NEW YEAR’S DAY

Monday, January 2, 2023 Robin Quillon has announced his retirement effective August 31, 2022. Robin joined Adams Publishing Group in August 2018 as Regional President in East North Carolina (ENC). TO OUR AUGUST WINNER NAME,

PENNY WEBB, NEWPORT PLAIN TALK The Question Was: In what year were the first Air Jordan sneakers released? The Answer Was: 1984

“This change allowed us to review our organizational structure and we have decided to consolidate Ohio and ENC under one region led by Mark Cohen. Mark and his team have grown the Ohio operation significantly, achieving the strongest bottom line in APG in 2022,” said Nick Monico, APG Chief Operating Officer. Mark will relocate to Greenville, North Carolina, in September. He brings more than 30 years of management experience and has worked for other newspaper companies, and a major press association, and has been instrumental in helping others grow in the industry. Mark has revamped sales departments, improved efficiencies, and has spoken at a number of media conventions over his career. “I’m excited about this opportunity and look forward to blending into the community, visiting customers and supporting our employees. I can’t wait to explore the area. I already have my ECU Pirate gear.” said Cohen. The Defiance, Ohio teams will continue to report directly to Cohen.

APG Summer Schedule- Extension Effective 9-1-22 Half-Day Program Adams Publishing Group is pleased to announce a permanent extension of the Summer Hours Program for all Full Time Associates scheduled to work (30) hours or more each week. The decision to extend the half-day Friday schedule option serves to provide associates with greater flexibility throughout the year without diminishing news coverage or service to subscribers and advertisers. An alternative half-day schedule may be offered, pending supervisor approval and based on work schedule and department needs. If you are interested in the half day program, please contact Katharine Glass, VP of Human Resources at kglass@adamspg.com or your HR Representative in the region.
