Eric  Mathewson,  of  Middlebury,  was  one  of  300  high  school  students  who  volunteered  during  the  United  Way’s  2013  Days  of  Caring.   A  sophomore  at  MUHS,  Eric  spent  the  day  clearing  brush  and  undergrowth  from  the  yard  outside  the  Congregational  Church.   Eric  has  also  volunteered  at  a  Community  Shelter  in  Florida,  at  the  Humane  Society,  and  for  the  Red  Cross.   When  asked  about  his  passion  for  volunteering,  Eric  ex- plained:  â€œMy  father  got  me  into  it  and  now  I  do  it  all  the  time.â€?   Thank  you  for  helping  out,  Eric!
