Actuaries Provide Capitol Hill Briefing to Explore Health Care Reform Components What:
The American Academy of Actuaries will host a Capitol Hill briefing on actuarial considerations related to health care reform provisions. The actuaries will discuss the health care reform issues that are most important when evaluating a proposal’s prospects for leading to viable and sustainable health insurance reform. Among other issues the actuaries will address: adverse selection considerations, a public plan option, the importance of risk pooling, and actuarial equivalence.
