The challenge is to design a meditation & yoga center catering itsservices to max. 500-1000 people. The center should have open &enclosed areas for meditation & yoga. The aim of the competition is topromote such retreat centers which have now become the need of thehour in today’s world.

The zoning is divided into 7 parts considering the temple as the core and the rest 6 are radially connected from the centre.
The yoga center provides both indoor and outdoor yoga studios with capacity of 200 each ,studios are divided considering the age group
The brief is to design arts and architecture campus with the amenities that supports institutional building. The building should accommodate the blocks of administration education student and faculty housing with some recreational zones.

ACADEMIC DESIGN - INDIVIDUAL DESIGN
The temperature of Vijayawada reaches to 46deg max , as it isa tropical climate and humidity is high in vijayawada. So to avoid heat, the building long sides are faced to north and south directions and also to avoid heat gain by glass louvers are used. The liminal space between academic and residential spaces is shaded with a pavilion.
The entire academic building Is divided into 2 blocks - arts,n architecture. The block contains 4levels ,divided according to privacy,the upper floors contains studio spaces while the lower floors contains public spaces like galleries, auditorium etc,.
The block is covered with louvers to avoid direct contact with sun light.
Administration block is divided into four blocks to get sufficient ventilation , and contains a pitched roof for thermal insulation. The four blocks consists of both Architecture and Arts admin.
