COVID-19 VACCINES With vaccinations for COVID-19 becoming more plentiful, many Adams Publishing Group Associates have either already received their shots or are considering doing so. We aim to provide and maintain a workplace free of known hazards, thus leading APG to adopt a voluntary policy regarding the vaccination to safeguard our Associates’ health and their families, our customers and visitors, and the community at large from COVID-19. This policy complies with all applicable laws and is based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health authorities, as appropriate. All Associates are encouraged to receive Covid 19 vaccinations as determined by the Centers for Disease Control and World Health Organization. APG will not pay for vaccinations covered by this policy, and where applicable, vaccinations should be submitted to health insurance providers. Please note that all Associates will be paid for the time taken to receive vaccinations (one day per vaccination for a maximum total of two days). If you have not received your vaccine and plan to do so, please work with your manager to schedule an appropriate time to comply with the vaccine PTO policy. Associates must provide proof of vaccination to receive the paid time off. If you have already received your vaccination and used PTO to do so, please let your Human Resources representative know so that the time can be added back to your PTO bank.

SAFETY

WEATHER IMPACTS ON DRIVING SAFETY While winter is giving way to spring for many of us the threat of incidents on the roadway due to inclement weather will rise drastically. Be safe and give yourself extra time for your commute, extra distance from vehicles in front of you, extra attention to your surroundings, keep those phones out of your hands and your hands on the wheel.

Weatherrelated crashes are defined as those crashes that occur in adverse weather (i.e., rain, sleet, snow, fog, severe crosswinds, or blowing snow/sand/debris) or on slick pavement (i.e., wet pavement, snowy/slushy pavement, or icy pavement). On average, nearly 5,000 people are killed and over 418,000 people are injured in weather-related crashes each year.
