Course rep expectations agreement

LiverpoolSU Course Rep Expectations Agreement This expectation agreement is not here to scare you off. It outlines the support you can expect from LiverpoolSU. In return we expect you to commit to being representative of your fellow students throughout the year.

What you can expect from LiverpoolSU:  A named staff contact in LiverpoolSU to support you.  Full training for your role.  Contact at least once a term to review how you are finding the role & any support or advice needed. This may be face to face, online or by phone. You can always request additional support.  Planning support for any larger changes you want to make or events you want to organise.  Support with identifying evidence to help you use your volunteering experience to support LJMU's World of Work initiative; this will help you to demonstrate the skills you gain to future employers.  Provide you with further knowledge and skills, by way of the Course Rep Accreditation Scheme.  The opportunity to meet new Course Reps and learn new skills.  To inform you of any LiverpoolSU campaigns, events and conferences such as Make It Happen.

What we will expect from you:  Gain students feedback, to ensure you’re representative of students’ views from your course, helping LiverpoolSU to fulfil its visions and values - http://www.liverpoolsu.com/ourvision  Be a positive ambassador for LJMU and LiverpoolSU at all times.  Work with academic staff to implement positive change.  Provide effective communication between students, LJMU and LiverpoolSU.  Attend or send feedback of student issues to all Boards of Study meetings required of you.  Familiarise yourself with the LiverpoolSU Course Rep web page http://www.liverpoolsu.com/courserep  Attend any training or events required of you by LiverpoolSU.  Ensure any campaigns and activities you organise and/or support are inclusive and participants are not discriminated against.  Respect confidentiality at all times.  Report any concerns or complaints to LiverpoolSU via coursereps@ljmu.ac.uk
