ARCHITECT

Hi, I am a highly motivated and passionate architect, graduated in the year of 2018. Having 3+ years of professional experience as a design architect, along with a year-long internship experience during my bachelor studies strengthened my professional skills in the field of building construction and interior designing from conceptual planning to preparing final working drawings. Creativity being a major part of architecture has reinforced my interest and principles in the field of design. Growing up with a keen interest in the arts and later learning the fundamentals of design and artistic expression encouraged me to seek opportunities to implement them. I thrive on the challenge of working on multiple projects concurrently. I look forward to using my software expertise and creativity to produce quality content.

Play-Space “Those who contemplate the beauty of the Earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts” - Rachel Caraon

The ‘play-space’ design demanded the necessity of showcasing the importance and role of nature which was an intergral part to develope the knowledge and approach of children towards nature in their early stage of life. tThe already existing playground was redesigned into a multi-amenity space where children could explore their extra-curricular activities as well as enjoy it as a recreational space. The requirements were consolidated by designing a structure which equally compliment architecture and nature in its raw structure as well as its interior. Futhermore, the structure is divided to different levels with respect to the activities making sure the functionality of each space

How the Building Integrates Eco Friendly elements?

1- Skylights & exhausts at the roof level to release hot air and enable active ventilation. 2- A green roof that keeps the ambient temperature of the Interiors low. 3- Wind scoops in the south walls for the gym area that bring the cool south westerly breeze, cooled by passing them through the landscape berms, to the Interiors. 4- Mud and grass berms on the south side walls that help in keeping the walls and interior spaces cool. 5- Another device to reduce heat is also to tuck the building into the ground thus insulatitng it.

1- The PU college is tucked behind an existing building built to the side of the hostel and is a simple “L” shaped block. 2- A portal in brick and concrete, forms an entrance porch and courtyard for the PU block, giving it a distinct visual identity and creating a courtyard that seamlessly connects with the rest of the campus, yet affords a distinct open space for the older. 3- The existing building is sought to be visually and retrospectively integrated within the overall scheme. 4- The ground and green cover that is lost because of the addition of these buildings is returned to the site by greening the roof of the facility and replacing the toddlers play area on top of the badmiton court roof. This garden will seamlessly integrate the sunken building with the landscape. 5- The alumini and sports block virtue of having the badminton courts with its mandatory height requirements could have been an imposing structure unncessarily dominating the landscape behind the seminary. There is a natural contour from the top near the hostel towards the road below and this natural lay of the land is manipulated to tuck in the sports facility into the ground.

Deepak’s Spa “Buildings are deeply emotive structures which form our psyche” - David Adjaye

The project aims to solve the purpose of the space into its design without compromising on its functionality. The two floor raw structure is constructed in such a way that both the floors receive external visibility equally. This became an advantage while solving the design problem of how to gain the attention of the audience which generally goes directly to the ground floor. A SPA demands privacy that asks a designer to plan spaces that are differentiated from each other. The space should be understood to divide it efficiently. In order to achieve this project suggests a design strategy of usage of different flooring materials and wall colors to differentiate spaces

The structure encompasses two different commercial units where the first floor is converted into a SPA unit. The reception area that is planned next to the stairs is noticeably located ensuring visibility from a distance. The differentiation is not only brought with the division of spaces according to its function but also with wall colors and floor tiles. Designer tiles are used to highlight each space whereas wooden flooring is laid for private SPA spaces. Floor elevations at different spaces highlights and differentiates its functionality.

Club House “Architecture is really about well-being. On the one hand it’s about shelter, I think that people want to feel good in a space... but it’s also about pleasure.” - Zaha Hadid

Clubhouses are a great way to socialize. As it is known in the present times, a clubhouse is not a luxury but a summary of a happy lifestyle. It gives you space to engage in fitness activities along with recreation.where we are right now if not because of you. With that, we are motivated and inspired to create and write more articles that are essential to our readers. The proposal is for a multi-purpose structure which acts as a part of the already existing apartments adding a commercial entertainment factor to it. The design strategy follows the idea of co-living space with a multi-purpose hall, game room, gym, av, and reception space. Providing deluxe amenities standards is one of the major necessities of such closed communities.

The requirement was to design a personal and a s0cial entertainment space which compliments each other in their design strategy. The structure comprises 3 floors, flow of patterns are maintained throughout the floors. the ground floor is dedicated to social-entertainment activities whereas the other two floors are mainly dedicated for individual recreational purposes. Club houses encourages community living. It is a space for kids as well as adults, which gives a break to the otherwise monotonous lifestyle.

“The level of detail and craft is something that’s inscribed within the original design concept. And so when I begin to draw, I know what kind of detailing I want the building to have” - Tadao Ando

The project consisted of a necessity to have in-built furniture units. Technical drawings were made in order to achieve the demand. The following layouts will give an insight to the materials and patterns used in the indoor construction of kitchen and bedroom units. A project will sink or swim based on the quality of its detailing. If executed correctly, the building will look effortlessly sleek. However, the process to achieve such a feeling is certainly not effortless. Architectural detailing is intended to make these details stand out or blend seamlessly into the rest of the architecture.

7th Sense Bar “Architecture should speak of its time and place, but yearn for timelessness.” - Frank Ghery

The project called for a tribute to the love for cricket. Cricket, more than a sport, is known to be an emotion for Indians. The challenge of designing a space that speaks history and present making it a timeless tale was solved by showcasing it in the design incorporated in every single element that has been installed. Bringing out two different emotions was also a requirement that was necessary in order to represent the attachment people have on Cricket. The space is diagonally divided into two portions, that represent cricket ground and stadium. In order to differentiate the spaces the flooring as well as the ceiling have been approached differently. Some of the installments that represent cricket are pitch shaped DJ space, focus lights, seatings in shape of quarter cut balls, hanging lights in the shape of helmet, etc.,

Certain seating areas are designed in a way to attain privacy whereas other kinds are purely a depiction of entertainment in the real field. A smaller scale version of focus stadium lights are used especially in the bar counter and the DJ square. Hanging lights which are designed in the shape of helmets are another interesting lighting design used in the project.

DJ space with a runout stump wall and a half cut ball shaped DJ table has a unique way of telling the story of failure metaphorically suggesting the space is not only for the happy ones but also for the broken hearts. The project has used materials from the scarp giving an authentic touch to the complete structure.

Jagadeesh Residence @vellakovil

“There are two things that make a room timeless: a sense of history and a piece of the future.” – Charlotte Moss

The client approached with a requirement of a contemporary residence which doesn’t go under modern norms nor the past. The architecture style adapted here is a reflection of blending of the contemporary as well as the traditional design. In order to bring it into the design, we have included an earthy color scheme, free flowing floor plan, a courtyard, multiple green spaces, rooflight, floor to ceiling glass wall, wooden works and traditional patterns. Following minimalism, keeping it simple yet grand was the ultimate aim of the project.

The project started with breaking down the spaces into different categories. Partition walls are used in various spaces to divide spaces from each other without breaking them into different units hence maintaining the free flow of the plan. Common spaces are arranged around the courtyard. Wooden works are the most specific feature of the project which have been used on the floor, the walls, and the ceiling. To break the monotony green spaces are designed which blends graciously with the woodworks.

Color scheme used for the design is shades of brown that continues harmoniously throughout the residence’s common spaces. The double height living space with floor-to-ceiling glass wall ensures the interior receives enough sunlight. The courtyard located in the center of the residence plays a vital part in the air flow within the structure.

This interior renovation project came up with the requirement of redesigning the space which has been already designed. The project was approached in a way that the design reflects its function. Vibrant colors are used in order to add life to the space. Engraved patterns running through the ceiling and wall compliment the colors used throughout.

Residential Renders

Understanding and appreciating the form and purpose of the space is essential before laying down design strategies. Each space is unique and has to be created for the user. As an interior designer, a major task is to meld the requirements of the users with the design ideology that have been gained through the expertise in the field. Color, patterns and elements play a vital role in elevating a space. Knowing the apt color scheme based on the functionality and user requirement is important. Here are some of the other interior projects that have been done in the past.
