek, then walked off into the bedroom. Minutes later both Billy and Jane are sitting at the table being served, while waiting as Ken comes out from the bedroom and is all ready for dinner. SCENE 3 Ken helps himself to the fridge and grabs a cold one after a long and tiring day, comes back to the table and sits with the rest. Ken: Mm … smells good, so how was your day (to everyone)? Billy: Good. Jane: Good Linda: Its was ok, just a bit busy, working at the shop for some time, then getting home to clean up some things around the house. Then to make a great, that one of the ladies at work suggested of a recipe.! Ken: Oh ... what? So, your usual cooking isn’t good enough, I mean it’s the way you say it. (Ken with a bit of an attitude) Linda is now looking upset, only to find that she was hoping that something new to make and cook would be better and different than the usual dinners. Linda: Well ... I... I…just thought I would try something new, something different. I’m sorry for trying. As Linda sits all upset and having nothing more to say, Billy and Jane just keep quiet and sit as they eat their dinner in a bare of silence.

SCENE 4 Ken: Eh ok yeah, look I’m sorry ok.!

Linda still upset and tries to bear with it as she tries to eat her own dinner on her plate. Ken: Ok FINE then (crakes open his cold one “drink”) then processed to stand from the table. Ken goes from the table and steps outside annoyed an to get some air, thinking that maybe a bit of alone time would work right now when family time is what he always really wants. (CUT) After Ken walked outside, Linda motioned to Billy and Jane to go get ready after dinner for bed. Billy and Jane already knew why by now. Both feeling a bit down. Linda: (In a quiet and low tone) Ok go get ready for bed, I’ll tuck you two in, ok Billy: Yeah, no desert? Oh man. Linda: No, I’m sorry guys, and if I bring you two any at all, Ken will know its missing. You know how he gets. Billy: Fine Bedtime comes around, Linda went in after Billy and Jane have changed into their pajamas. (CUT) SCENE 5 Linda: Ok Billy, good night sweet dreams. (as she gives him a kiss on the cheek and a hug) Billy: (with a smile) ok thanks, you too (hugs and kissed her back) Linda: Ok Jane, (kisses her good night) good night sleep tight, oh, here’s your doll, you dropped her on the floor. Jane: Alright, night sleep tight. (as she smiled back at Linda) Linda leaves their rooms and back into the kitchen, to where Ken stands looking at her from near the kitchen table. As she just continues to clean up, she tells Ken in a body language to just leave me be for now. (CUT) SCENE 6 Ken: Look, I’m sorry, I just had a bad day at work, there moving a lot of things around there and getting pushed on me. I’m sorry for taking out on you! I’m really sorry. Please forgive me. Let me help you Hun. Linda stops a minute and looks at Ken. (In an upsetting look on her face)

Linda: Look Ken, these children are not OURS, you DO remember that not blood at least, that we adopted them correct? So, the next time you want to have some little outburst. Have it out on your BOSS. NOT me or these kids, ok that hurt, and it hurt them as well, pushes them away as well. Ken at this point, is feeling as belittle as the earthworm’s craw in the dirt and sees his wife’s point and knows she’s right, even thou he knows that he has a short temper at times as well. Ken: Your right Linda, and I am so, so sorry. I never meant to blow up that way with you or in front of the kids, it won’t happen again, I promise. Linda: Ok fine, start by helping me clean up this kitchen, ok? Both Ken and Linda cleaned up the kitchen together, as they were finishing up, Ken noticed the desert laying on the side that Linda had made for after dinner time. Ken: Hey, you made some desert, mmm yummy.! Linda looked over with a smirk Linda: Oh ... Oh yeah, I made it for sure, but I made it for all of us to have tonight, after dinner, unless you’re going to allow Billy and Jane to have some tonight, it’s not getting touched.! Ken: (laughs an shook his head) sure, sure they can have some, I mean it’s my fault there in bed I guess since I snapped and… Ken: NO, it’s ok I get it, yes, they can have some desert. Linda: Well that’s sweet of you for once. Ok I’ll go and see if there still awake. Linda them served Billy and Jane a plate, in which they were grateful in getting. Afterwards as it had gotten darker an everyone was fast asleep; Ken was the last one to go to bed since he had been sitting out on the porch thinking and getting some fresh air. (CUT) SCENE 7 The next day came, Ken was fast out the door and off to work. Linda was finishing getting dressed, just before coming out to the kitchen to get breakfast started. Today was going to be a busy day for Linda so she had to hustle a bit. Linda: Billy, Jane it’s time to wake up for breakfast. Jane wakes up first as she smells the food coming from the kitchen Jane dressed quickly and then ran off to the bathroom to wash up and brush her teeth. Jane: Ok I’m up, just going to the bathroom and brushing my teeth. Be right out. Linda: Ok Jane, can you knock on your brother’s door an tell him its breakfast time? Thank you.

Jane: Ok no problem Linda: Thanks sweetie Jane: Billy wake up, come on its time to get up now. I know your awake. (In a low voice) Ken isn’t here, he left for work already knuckle head. Billy heard her say that clear as day and popped the door open to go to the bathroom, he had to go really bad an went flying past Jane. Linda: Jane you let Billy know? Jane: Yes. Linda: thanks. Billy come on now, breakfast is getting cold. Billy: I’ll be right out, I’m in the bathroom, I had to go and cleaning up first, almost dome be right there. (CUT) SCENE 8 Both now are sitting at the table having their breakfast, Billy is dressed well this fine lovely day indeed, as Linda is finishing up her muffin and drinking her coffee. Getting ready for work as for Billy had other plans this fine day and Jane still wanted to find out what she had found in the ground. Hoping Billy was going as well… Jane: So, Billy, you want to go play later at the fields, or?? Billy: I don’t know, maybe. There’s something I might be doing later. Why? Jane: Gee, ok fine I’ll go myself. I thought we would go together, since we always we always do things and stick together. Linda: Hey, what’s all this about you two, what’s going on? Billy: Oh nothing, just stuff... things we do here and there, well were just going to out and play and I don’t want to go somewhere jane wants. Least not now hear you.! Jane: Yea, well guess not today, huh Billy?

Billy: STOP Jane: Fine Linda: Ok what’s really going on with the two of you today? Acting a bit strange?! Billy: I don’t know, just something Jane found I guess and wants to check it out, I don’t care too much for it. I mean it looks interesting, but not now. Jane: Ugh thanks Billy

Linda: What you guys be careful in what you do find, I don’t want you either one of you hurt. So, be careful what you two do ok?! Billy: Yea, I got it Jane: Yes of course, thanks again Billy Linda: Ok well look at that, time to get running, I have to get to work. So, you to be careful and stay out of trouble, don’t want either one of you hurt. Ok now run along you two. Billy: ok you two have a good day Jane: ok thanks, same to you. Both grab their bags and start heading out the door chatting about who said what and why and what they’re planning the day on doing… or so we thought... (CUT)

Billy and Jane started walking down through the path they always go which leads either the beach or the fields. Jane: So, what’s cha want to do today? Anything interesting? Say, we can go back to the fields and go check out what we discovered?! Billy: No, I’m not going to the fields, if that’s what you feel like doing, go for it, I’m a bit busy today and have something in mind. But if that’s what you want to do, ok, maybe I’ll catch up later. (Jane getting frustrated and grunts) Jane: Ooh … your no fun Billy, and what’s up your sleeve? What do YOU have planned that you don’t want to hang out as always and find out what that is? (Billy doesn’t answer) Jane: Fine, I’ll go alone then. Jane: Wait, don’t you even want to know thou, of what it even is? Of what we have found? Who knows what it may be, you know?! Billy: Umm, no not really, I, maybe later or something. I just have something I want to do and it’s kind of…. Jane: Oh, well you want me to come along with you and keep you company, two is always better than one?! Could find things on the way! Billy: No, sorry but I’m good, no, I want to be alone right now ok, if that’s ok with you Jane.

Jane feeling a little bit on the down side of things as she strolls alone off towards the fields and on the search of what she had found in the grounds the night before, as Billy walks off on his own all dressed nice and neat and ready to head into town to see Sarah for her birthday an in which he never bothered to mention to his sister whatsoever. An as they part away the distance gets silent an only the sound of the birds and winds blowing… (CUT)

SCENE 9 Focusing on Jane as she is walking into the fields and noticing some stains , thou there not any ordinary stains, they seem to be red stains, all here and there, to her she couldn’t figure it out at first and then it dawned on her that it was blood stains. Stains that didn’t seem to have been here the night before, however she kept following the tracks of the stains and finally found the spot the where she had found the metal piece that was once in the ground, which is not there now…

Jane: Hmm ... wait a minute, where did it go? It was here, right here, I know it was, and now it’s gone? Hmm As Jane looks and searches around for it, and which can be found nowhere, nowhere in sight, she knows she’s not losing her mind. She knows it was right here, her and Billy saw it in this very same spot not even 24 hours ago. It’s just missing and gone. Jane is now puzzled. Jane then comes across a man hiding behind a bush a very tall and wide bush, that he was just lying there and in bad pain, hiding from anyone and everyone, or so he thought, never knowing some little girl would come and find him in a dying. At first Jane was in fear of what she had run into. She had thought maybe an animal or something, but instead she ran into a dying and yet wounded man bleeding from the hip, which needed help. Or he would bleed out to death. Jane: Umm ... hey, you ok mister, you need some help, want some help?

Man-Joe: Ugh oh, I was hunting, and, and I, oh I feel and hurt myself pretty bad is all. (As Joe was lying threw his teeth) Jane looked concerned, thou a minute later and then…. Jane: Sure, I’ll help you, ok wait here, I’ll be right back. Let me get some things. (CUT) SCENE 10 Joe was pleased to know he was getting any kind of help, not to mention from one of the children of the parents he murdered in which he didn’t realize, nor did she. Jane was just always a kindhearted little girl

and always loved helping others. Joe then realized as well that since she was helping him out with his wounds, that he still had a chance, as he puts on a grin from ear to ear after Jane had left. Jane ran all the way home for supplies and gauze pads and bandage, antiseptics from the house. then rushed back to Joe. Jane: Ok here we go, look I have all this to help you with your wounds, will this do? Man-Joe: Yes, thanks kid, this will do just fine, thanks a lot. Say you wouldn’t have a place maybe I could go and wash up, would you? As Joe was cleaning up his wounds in some pain that he was in as well, trying to get it all together. Jane stood back a few feet and watched as she thought about it and thought well, he is hurt and looks a bit dirty. Maybe it would be ok to bring him back if he is able to walk that is to the house and he can wash up. Don’t think it would do any harm in that. As Jane was still looking around looking for that piece she was hunting for originally since yesterday. Man-Joe: Ah… Oh… DAMMIT. Jane: So, what happened again? How this happen to you? I missed that?! Man-Joe: Look, I said I was hunting, I fell, I cut myself… ok! Jane feeling a bit concerned still on bringing him back to the house, thou she knows it’s not right to see anyone hurt or die, so in her deepest feelings, she can tell it’s the right thing… Jane: Ok, I’m sorry, I just asked a question all.! I even got something to clean your wounds up. Joe hearing what Jane had to say and how she said it, started feeling a little bad for being a bit on the nasty side or what seemed to be, since he was in some pain at least. (CUT) Man-Joe: Hey, so what did you say your name was again? I’m sorry for being nasty like that, it’s just this wound is killing me, and hurts really bad, you know.? Jane: ok fine, well I have an older brother that’s about a couple years older than me. He gets grumpy too, I get it.

Jane started feeling bad for Joe and felt she could help him out somehow. Joe started to smirk… to a smile on his face. Man-Joe: Say, you think I can rest up at or somewhere near your house, this way I can also wash up too if I need to? Maybe a shed or garage? Jane: Hmm, well you are hurt, and I was taught to help those in need of help, because one day I would need the same thing as you.

Jane: sure, I’ll help you. Come on with me. (CUT) SCENE 11 Billy, walking on threw the fields, minding his business as usual. Without a care or thought of what may happen or who may come around, nothing to worry about, just carefree as any other day, as if it were a day with his sister Jane. Then from nowhere he heard a loud noise and moans and trembles from his direction he was headed. At this point just to be safe he then ducked out of the way before the heard of people came rushing past on a rampage. Not that many people but to an 11-year-old it seemed to be a lot. Billy: WHAT, what was that all about? I can’t even? (After Billy stands up out of the bushes and dirt) Billy: Oh man, now look at me. All dirty, and Sarah is going to think I’m just a dirty boy all the time. Oh MAN. Billy: Well, I still hope I get to see Sarah today for her birthday at least. (Billy with a smile on his face from ear to ear) Billy: Yes, almost there and there’s Sarah’s house. I don’t see her thou, ugh. (feeling down) Billy: I know, maybe she went to the coffee shop and get her favorite, SHIRLY TEMPLE, from Mr. Jones... Billy: I love that Mr. Jones, what a great guy he is, think I’ll get a drink as well, (looks in his pocket noticing only 1.50) ugh well I’ll go check there and say hi (CUT) Scene 12 Billy gets to the coffee shop finally, as he walks in, he is then greeted by Mr. Jones, then proceeds to walk to the counter and sit down. Billy glances out the side door and see’s there are a couple of ladies chatting with a little boy. Mr. Jones: Well hello there Billy, it’s been awhile since I’ve seen you around! Looking good kid. Billy: Hi Mr. Jones thanks, (smiles) Mr. Jones: So, what can I get for you today? Billy: Well, I don’t have much on me sir, ugh. Only about a dollar fifty.! Mr. Jones: what is it, money? Don’t worry about it, it’s on me kid. Known your family along time. What would you like?

Billy had gotten happy about the idea of him wanting to get him a drink or something to eat for free. He was shocked to hear that, but he wanted to see Sarah the most for her birthday and maybe get her something and forgetting to bring a little extra money. Billy: Oh, thank you so much Mr. Jones, that’s so kind of you. As Mr. Jones smiles at Billy and saying not a problem, the door opens with a shadow figure at first then it appears to be the Mayor, Mayor Barnett, Mr. Jones glanced over Billy as Billy turned in the instinct of what Mr. Jones noticed in about a second later. Mayor Barnett: Hello Mr. Jones, tell me you just gave out free food and drinks, we running a charity around here? FREE! Mr. Jones: Oh, Mayor Barnett, please tell me your joking (they step aside and chat, in a low tone) I’m sure you remember this young boys’ parents? And what happened? (Mayor’s eyes light up) Mayor Barnett: OH, god forgive me, yes, I do recall. Now, I don’t see anyone else in here YET. (chuckle) no but I’ll let it go. Mr. Jones: Mayor I’m not looking to argue, but you realize we have a crisis on our hands. The boy…well and his sister, their parents were murdered by this man, that runs free right now, cause he somehow escaped. Mayor Barnett: Your right, but since he escaped, Somehow. We have a squad out looking for his ASS, so relax on that. As the Mayor starts walking to a table to pull out a chair an about to have a seat, she announces to Mr. Jones Mayor Barnett: Oh Mr. Jones, would you be so kind as to bring me a cup of coffee, I could really use one about now. Gee, thanks. (CUT) Mr. Jones motions to Mayor Barnett, then turns to grab a coffee mug or two and pours her some coffee, as Billy interrupts Mr. Jones about what he would like as well. Billy: Mr. Jones, would you mind if I had a cup. Mr. Jones: Sure Billy, what would you like to drink? Soda, strawberry shack, hot coco? Billy: Hmm... I was thinking, what my dad always ordered, and I never really had my own, only sips of his. Coffee. Mr. Jones: Well if that’s what you want, then ok Billy. Coming right up for you. (smiles at Billy) Billy: I’ve tasted my dad’s, but that was it thou, never my OWN cup, you know.

Mr. Jones: Ok, here you go Billy, nice hot cup of coffee like you asked, like some milk or creamer? Sugar is right here on the counter.! Billy: yes, I would please, some milk would be fine thanks. Mr. Jones Ok then, here you go, now let me run this cup of coffee over to the Mayor before she gets uptight, ha, be right back there Billy boy. Mayor Barnett: Oh Mr. Jones, I’m still waiting on my coffee, it’s not cold now is it, yapping away with Billy I see your doing there? Mr. Jones: eh, coming right now, was just grabbing a side of both creamer and milk for you so you have a choice and of course the sugar is here on the table as I always keep it. Mayor Barnett: Oh lovely... thank you Mr. Jones So kind you are. Say, weren’t you with the law enforcement, some time ago? Mr. Jones: Excuse me? Mayor Barnett: You were a law enforcement; you should know what I’m talking about Mr. Jones. I’ve looked into you, in the records dept, and what I’ve found was interesting on you. Many years my friend (Mayor gives a grin at Mr. Jones) Isn’t that right Mr. Jones?? Mr. Jones: I’ve nothing to hide, and yes, if you’re asking if I was with the law, then yes, that’s correct, but I’m done with that, ended that when I was a lieutenant. Mr. Jones: Why do you ask that? And why didn’t you just come ask me, instead of snooping around my back? There’s a lot more to me then you don’t know, and won’t know, things you don’t ever want to know of, things that would make your stomach turn over 50 times and not think twice. Mayor Barnett is now a bit concerned or least has a look on her face as to why she may have said to Mr. Jones what she had said, thinking maybe she shouldn’t have said anything about looking into his files, as she goes from this high mighty look at him, she can’t bare now to stare into his and turns her head back to her coffee. And in a low tone, she apologies for that, Mr. Jones looks back at her and just gives a look as its ok don’t worry, as he rests his hand on her shoulder. He says a few words, its ok you looked but next time please just do me a favor and ask me. Mayor Barnett: I was just thinking of something. A backup plan if needed, that’s all. Mr. Jones: Oh, now I haven’t been active in years, but … Mayor Barnett: but that’s just it, it’s like riding a bike. Once you get on and ride it and not ever fall, you never forget again. As she looks over at Billy sitting on the stool, just minding his business and enjoying his coffee, she motions to Mr. Jones.

Mayor Barnett: well if you’re not thinking on doing anything, how about this, do it for the kids?! Mr. Jones: Mayor, we already have a sheriff in town, remember, maybe not the brightest, but we do. Mayor Barnett: HA, yes, we do, your 100% right on that. Thou he is what, 2w, maybe 3 years the most in this town. You know this town a lot more than anyone, and I’m sure you know the ins and outs a lot better. Mayor Barnett: Look Mr. Jones, I’m not being pushy, how about you think about it, maybe help contribute, if not for me, do it for the kids. Mr. Jones: Eh yeah sure, I’ll think about it, thou honestly, I would do it for these kids any day of course, they have a bright future ahead of them. You know. Mayor Barnett then turns back all happy about the way things may be going, going in her way of course, as she makes her coffee the way she likes it and starts sipping on it with a smirky grin. As Mr. Jones starts walking back to the counter towards where Billy was sitting and goes behind so, getting some things and washing up, another customer walks in, a woman, a friend of Mrs. Smith’s. Lisa, as she walks in towards the restrooms first, before having a seat to order. (CUT) SCENE 13 Mr. Jones: So how is Jane doing? Why didn’t she come by with you? Billy: She wanted to go to the fields. Because she found something yesterday, I didn’t care about it. Mr. Jones: Oh boy, well I wish she had come along, or you two were together at least. There’s this man out on the loose, a dangerous man. That’s all I’ll say. Mr. Jones: This isn’t good at all. (shaking his head) Mr. Jones scratches his face and then his head as he stands aside thinking of what to do. He walks a few steps away from Billy as he mumbles, just then, the door opens as another customer comes through. Lisa, a great and close friend of Mrs. Smith’s. She looks over at Mr. Jones, waves and smiles. Then off to the restroom she went. Billy: who was that Mr. Jones? Mr. Jones: Oh, that’s just Lisa, a nice young lady, she comes in time to time. Billy: Oh, ok she looks like a nice girl. Mr. Jones: Ha, yeah, she’s a nice person. Let me get her usual, be right back bud. Billy: ok

Lisa comes out of the restroom and to the counter to see Mr. Jones for her usual, as she also asked Mr. Jones who the boy was, after the greetings. Lisa: Ah, feeling better now, I’ve been trying to get here fast as possible to use the bathroom. And been running here fast as I can, hold on, just trying to catch my breathe. Running a few blocks ugh. Mr. Jones: Huh why, what do you mean you were running here? From whom? Or what?! Lisa: You didn’t hear about it yet? As all eyes focus on Lisa, they all get curious as to what she had to talk about. Mr. Jones is concentrating hardon what she had to say, as Billy moves over 2 seats more to listen in on. The Mayor now stops what’s she’s doing as well, and approaches. All 4 of them were now in on the conversation together listening to what Lisa was explaining what she saw and heard about Joe, and where his whereabouts. (CUT) SCENE 14 Lisa: Well not too far from here, I was walking the beach. As I was coming near the roads, I heard this strange noise. Somewhere near the fields. Billy: Your kidding? My sister! Mr. Jones: Now wait a second, did you even see anything, or just heard something? Lisa: Well that’s just it, let me finish. So, I heard this noise, and you know me, noisy as usual, I went looking at what it was, and I saw...

As Lisa stared at Billy and stepped away on to a few seats away, not taking her eyes off Billy, to speak to Mr. Jones alone away so he didn’t hear what she had to say. Something important.

Lisa: Hey Mr. Jones, come here for a second. (WHISPERING) not the boy thou. Mr. Jones: Alright, Billy wait here a minute. Umm here you go Billy, just stay and have your drink, be right back, don’t worry about anything.

MR JONES WALKS OVER TO LISA AND LISTENS

Mr. Jones: Ok what is it? And why you looking at Billy in a strange way? (CUT) SCENE 15

Lisa: I’m sorry, didn’t mean to, just remembered, his parents and. this guy. I just put it together, and it gave me a creepy feeling is all. Mayor Barnett: well that wasn’t a nice thing to do, staring at the boy that way. Can give him a complex. Just how sure are you that this is Joe, in the fields? Lisa: Look lady, you might think you know or run this town because your Mayor, but I know this town a lot longer than you, and I know who and what I saw. Mayor Barnett: Look here, I do what I see needs to be done, and I do my job as Mayor best as possible. Haven’t heard anyone complain until now. Lisa: Why YOU… Mr. Jones: LADIES, ladies RELAX. There’s no need for this and besides the boy is here watching. Stop this NOW. (CUT) SCENE 16

As Mr. Jones breaks up what almost was a cat fight, and also explains that Billy is still present. He comes to be able to calm both women down and tells them both to sit down and have a seat and calm things to figure things out.

Lisa has a seat at the counter on the stool, as Mr. Jones starts walking over to Mayor Barnett have some questions with her about the situation going on. Both the Mayor and Mr. Jones have words back and forth, just then Lisa turns to Mr. Jones and mentions a few people she knows of that can help.

Lisa: Wait a minute, I know a couple guys that are around town still, it’s not that much of a ghost town. There not far.

Mayor Barnett’s faced dropped as she felt played from a few towns people knowing so much more than herself, and she’s only been in the town as Mayor for a year and a half. The thought ran threw her head as she kept quiet for that time, and then went back to sipping her coffee.

Mr. Jones: Well do you now? Who would that be Lisa!? Lisa: Mike that I know of for sure, and Steve, well Steve is always usually in the same place anyways. So that shouldn’t be hard. Mayor Barnett: Oh, that’s real nice, get a couple guys you have no idea EXACTLY are, on top of that, there not even enforced with the law to provide this town.

(CUT) SCENE 17

Lisa: Look lady, you have any better ideas, other than sitting pretty and drinking your coffee, thinking you have this under control? Lisa: No, didn’t think so.

Lisa stands up after what she says to the Mayor, Lisa was about to start walking to the Mayor and confront her, as Mr. Jones was about to stop yet another argument. Lisa on the other hand stepped towards the Mayor only a few steps… Mr. Jones: Ok Lisa, stop there, you said you know where these guys are? Please go get a hold of them and bring them back here. Thanks Lisa. Lisa: Yes, I do Mr. Jones. Not a problem, I’ll be right back, or soon as possible. Mayor Barnett: Mr. Jones, do you realize what is going to happen if you send these… these, civilians.

Mr. Jones: Mayor, cool it now, you’re just thinking out of content, besides, didn’t you say you had people on the lookout? Mayor Barnett: OK, so I lied, ok a little fib, so sorry. Shoot me. Bottom line is, we have the sheriff in town, that’s a plus. However, even thou he is only about 2 years in

Mayor Barnett: you know thou; I really do wish you that you would reconsider, taking that badge again. (CUT) SCENE 18

Mr. Jones stared at the Mayor for a moment, then turned back to the counters as he nodded his head and thinking about it. Mayor Barnett than had finished up her coffee and got up from her seat, as she pushed her chair in, she thanked Mr. Jones for the coffee and asked one last time if he would reconsider taking back that badge and leave that coffee shop. Mayor Barnett had other business to attend elsewhere at the moment.

Meanwhile, a couple ladies were sitting, and chatting over a lovely cup of coffee. Along with them were there cute young boys playing together, all sorts of games and toys.

Laura: Girl, tell me what’s been new with you guys? Miss you guys. Cindy: Oh, the same ole usual, but let me ask you, have you heard yet? About that guy? Laura: What? You talking about that guy that murdered those poor kids’ parents? What were their names, wait, oh yes Robinsons? That’s it Cindy: Yes, I heard or least rumor has it, he escaped. So now they don’t know where he is. Laura: Oh my god, are you serious, well thank god that school is not in session or yet, still some time, and our babies are with us. Cindy: I know, right, makes me so sick to my stomach, just thinking about it now. Just hope they catch his ass, not safe to go anywhere so it seems. Laura: Oh, I hear you girl, we’ll just stick close together for the time being. But if I have to, I’ll take his ass out myself. The ole fashion way. As both women sat talking and sipping their coffee, as their children we’re playing alongside them. Lisa, she had a hutch and went off looking for both Steve and Mike, knowing they would never turn her down if she needed help of any kind. Lisa is walking blocks and blocks, then finally comes around to finding Mike for some help. However, Steve was nowhere around, and knew that the two of them were always together. Just not this time. Lisa: Finally, I found one of you, I need your help, and first of all, I kind of lied to Mr. Jones. I said I knew exactly where you and Steve would be, so I said I’ll be right back with them for help. Mike: Wait a minute, what? What’s wrong? I’m actually getting ready to go camping. Get away from this town and some peace and quiet. Lisa: Well, think I can get you to postpone that trip, please.” Mike: Look girl, let me tell you this much, I have been dying for this trip. I’ve paid good money on this, “Get this” a cabin in front of a beautiful crystal lake. Gorgeous. Lisa: Wow, well to be honest, I would join you if you wouldn’t mind, and if there wasn’t… Mike: what? What is it Lisa? What’s wrong now? Lisa: It’s just, it’s Mr. Jones. Mike: Well, why didn’t you say that, if something is wrong with Mr. Jones, then let’s get going. Where is Mr. Jones now? You aren’t pulling my chain, are you?

Lisa: Trust me, the last thing I would want to do, and thank you so much. (CUT) SCENE 19

Lisa and Mike went walking, looking for Steve all over town, didn’t take too much time until they final ran into John Smith. Steve still was nowhere in sight to be seen, least just yet.

John Smith: Hey there guys, huh, what’s up with the two of you, what are you guys a couple now, ha…ha. Lisa: Oh, you’re a funny guy their John. Look if you’re not at all busy, we could use your help. That’s if you’re not too busy! John Smith: hey look, I was just joking with you guys. Why? What’s up? So, who are we slaying anyway, ha? Lisa: Well…hmm. Mike: Lisa, wait a minute, so you lied to me? About Mr. Jones? What’s REALLY going on here? John Smith: Seriously, you weren’t kidding about that? I was just joking around and your serious about, slaying someone? Lisa: well, I’m not lying to you Mike about needing your help that Mr. Jones needs you, and the same to about what you said John. Yeah, I know, it’s a bit confusing. Just come with me to the shop. Mr. Jones will also explain it better. John and Mike both look at Lisa and then to one another. In a lost thought, to why Lisa wouldn’t say and only Mr. Jones, both of them standing there mumbling and scratching their heads and thinking. John and Mike thought it through fast and began to go back with Lisa. They wanted to not only figure out the situation, but also wanted to know what was going on, that Lisa wouldn’t say anything. (CUT) SCENE 19 Meanwhile, back at the coffee shop Mr. Jones was about to walk Billy back towards the fields to his home. This way Billy can get back to his sister, to make sure nothing has happened to her as well. Just as Mr. Jones walked out the door, Steve had showed up at the shop.

Mr. Jones: Billy, going to start walking you back now, this way you can catch up with your sister and make sure she’s ok just as well. I also know you get worried and see it in your face as well. Billy: Ok, thank you Mr. Jones, I can get there… Steve: Hi Mr. Jones, how’s it going? Hey there little buddy, Billy right. Hi there. Anyways Mr. Jones, would you mind a cup of coffee, and I’m just going to sit over in the corner here. Another man had walked in little bit after Steve, tom, a man named Tom who knew of Steve. Wasn’t too fond of Steve. Steve: Hey there Tom, how you doing? Want a coffee, on me. Tom: No thanks, I’m ok there Steve. Mr. Jones: So, Steve, who’s your friend here? Steve: Just a friend, coming to visit is all. He and I are going off, out to the mid-west, since Tom hasn’t been out that way yet. Might do some hunting as well. Mr. Jones: Well, maybe you could stick around a bit. There might be something I can use your help with around here. Lisa should be shorty, went looking for you and Mike. Guessing she’ll be back with Mike then, since you’re already here. Mr. Jones: Hate breaking those plans on you, but really can use you around here. Drinks on me, enjoy. Steve: Sure, come on Tom, let’s have a seat over here and wait for Lisa to get back with Mike. An find out what’s going on here. (CUT) SCENE 20 Tom and Steve and a seat with their coffee, Steve had a deck of cards to play while waiting around for Lisa to get back. Billy never got the chance in leaving to get home or start to, sitting there and worried and wondered on how she was and hoping that she was ok. Finally, Mr. Jones looked towards Billy and nodded to him, to let him know that he was ready to walk him, leaving in trust, Steve to tend the shop while he walked him half point. Mr. Jones: Ok, settled then, I’m going to walk Billy back halfway to the trail, Steve need you to keep an eye on the place along with Lisa should be back, when I do. Then we will all sit and listen to what I have to say. Ok Billy let’s get going, going to walk you to that half point. Steve: You got it, well Tom and I are just playing some cards for now, while waiting. Tom: Sure, no problem, besides the fact (Tom chuckling) I’m winning anyways.

Steve: Shit, knock it off asshole, so what if you are, it’s just a damn game. Making a big deal of it. Billy: So, Mr. Jones, are you ready now?” Mr. Jones: So sorry Billy. Yes. I’m ready. Ok then, let’s get a move on, shall we. Billy: Well, I really wanted to see Sarah today, you know. For her birthday that is. Too bad she’s busy thou. (CUT) SCENE 21 As they both started walking together, they we’re having a conversation, just about things going on and life.

Billy: Mr. Jones, if you know so much, why would you stay at the coffee shop? Mr. Jones: Well, I do it for the people and the care, I’ve done so many things in my life Billy. You couldn’t believe. Billy: Really, like what Mr. Jones. (As Billy stopped a second to look at Mr. Jones in a surprise) Mr. Jones: Ok, well back some years was the war I was in. Billy: War? You went into war? Mr. Jones: Yes, now hold on there, after that came the Police Academy, to which I served on the force for some years. Following the Peace Corp. Billy: That’s amazing, that’s a lot of stuff over time. Mr. Jones: Yes, indeed I suppose it is. Billy: How about your wife Mr. Jones? Did she miss you. Mr. Jones: Well there Billy, did things on my own, and never married at the time. Just never crossed my mind at the time. Billy: feel bad for you Mr. Jones. You had no one to love you when you we’re away or gone. If my mom was still around, she would love you, for the man you are. Mr. Jones sighs a moment, as he almost becomes speechless to say anything more, after Billy saying such a sweet and caring thought from his heart. From what his mother truly would feel father as well, in which Mr. Jones knew them well. Mr. Jones: You’re such a sweet and caring boy Billy, I hope you know that. That was so sweet and caring what you said about your mother. However, your right. I knew your parents well, and your 100% right.

(CUT) SCENE 22 Mr. Jones: Well I was just walking my buddy Just as Billy and Mr. Jones get near the path of the trail for Billy to get through, they came past the front of Sarah’s house. Billy saw the door opened and suddenly got all excited, thinking and hoping that Sarah would be inside and home. Unfortunately, it just so happened to be Mrs. Smith stepping out the front to greet both Mr. Jones and Billy. Mrs. Smith: Well hey there, nice seeing you. Hi there Billy, and same to you Mr. Jones, such a pleasure seeing you, as always. How you doing these days? Billy: Hi there Mrs. Smith, wondering if Sarah was home or around? Wanted to wish her happy birthday. Mrs. Smith: So sorry there Billy, she’s not home yet, she left early with her Uncle, early this morning, but she’s excepted sometime soon. Billy: Ah, ok then, well can you let her know I was looking for her to wish her a happy birthday?” Mrs. Smith: indeed, I will Billy, you got it. Mr. Jones: Well, just walking Billy to the trail, might go off to the beach in a little while, seem to catch my thoughts there. Nice and quiet there too. Mrs. Smith: Hmm, now that sounds like a delightful idea there, peaceful and quiet. Nothing but the sounds of the water hitting the sands, and the waves crashing. The sound of that just makes me think of the days I’ve gone to just enjoy it that way. Mr. Jones: Yeah, like it a lot, get a lot of thinking done there. Billy: My sister and I go there a lot. We love it. Mr. Jones: well it’s good for you two doing that Billy, getting out and getting that fresh airtime to time. It’s health for you just as well. Wouldn’t you agree there, Mrs. Smith? Mrs. Smith: Oh, indeed, I agree on that, 100%, so true, mean look at are up in age, but we still have our staminal. Oh, face it, just getting old is all. Billy: Stop, you guys aren’t old at all, you guys look great. I’ve seen old and you guys look nothing like it. Both Mr. Jones and Mrs. Smith chuckle and laugh, as they find what Billy said was funny, yet so cute and adorable, both commented to Billy almost the same time. Mr. Jones: That’s nice of you bud. Mrs. Smith: Oh, that’s so sweet of you, Billy. (CUT) SCENE 23

While back at the shop, Steve and Tom still sitting and playing cards. Bored out of their minds, waiting on either Lisa or Mr. Jones to return. Steve was getting pist off to the fact that Tom was winning a lot of hands in the card game. Tom: Ok, so what cha got there Steve? Drop your cards. Steve: Eh, sure I’ll win at LEAST this hand. There’s no way you’re going to have three aces, unless your hiding them. (Steve drops his cards) Steve: HA, beat that one Tom. Tom: Steve, yeah, I’m sure you have me on this one, let’s see you having a Queen, Jack, a ten, and two sevens. Hmm let’s see. (Tom then slowly drops his hand, with a smirk.) Tom: Ready, here’s my Ace, King, Ace, Queen ready for the big one now? Drum please, an ACE. Steve: The FUCK is that shit Tom! That’s it I’m fucking done playing with you, you fucking cheat on this game so much, it’s pathetic. Tom: Fine, Steve, you don’t want to play, that’s fine by me. No problem. Steve: Well how the fuck you keep winning, just about every hand? Can you explain that? Tom: It’s not a secret or not cheating, to be honest with you. Well… Steve: See what I mean, there’s the WELL out of you. So, what is it you are doing to win? Tom: Ok, so for a few years between watching and being taught to play this well, I just took my time in knowing the cards really well is all. So, look it really wasn’t a trick man. Steve gave a look at Tom, then looked back at the cards. Thought about it AGAIN. Steve: Fine, then I’ll let it slip by this time man, since you’re putting it all that way. Let me ask a dumb question if you don’t mind, which isn’t that dumb. Why didn’t you say anything in the beginning? On how to win least one hand, this way I know, so I don’t look so stupid. Tom: I don’t know, guess It slipped my mind, not thinking also that we would be here so long. So, we just started playing and I just went on with it. Sorry Steve. Steve: Yeah, tell me about it, what’s it, nearly an hour now. Ok almost there. Tom: You wouldn’t think they would stick us here and leave us? Like babysitters and shirt? What cha think? Steve: Mr. Jones, not a chance, he always keeps his word on coming back. You get a good look at him thou? Ever since the war, well when he was in, he hasn’t been the same, in general that is. You know, the way he sometimes looks at you, or snaps his neck like that. Ever see it, it’s mostly from all that. Just don’t ask questions, and don’t look at him when he does it too.

Tom: So, basically, don’t mess with the man. That’s what your trying to say? Steve: Something like that, yeah. Can still even at his age and doesn’t look it, do some damage to you. Just don’t provoke him. Tom and Steve both still playing cards and talking about Mr. Jones and about his past, now that Tom went from not knowing anything about Mr. Jones to knowing a little something more to not mess with. A little insight of the man, as well told by Steve to just respect him as much as possible. (CUT) SCENE 24 Leaving Mrs. Smith’s house, Mr. Jones starts taking his time walking back, also watching Billy go through the trail, until he was out of site completely. Mr. Jones then had the opportunity to walk back to the house of Mrs. Smith, to inform her of something of importance going on. Mrs. Smith: See your back so soon there Mr. Jones, something wrong? Seems to be, by the look on your face, you look disturbed. I haven’t seen you look that way, in a long time. Mr. Jones: It’s just, well I wanted to make sure that Billy went off safe enough and headed home for one, and the reason I came back to see you was. Well, it’s something to do with Billy, related to in a matter of speaking. Mrs. Smith: What are you talking about? What is related to Billy, that is troubling you? Mr. Jones: What I’m about to tell you, I need you to keep quiet, but I also want you to watch your back as well, Sarah’s as well. The man that murdered the Robinson’s. he is on the loose, we are going to catch him, just want you aware of it. Mrs. Smith: Oh Lord, you’re kidding me?> when did he escape? Mr. Jones: Sometime last night. Not an exact time, but he was in there earlier before that, until last night. Mrs. Smith: Wow, thank you for the information then, Mr. Jones for enlightening me on the subject. Mr. Jones: Of course, wouldn’t want to see anything happen to you or your daughter. Just the same, you have a good man as well, John, a swell man. Maybe by chance he can help. (CUT) SCENE 25 Mrs. Smith was not only pleased to see Mr. Jones, after it’s been awhile and loves to chat with him. Knowing he has some great stories and they seem to always get together the

Jones’s and the Smith’s. Mrs. Smith was also pleased to hear the latest news on what’s going on, of the escaped murderer, and feeling for the Robinson children. Mr. Jones walks off and heads back to the coffee shop, instead of making it there. He stumbles upon the park area, to where he spotted his daughter, sitting on the park bench, Mr. Jones’s wife, when giving birth, had slipped away. in a sudden passing, Mr. Jones walked over to see her and wonder why she was sitting all alone. Mr. Jones: Oh, there’s my beautiful daughter. So, what brings you out here to the park Ana? Ana: Hey dad, what are you doing here? Thought you would be at the shop? I just thought I’d take a walk to the park. A place you used to take me all the time when I was a kid. Mr. Jones: Yes, I remember, such great memories taking you down here, with a lunch and myself a cup of coffee. afterwards, we both would sit…right here actually and have lunch. Then afterwards, we would take a walk to the beach. Yes, I remember well. Ana: Wow, dad I can’t believe you remembered that much from way back. An, so what was my favorite dress I would love to wear? Mr. Jones: Ah, well that’s an easy one there my dear, you see you never forgot your mother, because I reminded you of who she was. So, I would go through pictures all the time and tell you stories all about your mom. Ana: I know, I remember dad. I wish I could have met her, at least once. Just to see her in person, it hurts dad. An, why is it, you never thought to re-marry dad? You just…had me! Mr. Jones: Ana, my dear, there is no one is this world that means more to me than you. You are my gem, my pride and joy. When you came into this world, it was a blessing to me. Now losing your mother, that hurt more than words can say. In return, having you, was a blessing from your mother. Ana: Oh, that’s so sweet dad. (sighs) You realize, you have been my rock in the hardest times, and you’ve always been there for me, through thick and thin. For that, I love you dad, with everything I have. So, dad what’s troubling you? I know when something is, I see that look in your eyes! Mr. Jones: Oh, look at us, talking about old times, good times. (both chuckling) Well, what I need to tell you, since I caught you here. Remember Joe? That ma… Ana: That bastard that took those kids parents away from them, that fucking murderer. Oh, I’m sorry dad, he just pisses me OFF. Mr. Jones: No, it’s alright, no need to apologize out of anger, besides, you’re nearly a grown woman that’s heard them words before. Ana: I know, well mostly from you.

Mr. Jones: Eh. Yeah, I should have maybe watched my tongue a bit around you. Sorry for that. Ana: It’s ok dad, I don’t go off like you did at least, it was F this and F that or Kill that son bitch. Ha…ha, no dad it’s fine. But least I have the training you taught me. Saves me a lot of headaches. Mr. Jones: Good for you, well listen, that SON BITCH got away, escaped last night somehow. So, I just want you to be aware of it. Ana: Ok dad, well you want me to walk back with you? Mr. Jones: No sweetie, I’ll be ok, going back now, I have Steve and some friend of his stopped in watching the placed until I get back or Lisa shows up as well, you be good and watch your back Ana. I know you can and will. Ana: Oh god Steve, oh that’s got to be the worst, you better get back fast then dad, Steve might just drink you out of coffee. HA…HA. Ana and Mr. Jones give one another a hug and kiss on the cheek, as Mr. Jones slips something to her for protection. Ana looks down and smirks as she puts it away, waving bye to her dad, least for now. Mr. Jones doing the same as he starts to get a move on back towards the coffee shop. He walks far off, away from the park and onward to the shop. (CUT) SCENE 26

Noticing that the silence in the streets, seemed to be too quiet. So eerie, it just didn’t seem right to be out there right now. Started walking just a bit faster, and then suddenly slowed down. Looking down on the ground, noticing something that looked as if it were Billy’s dad’s wallet. Billy carried that wallet everywhere, ever since his parent’s death. He had weird feeling about it. Thou, he just decided to pick the wallet up and bring it along with him after checking it out. Thought that the next time he sees Billy, he will return it to him, knowing it meant sentimental value to him, a reminder of his dad. Mr. Jones walks into the shop, noticing that both Steve and Tom are still in the same spots, as if he never left the shop. Mr. Jones grunts a minute as he then peaks his head over the counter and noticed that the pot of coffee was nearly empty. Neither one of them he thought to himself, could set up a fresh pot, least take it off the burner. Mr. Jones: So, anyone come while I was away? or was it just the two of you here alone the whole time? Steve: Na, just us here been dead as a doornail, not a soul has come in. well unless you want to heart about the creepy, eerie, noises we heard in this building, otherwise it’s just been the two of us here.

Tom: Yeah, pretty much. Mr. Jones: Hmm, so other than your noisy, creepy, eerie sounds and all, you two sat here playing cards in which I don’t mind, but do mind that the coffee is all gone, and you left it on the burner. There was half a pot, I understand I asked you to watch the shop, while I took Billy, but at least you could have made a fresh one. Steve and Tom both look at one another, in in-disgust since they knew they were wrong at something. Until Mr. Jones pointed it out, then they were speechless and had nothing to say otherwise. (CUT) SCENE 27 Mr. Jones goes back to make a fresh pot of coffee, shaking his head and muttering under his breathe. Just as he gets finished and hits the brew button, Lisa finally walks back in, bringing along with her was two men, John Smith, and Mike. Lisa: Ok, so I was able thank god to find Mike, but Steve was nowhere to be found. Mr. Jones motions to Lisa as he nods his head to the corner to where Steve and his buddy Tom were sitting. Lisa: Oh, hey look, I found Steve for you Mr. Jones. Ok so everyone I said I’d find is found. Plus, John Smith. Let me tell you, finding Steve for you was quick and hey, I’m quick. Mike: Yeah, Lisa I don’t think that joke went over to well. Anyways, so what’s going on here Mr. Jones? Well, that is since Lisa grabbed my, sorry our attention and brought us here! I was all set to go camping, when Lisa came and found me. So here we are, everything ok with you? Mr. Jones: Well, hello to you to Mike, an Mr. Smith, pleasure seeing you as well. Glad too, the both of you. Mr. Smith: Oh, yeah sorry about that, hi their sir, it’s just umm, well Lisa made it seem that something was wrong with you. (As Mike glances over to Lisa, Lisa just sways away to the side) However, I can see you’re ok thou. So... Mm, I smell that fresh coffee, I’d be delighted to have a cup if you wouldn’t mind letting me in on what’s going on? Mike: Yeah, I’d love a cup myself, hey and I’m buying. Lisa: Pist… Mr. Jones, when are you going to ask them or let them know why I got them? Mike: Ok, so what’s Lisa talking about here, and being so secretive here? What’s going on here Mr. Jones? Enlighten us, if you don’t mind. Mr. Smith: I really don’t give a hoot, what it is. I just would love some of that fresh coffee you have going on their sir. Whatever it might be thou, I’m in. Oh, Mike pass me the sugar, thanks brother.

Steve: (Under his breathe, rolling his eyes in disgust of Mr. Smith’s fresh coffee) Yeah, I see, you get yourself a nice hot fresh cup of coffee huh. We’ll be the last you get their smartass. Mr. Jones pours out three fresh cups of coffee, himself, Mike, and Mr. Smith as he grabs the milk and creamer for everyone at the counter. Lisa: HEY, where’s mine? Don’t I get one, I’m perched, after all. I went looking for Mike and Steve. Mr. Jones rolls his eyes and shakes his head as he turns to grab another cup and pour one for Lisa, noticing that now that pot is nearly empty. Just not quite. Hands it off to Lisa as she smirks and gives a wink. Lisa: Thank you so kindly my good sir, ok, umm proceed Mr. Jones. Mr. Jones: Ok, so is everyone good on coffee now, can I start? Something I need to get out now. Tom: I’m good, carry on. Steve kicks him from under the table as to Tom looks back to wonder why he did that. Tom just gave Steve a look and then continued to listen. Steve: Sure Mr. Jones, I’ll top myself off, Tom may not want anymore, however I’ll take a little, thanks. Mr. Jones: Alright, there you go, now sit down so I can get to what I need to talk about, time is wasting away. Steve walks back as Tom still gives him a dirty look from kicking him, as a look to say there was no reason to do that. Tom just let it go in courteous of Mr. Jones. Mr. Jones: everyone good? Everyone: YES. John Smith: Hmm, I sure do love a good cup of coffee. Steve: Yeah ok hush up now John, let’s hear what Mr. Jones needs to say, that’s so important. Mr. Jones: Ok, listen up everyone. You all remember the Robinson’s well, right? John Smith: Of course, great, great folks, sure as hell didn’t have to go out that way from that bastard. My wife and I miss them dearly, they were great people. Why, what happened now? Mike: Well, Billy was just here, Mr. Jones walked him on his way back home. Left Tom and I here to watch the shop until either Mr. Jones or Lisa got back. Well, now it all makes me wonder, since we are still all here.

Mr. Jones: Yes, I walked him halfway home to the trail, making sure he got that far. I know he will make it the rest of the way, he knows those woods well, that trail. Billy and Jake, well, their parent’s killer escaped last night and have nowhere abouts yet. Now we need to find him, before he does any damage to anyone. Tom: So, what your asking is, for us to go on a search, a hunt for some guy, a mission of what you want us to do. Are you kidding, man, this isn’t or was never my plan? Steve: Hey, Tom why not shut that hole of yours a minute. You have no idea what you’re talking about, these were good people. What if this happened in your town? You telling me you would rather run away then help? Tom: Eh, I don’t know man, look it would all depend man. Ok, that make you happy. Steve walks over and gets in Tom’s face as the other four just stand there in shock watching what’s going on and hearing the disturbing sounds from Tom’s mouth. As Steve got eye to eye, and with a nasty look, as if looks can kill, Tom would be dead right then and there. (CUT) SCENE 28 Steve: Tell you what Tom, you don’t plan on coming and helping us out. Then get your LAZY FUCKING ASS out of here, already proved to us, you wouldn’t help your own town, what makes us think you would help us? So why not get back in your piece of shit car and get the fuck out of dodge. Tom: Fine ASSHOLE. Goodbye then and good luck to you all. Tom stood up and gave a nasty look, as he finished his coffee and walked out. Giving no respect to either Steve, not the rest of the people in the coffee shop. Then shuffled out the door and down the road to his car. As everyone had nothing but shame for this man, some wanted to beat his head in, even Lisa. In which would never want to fight, always the peacekeeper, not the fighter. Mr. Jones: Steve, look calm down, it’s worthless in even getting someone that’s such a coward involved in our problems as well situations. Just let the jackass go, don’t need a has been. Steve: So now what, well now that Tom is gone as well? Well, now it’s just the five of us, what now? Any plans intended? Mike: Yeah? (As he takes a sip of his coffee) Well I’m game for anything now, so Mr. Jones, what’s the plan? You have something in mind? Mr. Jones: Yes, I… Lisa cuts him off in a thought of something in her head that pops up.

Lisa: I was thinking we all can split up and search for him in different directions. It’s possible one of us will sure find him one way or another. Mr. Smith: Stop, that’s silly talk there, you never split up, thou it sounds good, but doing that would get you killed. That just reminds me of the game, “Manhunt”. I’ll tell you, those days, miss them, but no that’s a bad idea Lisa. Good thought, bad idea. Mr. Jones: Ok, can we knock off the jokes now, this is serious, we need to catch this guy and so if you all don’t mind, let me explain in how we are going to do this. Everyone quiets down and is just about to hear what Mr. Jones has to offer in a way in catching Joe. Then, out of nowhere, from the dead of silence, they all heard footsteps. Quickly they turned towards the door in which the noise was coming from, as their hearts raced and clinched the chairs and countertop. The door opened up, slowly as the person followed through, they finally all let out a gasp of air, feeling a little better and not so much terrified anymore. It just so happened to be the Mayor walking back into the coffee shop to pay another visit. (CUT) SCENE 29 Mr. Jones: Well, here we go again, can everyone just please be quiet and let me do the talking. Mr. Jones: Hi their Mayor Barnett, see that your back again. So, what brings you back anyway? Mayor Barnett: I just stopped back, hoping you had some answers for me. As to what’s going on now and who’s doing what? Of course, you know about the murderer, Joe. Mr. Jones: So, what your telling me is, you don’t have reinforcements, and now you’re coming back to see if I can help, after your sheriff left town for good? Seriously, and so now you’ve come to me for help? The Mayor lowers her head in disgust, and dishonor, knowing now she was wrong to be so cocky and pushy to Mr. Jones and the others around town. Then raises her head with shame and looks around to the people in the coffee shop, noticing that they are just the same as she is. That she is no different from them. Mayor Barnett: No, I don’t and I’m just pleading for help from you, if you would be so kind. to help me get this man off the streets. Steve: Hell lady, shit, I’d go and find the bastard myself and either turn him back in if no struggle or kill him. Mr. Smith: I second that, thou I’m not really one for killing a person, a deer maybe. But not a person. Mayor Barnett: Great then, it’s settled or so it seems. I’ll pay one thousand a man to whom brings him in. dead or alive.

Mr. Jones: Hold on now, now Joe was once a nice man, at one time of course. Yes. I understand and don’t ever let it slip my mind when I see those Robinson children come around. However, you need to look in the mirror first before you make that decision of killing a man. Steve: What’s your problem? Mr. Jones, you going soft or something? You were just going to come up with some plan, but I’m for this. (CUT) SCENE 30 Mayor Barnett: Mr. Jones, look, I don’t give a rat’s ass in how he comes back, dead or alive. You on the other hand, I understand where you come from, with your morals. However, if I decide to want to pay a thousand for his return in any case. Then so be it. Say there Mr. Jones, don’t you have yourself a daughter of your own? Wouldn’t you want her in safely as well? I will answer that for you, yes is the answer. Assuming you wouldn’t want anything happening to her as well. Too much time here, wasted at the coffee shop. It’s time to stop talking and more action. Just then, as everyone listened to the conversation between Mr. Jones and the Mayor, thou more of the Mayor, they all started getting things packed up and ready to head out and about on a search for Joe, and bring him in. either way as the Mayor had wanted, DEAD or ALIVE.

Mr. Jones was beside himself, because he wasn’t able to give his ideas to the others in which ways to find Joe and bring him in, quietly and carefully. Now he knows there will be chaos in the making of finding Joe. Possibly a bad vibe he had. Mike: Steve, you coming along with me? You know together, I’m sure we can do this and sticking together. We should be good. Safer that way too. You ready? Steve: Yeah, sounds good, and what? Go bare handed, wait hold on a second. Steve walks over to the corner of the shop, he pulls out a bottle and takes a drink from it, then pockets it away, after pouring some into a flask. Mike still getting things done over on the side to get ready to go off with Steve and out to hunt for Joe and bring him in, then glances over to Steve, noticed something weird he was doing, as well, knowing Steve well enough. Started getting pist off at the fact he now knew that he was getting some alcohol to chug down or bring with him. Then he thought maybe both, in which pist him off even more. Mike: Steve, come, let’s get going now, and put that shit away. you don’t even need any of that, this is a hunt, you’ll get killed if your all fucked up, so put that away man. Let’s just catch this bastard and then, I don’t care how much you drink after that. Drink yourself to death for all I care.

Steve standing in the corner, as he looks towards Mike with a somewhat nasty look, grunting and grumbling nodding his head around. Getting things together at the same time. Starts getting a move on. Steve: yeah (Mother Fucker, under his breathe) I’m coming Mike, fine, whatever. Look Mike, you don’t have to be a piss bag about it, damn you. Steve walks away and heads out the door as Mike stands there speechless for a moment, then starts heading his way out himself. Mr. Jones standing there in disbelief, behind the counter, disappointed and upset at the fact no one listened to a word he said. Or wanted to even hear what he had to say about the whole thing at all. Lisa, after stepping out from the bathroom, approached Mr. Jones and noticed that he was somewhat upset or disappointed. Lisa walked over to ask him how he was and what was next of plan? Lisa: Mr. Jones, so what’s bothering you? Why so down looking? Mr. Jones: It’s nothing, just that everyone decided to want to open their yaps, after I asked them when the Mayor walked in, let me do the talking. Well you see how that worked out. Didn’t listen to anything I had to say, before the money came into play. Now everyone’s out for blood money. Lisa: Sorry to hear that Mr. Jones, if it means anything, I’m not going. In fact, I’ll stick around with you and help you out Mr. Jones. How about we go together and try finding him ourselves. I’m sure you have a better way anyway, then them all running around like nut nobs. Mr. Jones: Oh, that’s so kind of your thoughts, just wouldn’t want you getting hurt, you know. That would be a burden on me. Lisa: No, not at all. (As Lisa goes and grabs a butcher knife for protection) Ah, see long as I have this and with you, I’ll be just fine Mr. Jones, nothing’s going to happen to me. Mr. Jones: Uh-Huh, so I see, well if you say so then. You know Lisa, I still wouldn’t let a damn thing happen to you, same as my daughter Ana. That’s a PROMISE. Lisa: I know, as your daughter Ana as well. Ana, she safe? Mr. Jones: Yes, she’s well safe and nothing will harm her, not after what she’s learned from her old man. Lisa: This is true, and that would be you, well I want to thank you, for being here with me then, so you ready? Mr. Jones: yeah, getting there. (CUT)

SCENE 31 Mr. Smith wiping some things up and taking a few sips of his coffee, as the Mayor is chatting away. he then starts to get annoyed, then started from where he was around on a stool behind the counter side and walked towards the Mayor to have a chat. Mr. Smith: So, tell me something? Do you find any of this to be a joke or funny to you? Do you have any kids Mayor? How about a husband, or someone to love? Do you even have a conscience, or care for other people then yourself? Mayor Barnett: I beg your pardon? Should watch your tongue there Mr. Smith, if you know what’s good for you. Mr. Smith: you heard me, every GOD damn word I said too. You must find this a thrill to see others that have no idea what it’s like going after someone they know nothing about. What he is capable of. If your so brave enough and have the power to pay out. Then why not do it yourself. Go get him, this Joe. Mayor Barnett: I have NEVER in my life had such disrespect. This is such an outrage, who the HELL do you think you are Mr. hmm…what’s it, umm. Mr. Smith: MR. SMITH and now you’ll never forget it, want me to write it down, so you don’t? very well known, more then you of course. You only PAYED your way into this little spot of PLAYING Mayor, otherwise, I would have been chosen. People in this town look down on you. Mayor Barnett: OH, that’s enough of this nonsense, enough of listening to YOU MR. SMITH. I’m through with you on this conversation, need I say no more. Good day. Mr. Smith: Likewise, Mayor I do hope you either find yourself some loving, or least get out there and get some hunting on this guy Joe. Honestly, I think you could use a bit of exercise. As the Mayor stood up along with an attitude, she started walking out the door, slamming it on the way. Mr. Smith chuckled as Mr. Jones looked back towards the door to see what all the ruckus was about. Turning back again towards Mr. Smith and looks at him, then walks over to see what that slamming of the door was all about. Then turns and decides to just finish up and get out of the shop. (CUT) SCENE 32 Steve and Mike walk over to see John and to see what’s going on now. So, all three men now are chatting over the situation. Mr. Smith: So, couldn’t resist seeing the two of you going alone. Say, what about a third wheel? I’ll come along with you guys. Keep things in check, so this way we all stay together, and no one gets hurt.

Steve: Well, just do me a favor then, just don’t be no smartass about anything. I know you can, ok? Mr. Smith: Sure, you got it, not a problem. Look, I’m just as pist as anyone else here that this happened. It’s all bullshit if you ask me, besides, being together I can see us having a better chance. Steve: Yeah, well let me get some of this shit together, still slacking here, you know. Also, let me let Mike know about the new plan as well. Mr. Smith: Sure Steve, you got it, not a problem. Steve, Mike and John were all getting things ready and set to go. Had all types of weapons of all kinds and stashed away, now it was just about to get going. Steve was still trying to gather up as much booze as he could as well hide it well. Mostly from Steve, then John before the hunt. All three men left the shop and headed out, towards Steve’s car. John took off to his house as he told both boys to park the car near his house. This way they would be able to start off from John’s house and merge out to find Joe. Mr. Jones and Lisa were the last in the shop, while Lisa was sitting at the stool, swinging the knife back and forth bored as hell waiting. All the lights were getting shut down and locked up. This way coming back later would nice and clean to come into a shop clean and tidy. Mr. Jones is and always was a clean freak since the military. Lisa: So, Mr. Jones, we just about ready to get going now? Not that I want to go out there. Thou I don’t feel like sitting around either. It’s kind of a catch 22, you know. Mr. Jones: Yeah, I hear you, ready bout now, just always like to make sure things are always taken care of, you know Lisa. Want something to eat or drink for the way out? Lisa: Sure, why not, you buying? Ha…ha, well I don’t have any money right now thou. Mr. Jones: Stop, Lisa it’s on me, on the house, you know that. These three men left in a hurry, I just want to try and make sure if we can either catch up to them, or catch up to Joe and bring him in. I have a bad feeling. Grab what you like. Lisa: Thanks Mr. Jones. Mr. Jones waits at the front door for Lisa, as Lisa is grabbing a couple drinks and a couple snacks to take along for the trip of the hunt for Joe. Finally, Lisa is all set and ready as they walk out and Mr. Jones locks up the front door, there set to go. Now there’s no stopping anyone from any direction of finding Joe. (CUT) SCENE 33 Billy was traveling through the trail quickly, but quietly as can be. As he came across some objects that seemed to distract him, which put him on a slight delay in getting back

sooner. Suddenly, he heard a noise that got him jumpy and into a bush as quickly as he can. Scared and terrified, as he sat there quiet now hearing different voices around him. Steve: Where are you going? Mike, stick together man. Mike: What? I’m going to take a piss man, that ok with you, damn. John: Come on guys, quiet down, what the hell is wrong with you two? Joe can be anywhere around and you two are talking it up, like it’s some rally out here. Steve: Ah, feel better now, hey what’s that noise? Hey guys. (In a whisper as he calls to them) John: What is it Steve? What, did you find something? Steve: No man, I heard something man. Mike: Ha, Yeah, that fucking booze in your head again. Saying, hey Steve pick me up and suck me some more, ha…ha. John: Can you two knock your shit off already. Seriously, it’s getting out of hand, and if this guy is out here, we are fucked. So, if someone is there, means that no one came in the way we went, then there already here hiding. Let’s have a look see. Mike: Those poor kids, got to be suffering from that bastard that killed their parents. I know I would, that’s for sure. John: This seems to be the best trail so far, the only trial everyone uses most the time anyways. Let’s follow it, see where it leads us. Didn’t Mr. Jones or someone say he was wounded? Mike and Steve look at one another, then look towards John. As they nod their heads with a grunt. Mike: Steve, pass one of those smokes you have in your pouch, would you. Steve: Yeah, sure Mike, here you go. John is hunting around for the noise he heard and still searching, Steve wasn’t standing far from John, while John kept on checking things out in the area. Mike started wondering off to another area all together, Steve caught a glimpse of Mike walking off as he was watching John’s back at the same time. Steve: Mike, hey where you headed off to man? Silence from Mike, nothing as he continued to walk off and nearly out of site. John: Steve, quiet down man, come on now. Why do you have to always be so loud? Now it’s just you and I out here, looking for this guy Joe, and you’re out here like it’s a party, quiet down.

Billy is feeling some fear in the bushes while he is hoping and praying these guys would just leave already. All Billy cares about now, is his sister and to get home to her as soon as possible. Steve: Yeah, sorry man. I was only trying to get Mike’s attention and then… John: Well, forget about Mike. Fuck him, he wants to go, then let him go off on his own. Right now, I want to find this Joe and also make sure these kids are safe. Steve and John moved on in search of Joe, as they continued on, John was concentrated in finding either both the kids and or Joe. Meanwhile, Steve was following behind John some good feet, and taking some swings of his drinks, while also looking around for Mike at the same time through the forest of the trials. Steve: John, why didn’t we bring a car or something? That could have made this a little easier, wouldn’t you think? “John smirks as he shacks his head” John: You don’t get it, do you. If we take a car, chances are less to catch him of the noise of the engine. Walking is much quiet, and more of a chance to catch him. Steve: Eh, I just figured if we did catch him, it would be easier to bring him in, makes since. John: True, it does. However, in doing so it’s as I said, noisy and more distracting to him getting away. get it? Steve: Yeah, ok then, didn’t think of it that way. How stupid of me, your right about that. John: Steve, you’re not stupid, it was a good call and good thought. Just not in this case scenario. The two continued walking away, as Billy waited until it was completely clear. Billy just kept thinking about his sister at home and hoping she was ok. (CUT) SCENE 34 Sarah made it home from her uncle’s house. She was so happy she went over, but also finally happy to be home as well. Mrs. Smith, after Sarah walked in greeted her daughter’s welcome home. Mrs. Smith also with fear in her eyes, beyond the love and joy of Sarah’s return home. Mrs. Smith: Hey sweetie, so did you have a lot of fun there at uncle’s? Sarah: Yeah, I had a lot of fun until Joey showed up, then I just wanted to come home, so annoying.

Mrs. Smith: Well, you know how Joey gets. He always gets to be a pain in the butt sometimes. He is the only child there, that could be another reason. Well this might put a smile on your face. Sarah: Huh, what’s that mom? Mrs. Smith: Mr. Jones walked… Sarah: Mr. Jones? How is he? I miss him. Mrs. Smith: Oh, Mr. Jones is just doing fine. We were chatting sometime earlier. However, who was with him, hmm, would you like to know? Sarah: Ana? Mrs. Smith: No, but a good guess, you would think so. Billy, and he stopped by looking for you to wish you a happy birthday, but he had to run along home to his sister at home. Think his sister was sick or something. Sarah: Oh, well I’m going to check on Jane and see Billy. Mrs. Smith: Oh, no Sarah, you just got home for one and I think you should stay here, besides, I haven’t seen you all day sweetie.

Mrs. Smith looks out the window and spots three ladies walking down the road with a little boy. Quickly she comes up with an idea for Sarah to change her mind about going to see Billy and Jane, to stay home and play with Evan instead.

Mrs. Smith: Hey, look at that, coming down the street there towards the house now. Looks to me like Linda, Cindy, and Laura, along with Evan. Sarah: Cool, haven’t seen Evan either in a while, love to show him some new games and tricks that crazy little boy, love that kid. (CUT) SCENE 35 Mrs. Smith invited the ladies in her house once they got a bit closer, she waited outside while they were walking nearby. Mrs. Smith invited them in for some fresh coffee and cake she had in the house that was for Sarah’s birthday for later and thought to have some cakes and cookies she had aside for snakes. While the kids played nicely in the living room, the ladies were chatting between the kitchen and dining room. Meanwhile, Linda truly didn’t know what was really happening while she was left in the dark for the moment.

Mrs. Smith: Hello their ladies, welcome in. So how you all doing? Laura: Well, Cindy and I were just spending some the day together just near the coffee shop. As we were walking, we noticed Linda and, so we all grouped up together. Mrs. Smith: Oh, well how lovely and now look at us, all the ladies together for a chat and coffee, on Sarah’s birthday, nonetheless. Thou, still a great thing that we all caught up. Linda: well, I really should be getting home. Ken will be home from work soon, and I have to get dinner ready. Plus, not to mention, the kids are probably up to no good at this point ha…ha, Cindy: Oh, Linda come on now, we don’t get to see you to often. Come on and stick around with us a while, have a cup of coffee at least. Linda: Well, ok then just one thou, but I really do need to be get going home thou. Cindy: Oh, yes, I know what you mean and thank you for sticking around with us, love your company just as well. You know, you always seem to be worried, why is that? Linda: Well, you know I have to help provide fir the housing just as well as Ken. Cindy: Yes, of course, I understand that completely girl. I would gladly come over and visit often but seems that Ken is always in a grumpy mood or so it seems. Linda: Yeah, that’s Ken for you sometimes, it’s just ever since we took in the children, not that we wanted our own. However, Ken just wasn’t prepared for this whole adopting thing. I myself will love any child no matter who’s child. Thou, he is getting around to it. Laura: So, Jessica you heard the mess yet? Mrs. Smith: You talking about Joe? Yes, Mr. Jones stopped by a little earlier and mentioned something about it. Laura: Really, so what did he have to say about it? Anything good to know? Or to worry about? Mrs. Smith: Just to stay indoors, also to keep an eye on Sarah. Just make sure things are safe is all, you know. Wait, where are the kids, my god they still in the living room? Laura: Jessica, relax there right in, oh wait, (Looking around) oh look, there in the back yard playing nice, playing ball. Mrs. Smith: Children, Sarah come inside, on, you can roll the ball on the floor in the living room, I would like for you two to come in now. Sarah: but mom I want… Mrs. Smith: No, no buts, just please come inside and play Sarah, both of you. Cindy: What’s going on Laura, Jessica, why you getting upset? There in the back yard.

Linda: Ok, is there something you ladies aren’t telling me I should know? Something’s going on. (CUT) SCENE 36

Finally, Billy stood up checking himself for ticks and any kinds of bugs of any kind, since these woods and this trail had plenty in it, as it was infested as well. Billy started walking after checking himself towards the house, the same direction as the open fields. In where Jane and Billy would go and play in from time to time. So, Billy started heading toward where his sister would be, which was the fields in where he left from the morning time and off to town.

Billy got to the fields and started to freak out, noticing trails of blood stains and spots of blood here and there. In spots here and there, he came across a big puddle of blood that was drying up but still a bit wet thou, not too old. Was a bit confused. Again, he heard the voices, the same voices in which he hid in the bushes from earlier, now he went and found a pipe, from which he had once stashed a while ago, grabbed it and hid well, while they were walking around a distance from Billy.

John: Ok, Steve listen up, be quiet as possible. This Joe can be anywhere around here. Could even be in that house over there which isn’t too far. Steve: Yeah, whatever man. Look, just because your so high in demand and well known, more then others in town other then Mr. Jones who I give more respect to, don’t give you the right to order me around. You don’t have to be out here telling me what to do, got it. John: What’s your beef with me? You have something personal with me, then let’s take care of it. As Steve starts to get hot headed. Stagers and looking at John with an attitude. John: Look at you, can’t even stand, nonetheless focus on me. Why the hell did you come out here anyways? Steve: I didn’t do it for your ASS, I came out for the sake of Mike, a good friend. He asked me to come along and so I did. John: you even see Mike now? No, because he went off on some lost mission of his own. To god knows where. Doing stupid shit all the time.

Steve: Why don’t you shut your fucking mouth, you don’t know shit about me or even Mike for that matter. You only look at yourself and worry about your pride and joy, as well your fucking glory in life and what you get out of it.

John started getting fed up with the bullshit of Steve’s and started looking around for any clues to the whereabouts of Joe. Quickly he walked off looking around the whole area, meantime Steve took another sip of his whisky then put it away. as he pulled out a knife, laid down his gun and approached John quickly. Then drove the knife through his kidney in a backstabbing. Steve made sure John dropped quickly and didn’t get up before walking off through the fields and out of site. (CUT) SCENE 37

Billy saw everything that happened, just after the man had left and out of sight, he dropped the pipe. He ran over to look at the man on the ground quickly, about TEN minutes and ran back to the pipe. Billy started creeping back to the house.

Billy: Well, god I hope Jane is ok. Wonder where she is, haven’t seen her yet. Billy went into the house, starting walking around and in search of Jane, looking around slowly.

Billy then after checking downstairs, then went upstairs to check in the bedrooms, he finally went to his and shut his door. he was still terrified of what he saw and just sat near a window scared.

Ken started to head home from a long day at work, feeling a little dirtier than usual, thou seemed to be in more of a better mood then other days. Ken started getting closer to home, as he came near the fields, as he stopped and noticed a body lying there bloody. Ken dropped his lunch box and thermos after seeing the body and recognizing who it was. He then ran back to the house.

Ken: What the hell happened? Who did this to John? Oh my god. The KIDS.

Ken ran inside searching and finding nothing at all calling for them both, finally Billy came out and down from his room in relief it was Ken’s voice he heard.

Ken: Billy, what happened? Did you see anything? Where’s your sister? Is Linda ok or here anywhere? Billy: I don’t know, I’ve been out and just got here myself and when I got here, I’ve been hiding in my room. I locked my door too. Ken: Ok Billy, good boy, you go and do just that, stay there and lock your door, don’t come out until I come get you, or you see me or someone you know well or Linda as well. Billy: Ok, yes sir, got it, ahh…

Ken walked the entire house and found nothing. Not thinking at all to look on the basement. An then it came to him, he then went down there for a brief moment ands checked quickly. Seen nothing and then right back up and started searching the entire fields and property for Linda and Jane if they were anywhere around. (CUT) SCENE 38

Mr. Jones and Lisa started walking towards the park together, as they were. They started a conversion while making there way there.

Lisa: So, do you really think we will find Joe? Before these guys go off killing themselves, or hurt one another? Would be a shame seeing that happen Mr. Jones. Mr. Jones: Well, they are a bunch of money hungry fools, and I sure hope they don’t over the money. That alone will kill a man. Just greed alone kills you. I personally just want him off the streets and back behind bars in any case at all. Lisa: Yeah, I agree with you on that. This guy really does need to just be behind bars again, bars that will never free his ass. Thou, I guess he is pretty good at breaking out of places as we see huh? Mr. Jones: Well, not for to long, that is until I catch up to him of course. An, trust me, when I say I’m going to get him in one way or another, I mean just that. Lisa: uh-huh, gotcha and so why are we headed this way? Towards the park then? What, we going to swing into action on our way there or something? Good way in finding him? Ha…ha. Mr. Jones: Nah, no, no, my daughter Ana is or least was over here some time ago. Want to see if she’s still here or went home. Besides, if she is here, was thinking to bring her along with us, she can also be a great asset for us.

Lisa: Oh, ok then I gotcha. She still comes here to the park then? After all these years, all those memories you two had. Wow. Mr. Jones: Yeah, great memories, and will never forget them either. Lisa: I sure of it, you two are great together, she’s your rock. You two are a duo, she’s your darling love that Ana. She loves you more then ever. I see it all the time in your eye, when you pull her picture out. How much you care and adore her, she does too you know. She tells me how she would do anything for you, her dad. Lisa and Mr. Jones made it to the park, Ana was nowhere in sight. Mr. Jones looked around and thought, well maybe she went back to the house or even his house. While there, they ran into the sheriff, sheriff Parker, who had come back to town. (CUT) SCENE 39 Mr. Jones: Parker, so I see your back. Parker: Yeah, just that Mayor you know. She’s just so pushy, I’ll tell you, if someone else ran for Mayor other then her. I just wouldn’t have much of a problem. Mr. Jones: Yes, know what you mean about that. Tell you, if I could change things myself, I sure would. Make it a little better. Parker: Well, you realize the voting is coming up for Mayor, right? Why don’t you run? I’ll vouch for you, and sure Lisa would too. Hell, I know your daughter and damn well most the whole town will too. Mr. Jones: Eh, how about this, let me first go find my daughter and see where she is, then go take care of something. Look, I’ll definitely think about it and will let you know for sure. Parker: Hell, you do, I’ll promise you that I’ll stay in town for good too. Oh, before you do go anywhere, here take this radio. Just in case you need me for anything. Mr. Jones: Ok, ok then Parker let me get going, I want to check on Ana, ok Lisa ready? Lisa: Yeah, ok see you around sheriff Mr. Jones and Lisa part away from sheriff Parker when Mr. Jones takes the radio and off the two go from the park. (CUT) SCENE 40 Sarah and Evan snuck out the door to play again while no one was watching, Sarah overheard Mr. Jones’s voice in a distance not too far off, coming closer to the house. Sarah started getting excited and brought Evan back into the house to let her mother know that Mr. Jones was nearby.

Sarah: Mom, mom Mr. Jones is on his way here. I heard him down the road. Mrs. Smith: Oh, that’s great news then, how lovely. Just then, Mrs. Smith announced that Mr. Jones was headed down the road and they all seemed happy to hear that. They all got up and wanted to see him and as well greet him in.

Mr. Jones: Oh, hi their ladies, and little lady. Oh, now I can’t forget the little man here. Ha…ha. ALL THE LADIES (HEY THERE) Lisa: Hi guys, hey Jessica would you mind if I used your bathroom? Hey there pumpkin. Mrs. Smith: Yeah, sure not a problem, come in, you know where it is right?

Laura and Cindy walk over to Mr. Jones to find out what’s going on in a quiet fashionable way. While now, Linda is starting to get a vibe and a little bit nervous on what’s being said as she tries to hear in on the conversation. Linda now feels left in the dark of some secret that’s not being told to her. Laura: So, Mr. Jones. Any word about Joe as of yet? Cindy: Yes, well us ladies were trying to figure out things as well keep information from Linda for now. Just don’t want to see her all upset and all. Mr. Jones: No, don’t want that, and I understand, I’m working on it. Linda: Wait, ladies, Mr. Jones what seems to be going on around here? Please do enlighten me on the subject at hand.

Mr. Jones keeps a straight face along with a calm tone with all the ladies tries and explains that not to be worried and that being together here is the best thing right now.

Cindy: No, it’s noth…
