WiththeappointmentofthenewCEO,therehasbeenaslightchangeinthestructureof theACAStaffandcommunicationchannelsattheACA.
RobMurrayisnowtheAdministrativeOfficerfortheACAandisthefirstpointof contactfortheACAforanygeneralenquiriesrelatedtoadministration,finance,events andoperationsfromStateAssociations,Clubs,AppointedOfficersandSub-Committees asrequired.
MelWoosnamistheCEOandprovidesdirectsupporttotheBoardandistheconduit betweentheACABoard,Staff,StateAssociationsandkeystakeholdersinrelationto strategicandoperationalmatters.TheCEOoverseesallACAStaffandmanagement responsibilitiesonbehalfoftheACAaswellastheimplementationoftheorganisations strategicandoperationalplansinlinewiththeapprovedbudget.
GregBuryistheGeneralManageroftheAcademyandistheprimarycontactforcoach andplayerdevelopment,assistsStateswithClubdevelopmentandsupport, participationprograms,accreditationandtraining,memberserviceandsupport,social mediaandgeneralmarketingandcommunicationssupport.
JimClementistheACASecretaryoftheBoardandisalsotheACAIntegrityOfficer.Jim isthechiefgovernanceofficeroftheACAandinpartnershipwiththeChairperson,is responsibleforensuringtheACAisruninaccordancewithitsconstitution,rules,bylaws,policiesandprocedures.

ACAAGM&StrategicForum
The2023ACAAGMisscheduledforMonday20thMarchattheVictorianCroquet CentreinCairnleacommencingat9.30am.TheACABoard,Staff,StateDelegatesand AppointedOfficersareinvitedtoattendthismeeting.TheAGMwillbefollowedbya StrategicForumtodiscussnationwideissues,informtheBoardofsignificantmember issuesandassisttheBoardtoreviewanddesigntheorganisation’sstrategicdirection.
Thepurposeofthisforumwillbetoconsideranddiscussanationalstrategicframework forcroquetandmalletsportsinAustraliathroughconsultation,collaborationand engagementwithStateAssociations,ClubsandMembers.Furtherinformationregarding thestrategicforumandtheprocessforseekingfeedbackwillbeprovidedinthecoming weeks.
ACAMarketingandITProjectupdate
TheACAhavecompletedadditionalduediligenceforthemarketingprojectbyrequesting twoadditionalquotestoensureACAareachievingvalueformoneyaswellasengagingthe expertiserequiredtodeliverthisveryexcitingandimportantprojectforthesport.
ACAhavenowshortlistedtwopreferredcompaniesthatwillprovidethevalue,experience, approachandcapabilityrequiredtodelivertheprojectscopeandoutcomes.AnACABoard memberhasbeeninvitedtoassistinconductingfinalinterviewswithbothcompaniesto selectthecompanythattheACAfeelwillsuccessfullydeliverthisproject.
TheNationalmemberdatabaseprojecthasbeenapriorityprojectfortheACAforthepast 12-18months.Again,additionalduediligencehasbeencompletedbyliaisingwithother providersandsportstoensurethatACAisaligningwithaproviderandplatformthatwill provideafitforpurposedatabasesolutionthatisscalableandcandeliverthe requirementsfortheACA,StateAssociations,ClubsandMembers.TheACAhavenow appointedanITAdvisortoassistinidentifyingthebestproviderthatcansatisfytheACA requirementsofthisproject.FurtherinformationwillbeprovidedtoStateAssociations.
SportIntegrityAustralia
SportIntegrityAustralia(SIA)wasestablishedbytheFederalGovernmentin2020asthe singleagencyfordealingwithexistingandemergingintegrityrelatedissuesinsport,to protectAustralianSport,mitigateintegritythreatsandprovideasafe,fair,andtrustworthy environmentforallParticipantsatalllevelsofsportacrossAustralia.ACAadoptedthe NationalIntegrityFramework(NIF)inJune2022whichisasetofrulesandpoliciesthatall membersofasportneedtofollowwhenitcomestotheirbehaviourandconductinsport.
InJanuary2023,theACAmetwiththeHeadsofStateandtherewasaviewthattheonboardingandeducationprocesssurroundingACA’sadoptionoftheNIFmaynothavebeen ascomprehensiveasitneededtobe,andthatfurthertrainingwasrequired.ACAhave beenincontactwithSIA,andtheyarecurrentlyperformingareviewoftheNIFinorderto strengthenthesystem.ACAhavemadearequesttoSIAthatoncethereviewhasbeen completed,theACAwouldliketoengageSIAtodeliverabroadereducationprogramin conjunctionwithourStateAssociations.Furtherinformationwillbeprovidedinduecourse.
