EL MUNICIPIO DE ADEJE Se encuentra situado en el Suroeste de la isla y ocupa una superficie de 105,94 kilómetros cuadrados, convirtiéndose en el sexto municipio en extensión de Tenerife.
Límites: Al noroeste con el municipio de Guía de Isora, del cual lo separa el Barranco de Erques. Al Sureste, el barranco del Rey o de Troya separa Adeje de los municipios de Arona y de Vilafor. Por su parte, al Noreste confina con el municipio de la Orotava a través del Parque Nacional de las Cañadas del Teide, mientras al Suroeste el Océano Atlántico baña las costas del litoral de Adeje. En este municipio podemos encontrar algunos de los materiales geológicos más antiguos de la isla, de hasta 7 millones de años, dando lugar a una intensa actividad erosiva, de la que son fieles exponentes el Roque del Conde o el Pico de Abinque. En el relieve municipal destacan el famoso Barranco del Infierno que en la actualidad se encuentra protegido como Reserva Natural Especial y la peculiar Caldera del Rey, que constituye un cráter freatomagmático. Desde la plataforma litoral, salpicada de pequeñas calas y playas, el municipio va ascendiendo hasta las estribaciones de las Cañadas del Teide, aunque sin una pendiente muy pronunciada, salvo el mencionado Barranco del Infierno. La población actual está en torno a los 48.000 habitantes
THE MUNICIPALITY OF ADEJE
Worthy of special mention in the municipal relief is the famous Barranco del Infierno ravine, which is currently protected as a Special Nature Reserve and the remarkable phreatomagnetic crater known as Caldera del Rey.
Located in the south west of the island and occupying a surface area of 105.94 square kilometres, it is the sixth largest municipality in Tenerife.Borders: To the North West with the municipality of Guía de Isora, separated by the Barranco de Erques ravine. To the South East, the ravine known as barranco del Rey or barranco de Troya separates Adeje from the neighbouring municipalities of Arona and Vilafor. To the North East it borders the municipality of Orotava through the Cañadas del Teide National Park, while to the South East the Atlantic Ocean bathes the Adeje coastline.
From the coastal platform, dotted with small bays and beaches, the municipality gradually slopes up to the foothills of the Cañadas del Teide, with the only pronounced gradient being that of the aforementioned Barranco del Infierno ravine. The population in the area is approximately 48,000 inhabitants.

It is in this municipality that some of the most ancient geological materials on the island are found- up to 7 million years old-, which have given rise to intense erosive activity. Perfect exponents of this are the Roque del Conde rock or Pico de Abinque mountain peak.

Adeje del Rey und Barranco de Troya die Gemeinde Adeje von den Gemeinden Arona und Vilaflor. Im Nordosten grenzt Adeje über den Nationalpark Cañadas del Teide an Orotava. Im Südwesten grenzt die Küste Adejes an den Atlantischen Ozean. Auf diesem Gemeindegebiet sind einige der ältesten geologischen Formationen der Inseln mit einem Alter von bis zu 7 Mio. Jahren zu finden. Von der intensiven Erosionstätigkeit zeugen der Roque del Conde oder der Pico de Abinque. Sehenswert ist die berühmte Schlucht Barranco del Infierno, die gegenwärtig als Sondernaturreservat geschützt wird, sowie der eigentümliche phreatomagmatische Krater Caldera del Rey. Ausgehend vom Küstensockel mit kleinen Felsenbuchten und Sandstränden erstreckt sich die Gemeinde bis zu den Ausläufern des Nationalparks Cañadas del Teide ohne ausgeprägte Steigungen mit der Ausnahme des bereits erwähnten Barranco del Infierno. Die Bevölkerung zählt rund 48.000 Einwohner.

Histórica Villa de Adeje
Following the Hispanic Conquest, the Town of Adeje was opened up to colonial influences, which can be seen in its stately mansions and catholic churches.
El pasado histórico de La Histórica Villa de Adeje se remonta a la época prehispánica. El Menceyato de Adeje fue en 1496 uno de los últimos territorios canarios en incorporarse a la corona de Castilla. El último Mencey, que tras su bautizo se llamó Don Diego de Adeje, firmó la paz con los castellanos y es el único del que se tiene constancia que vivió en Tenerife después de la conquista.
The most important religious buildings include the church of ST. Ursula and the Convent, which now houses an interesting museum of religious art, with exhibits dating from the 14th to the 19th century.

Después de la conquista hispana, la Villa de Adeje recibió la influencia colonial que quedó reflejada en las casonas señoriales y en los templos católicos.
Die historische Vergangenheit der historischen Stadt Adeje geht zurück auf die vorspanischen Epoche. Der Menceyato (Königreich) von Adeje wurde als eines der letzten Gebiete der Kanarischen Inseln 1496 von der Kastillischen Krone erobert. Der letzte Mencey (König), der nach seiner Taufe Don Diego de Adeje genannt wurde, unterzeichnete ein Friedensabkommen mit den Spaniern.
Entre los edificios religiosos destacan la Iglesia de Santa Úrsula y el Convento que hoy en día alberga un interesante museo de arte sacro, con piezas de los siglos XIV hasta el siglo XIX.

The Historic Town of Adeje dates back to the pre-Hispanic era. In 1496 the Menceyate of Adeje was one of the last territories in the Canary Islands to be annexed to the Crown of Castile. The last Mencey, who was christened Diego de Adeje, signed a peace treaty with Castile and is the only one known to have lived in Tenerife after the Conquest.

CLIMA No se trata de un slogan turístico, siempre hace buen tiempo en nuestra isla. La especial situación geográfica de Tenerife y la incidencia de una serie de factores sobre la zona, como la caricia constante de los vientos alisios, mantienen unas temperaturas medias agradables durante todo el año. No hace frío en invierno, pero tampoco es sofocante el calor en el verano. Durante las cuatro estaciones, el termómetro suele oscilar entre los veinte y los treinta grados, y la temperatura del mar, en las playas, es muy parecida, a veces superior a la ambiental.
CLIMATE Not just a tourist slogan, it is true to say that the weather on our island is always good. The special geographic location of Tenerife and the occurrence of a series of factors in the area, including the continual caress of the trade winds, provide for pleasant average temperatures all year round. It is not cold in winter, yet the heat in summertime is not suffocating. During the four seasons, the thermometer generally fluctuates between twenty and thirty degrees and the sea temperature on the beaches is very similar to and sometimes higher than that on land.
KLIMA Auf der Insel herrscht immer schönes Wetter und das ist kein Werbeslogan. Die besondere geographische Lage Teneriffas und die beständigen Passatwinde sorgen für ein angenehmes mildes Klima das ganze Jahr hindurch. Die Winter sind angenehm warm und selbst im Sommer wird es nicht unangenehm heiß. In den vier Jahreszeiten liegt die Durchnittstemperatur zwischen zwanzig und dreißig Grad, die Wassertemperatur ist ähnlich und kann sogar höher liegen.

GASTRONOMIE zu den vielen Reizen die Costa Adeje uns bietet, zählt auch die gute Küche und die Vielfalt an Gaststätten. Viele Restaurants setzten in den Jahren immer mehr auf kreative Gerichte, bei denen kanarische Zutaten die Grundlagen bilden. estas cumbres varios años después de oficialmente haber terminado la conquista de Tenerife en el año 1496. En él hay algunos restos de grabados aborígenes. Su formación geológica está encuadrada dentro del macizo de Adeje que, con el de Anaga y Teno constituyen las partes más antiguas de Tenerife. Debido a su antigüedad, la erosión ha actuado durante mucho tiempo y la zona es muy escarpada. Este sendero nos recompensará con una extraordinaria vista panorámica de todo el sur y suroeste de la isla de Tenerife.
Localización: Término municipal de Adeje,aunque parte de su recorrido se empieza desde el municipio vecino de Arona. Dificultad: Alta. Ascensos y descensos de barrancos. Peligrosidad: Media. Duración: 4 horas (6 kilómetros) Acceso: El Roque se encuentra dentro del término municipal de Adeje, aunque la primera parte del recorrido, desde Vento hasta el Barranco del Rey, pertenece a Arona. Beschreibung: Der Felsenberg „El Roque“ liegt im Gemeindebezirk von Adeje, das erste Teilstück des Weges jedoch, von Vento bis zur Schlucht Barranco del Rey, gehört zu Arona. Der Wanderweg beginnt, von der Hauptsraße des Ortes aus, auf der Höhe des Hauses Nummer 28, im Rücken einer Häuserreihe und führt zur Schlucht Barranco de las Casas. Der zum „Sondernaturschutzgebiet Barranco del Infierno“ gehörende Vulkandom Roque del Conde wird auch Ichasagua-Felsen genannt. Der Name erinnert an einen Guanchenfürsten, der noch mehrere Jahre lang nach dem offiziellen Abschluss der Eroberung Teneriffas im Jahr 1496 von diesen Gipfeln aus den Spaniern Widerstand leistete. So existieren in diesen Bergen auch noch Reste von Felseninschriften der Ureinwohner der Insel.
Access: El Roque is located in the municipal area of Adeje, although the first part of the route, from Vento to El Rey Gorge, actually runs through Arona. The path starts in the high street in Vento, just outside number 28, behind the houses which overlook Las Casas Gorge. El Roque del Conde is a volcanic dome located in the protected area known as the Reserva Natural Especial de Barranco del Infierno (Special Hell’s Gorge Nature Reserve). It is also called Roque de Ichasagua, in memory of the Guanche chief who resisted defeat in these hills for several years after the conquest of Tenerife officially ended in 1496. The area contains remains of aboriginal art. Geologically speaking, the rock belongs to the Adeje massif which, along with the Anaga and Teno massifs, constitute the oldest regions in the island. Due to its great age, erosion has taken its toll and the area is extremely precipitous. The path offers an extraordinary panoramic view of the entire southern and south-western part of the island.

Todas las opciones que ofrece la Isla y el mar están concentradas, a modo de escaparate, en el paseo marítimo que une Los Cristianos (Arona) con la playa de La Enramada (Adeje), de ocho kilómetros de longitud. En su recorrido el visitante puede disfrutar de una sucesión de playas reconocidas con la bandera azul europea en las que es posible practicar toda clase de actividades acuáticas, además de encontrarse con puertos pesqueros y puertos de pasajeros –desde donde zarpan los ferrys hacia otras islas- y el Puerto deportivo Puerto Colón.

All the options offered by the island and the sea are concentrated in the form of a showcase along the sea promenade that connects Los Cristianos (Arona) with the beach of La Enramada (Adeje), along a length of eight kilometres. Eines der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten unserer Region ist die Beobachtung der Wale und Delfine aus nächster nähe wärend eines bootsausfluges. Dank der Merkmale und der Sauberkeit unserer Gewässer, können wir das ganze Jahr über eine Walfischkolonie bestehend aus ca. 250 Exemplare treffen. Darüber hinaus werden folgende Leistungen angeboten: Bootsverleih, Bootsausflüge, Hochseeangeln ... Die Möglichkeiten in unseren Gewässern sind endlos.

The bottle-nosed dolphin also lives in the waters of southern Tenerife, and can be sighted in groups of 20. Every day, 265 days a year, boats leave Puerto Colón with tourists on whale and dolphin-sighting trips.

Congresos e Incentivos El Magma Arte & Congresos cuenta también con restaurante, cafetería, tiendas y una amplia zona de exposición comercial, así como la sala principal en la planta baja que tiene una superficie de 2.840 metros cuadrados, además de un escenario de 300 metros cuadrados y un aforo máximo de 2.500personas. En dicha sala se pueden modular salas desde 200 hasta 1.500 plazas. También en la plantabaja, a través del acceso al edificio, se puede encontrar una sala de recepción de 1.219 metros cuadrados. En la planta primera, además, existe una sala con una superficie de 1.865 metros cuadrados que puede convertirse en salas con capacidad de 20 a 200 personas.
El Magma Arte & Congresos cuenta con salas que se pueden subdividir mediante paneles móviles para ajustarse a las necesidades precisas que requiere cada acto que se celebre. Además, todas las salas tiene servicios comunes entre los que se encuentran el catering, azafatas, audiovisuales, iluminación y sonido, rotulación y decoración. Magma Arte & Congresos has a number of different rooms that can be subdivided using mobile panels in order to adapt to the specific requirements of each event organised. Furthermore, all rooms offer a series of common services, including catering, hostesses, audio visual equipment, lighting and sound equipment, signposting and decoration. The centre has the very latest audio visual and communication facilities, as well as a wide range of support rooms (VIP area, press rooms, workshop or mini-meeting rooms, etc.).
Der Kongresspalast des „Magma Arte & Congresos“ verfügt über mehrere Säle, die je nach Bedarf durch bewegliche Schiebewände perfekt den Erfor dernissen der jeweiligen Veranstaltung entsprechend unterteilt werden können. Zu dem „Magma Arte & Congresos“ gehören außerdem Restaurant, Cafeteria, Geschäfte und eine große. Ausstellungsfläche für Messeveranstaltungen und Produktpräsentationen. Der Hauptsaal im Erdgeschoss hat eine Fläche 2.840 qm, eine Bühne von 300 qm und ein Fassungsvermögen für maximal 2500 Personen. Der Saal kann in kleinere Säle mit zwischen 200 und 1500 Plätzen unterteilt werden. Ebenfalls im Erdgeschoss befindet sich die 1219 qm große Eingangs- und Empfangshalle. Der 1865 qm große Saal im Obergeschoss lässt sich in Einzelsäle unterteilen, die 20 bis 200 Personen Platz bieten können.

El edificio alberga varias esculturas de gran valor histórico y artístico, como la Virgen de La Encarnación (siglo XVXVI), la Virgen de Candelaria, San Juanito, Santa Úrsula (siglo XVII), La Virgen de Guadalupe (siglo XVII-XVIII) y la Virgen del Rosario (siglo XVIII).

Antes de 1560, año en que fue promovido el Beneficio de Adeje, ya existía una ermita puesta bajo la advocación de Santa Úrsula. En estas fechas residía en Adeje Pedro de Ponte y se considera que sobre esta ermita comenzó la construcción de la actual Iglesia.

Santa Úrsula Kirche Der Bau steht seit dem 7. Februar 1986 unter Denkmalschutz mit der Schutzkategorie eines kusthistorischen Gebäudes (Kanarisches Amtsblatt BOC 07/03/1986). Schon vor 1560, dem Gründungsjahr der Pründe von Adeje, gab es eine Einsiedelei, die dem Schutz der Hl. Ursula anbefohlen war. Zu dieser Zeit residierte Pedro de Ponte in Adeje. Ihm wird die Errichtung der gegenwärtigen Kirche am Standort der Einsiedelei zugesprochen. Der Bau besteht aus zwei Schiffen, die zu unterschiedlichen Zeitperioden errichtet wurden. Sehenswert sind die Innendecke im Mudejar-Stil, die Sgrafitti im oberen Bereich einiger Aussenmauern und die kleine Statue, die den Glockenturm krönt und im Volksmund Haupt des Juan Centeno genannt wird.

Hoy persiste la que fue la iglesia del convento, adquirida en 1988 por este Ayuntamiento. Se trata de una iglesia de planta rectangular, larga estrecha y amplia y compuesta por una nave principal y una capilla mayor, a la que se accede por un arco de triunfo de canter铆a sostenido por columnas del mismo material, adosadas por capiteles corintios y sobre los que se levanta un entablamento barroco. Actualmente se ha restaurado y se usa como sal贸n de actos.
Kloster 1988 erwarb das Rathaus der Historichen Villa von Adeje die Kirche des Klosters. Es handelt sich um eine rechteckige, langgestreckte und weitraeumige Kirche, die aus einem grossem Saal und einer Kapelle besteht. Man betritt sie durch einem aus Steinschlag gehauenen Triumphbogen, der von Saeulen des selben Materials gehalten wird. Die Taefelung ist im Barockstil gehalten. Vor kurzem wurde das Kloster restauriert und in der Aktualitaet fuer Festlichkeiten genutzt.

En el pueblo de la Camella, deberá cambiar y tomar la TF- 51 con dirección a Arona. Sin dejar esta carretera, diríjase a Vilaflor (***). Después de Vilaflor, siga por la TF-21 hasta Los Roques (*), Parador Nacional (*), Pico del Teide (***) y El Portillo (**) donde se recomienda visita informativa. En este último lugar, tome la TF-24 y, poco después, desvíese por una pequeña carretera, la TF-514, y pase por el Instituto Metereológico de Izaña (*) y el Observatorio Astronómico (*). Estos dos último lugares son de visita panorámica, no se puede entrar al interior. Después, vuelva hacia atrás por donde mismo y retome la TF-24.Continúe hacia el Mirador de Chipeque (*), Mirador de Ortuño (*). Pasará por la zona de Las Raíces y La Esperanza has-

Fahren Sie weiter Richtung Aussichtspunkt Mirador de Chipeque (*), Mirador de Ortuño (*), an Las Raíces und La Esperanza entlang bis Sie in La Laguna (***) ankommen, wo eine Baudenkmal-Stadtbesichtigung zu empfehlen ist. Nachdem Sie La Laguna besucht haben, fahren Sie auf die Autobahn TF-5 Richtung Hauptstadt , Santa Cruz (***), wo Sie z.B. zum „Shopping“ einen Halt machen können. Danach nehmen Sie die Verknüpfungsstrasse zur Autobahn Süd TF-1 und fahren wieder zurück nach Costa Adeje über die TF-1.

When you arrive to La Laguna, you should take the connextion motorway TF-2 ending finally on the motorway TF-1 and visit the villega of it Candelaria (***). Finally, come back to Costa Adeje on the motorway TF-1.

Then, keep on driving and go through Las Portelas, El Palmar and take the road TF-445 toward the Faro de Teno (**) (Warning: landslide road. Enter on you own risk!). Drive back again for the same road up to Buenavista del Norte (**) and change to TF-42 toward Los Silos, Garachico (***) and Icod de los Vinos (***), San Juan de la Rambla and fiinally drive through the motorway TF-5 direction of Santa Cruz. Then, take the connexion motorway TF-2 ending on the motorway TF1 direction Costa Adeje.

Nach der Besichtigung von Puerto de La Cruz, fahren Sie zur Stadt La Orotava (***) und.Los Realejos(**) Nach dieser Besichtigung wäre die Rückfahrt über die TF-5 Richtung Santa Cruz zu empfehlen und über die Verbindungsstrasse TF-2 schliesslich auf die Autobahn TF-1 Richtung Süden bis zur Stadt Candelaria (***). Regrese a Costa Adeje por la TF-1.

4th Day-Route From Costa Adeje, drive toward the East on the motorway on TF-1 until Santa Cruz. Then take the road TF-4 and TF-11, going along the sea front in the direction of San Andrés and stop at Playa de las Teresitas (**).Then, keep driving on TF-12 until you reach the cross road named El Bailadero (*). Once here, drive thorough the road TF-123 until Chamorga (*). Next, drive back on the same road up to the Cross Road of El Bailadero, and take the road TF-134 and go through Taganana (**), Roque de las bodegas, Almáciga (*), Benijo (**). Once you have visited Benijo, drive back again until El Bailadero. Now, you have to take the road TF-12 and go through El Mirador del Pico del Inglés (*), El Mirador del Carmen (*), Monte de las Mercedes y Las Canteras. Next, you have to drive on the road TF13 in the direction of Tegueste (**), Tejina, Bajamar(**), Punta del Hidalgo (**). Then, drive back again until the village of Tejina and take the road TF-16 toward Valle Guerra where you have to take the TF-163 toward El Pris (*) and Mesa del Mar (*). Keep driving
