Personal Statement
A rchitecture has many sides, and for me, outreach and community play an important role. I believe architects can have a strong community voice and AIA helps provide this positive impact and I enjoy the challenges that come with it. I engage in the AIA because by working together we can better ourselves, our communities and our architecture.

L ed production drawings and engagement in all phases of design. Coordinated owner and consultant progress and design meetings. Actively participated in job interviews, community and school board presentations and creating digital graphics. Performed construction administration tasks, including multiple projects at once. Submitted code review plans to several jurisdictions and numerous code editions. Ran the office resource library and handled product rep requests. Developed animations and 3D renderings for both presentations and working study models.

Leadership L ead internal project team on a daily basis, providing guidance and knowledge with job experience and technological issues. Offering ongoing guidance to future architects through mentorship within the office as well as involvement in the NDSU alumni mentorship program. Continued volunteer leadership within the AIA on many levels and committees including president of the Colorado South chapter in 2012, developed AIA National Convention Continuing Education Course in 2013 and partnered on AIA National Community Grant SDAT project.

Daylighting Analysis Mountain View Electric Association, Inc. Falcon, CO Facility Renovation & Expansion 2010 In-depth analysis of daylighting of the office space to help design the custom freestanding sun control shade and interior and exterior light shelf. AutoCAD and 3D Modeling were used.

American Institute of Architects (AIA) With my engagement within the AIA I have had the opportunity to be involved with several programs and initiatives. I have helped develop, organize, produce promotional flyers and volunteer during these events.
