WELCOME TO THE SCHOOLS BOOKING GUIDE FOR 2021! Our Schools Program is a great way to share in the magic of Fringe by providing a personalised booking and invoicing service for teachers organising Fringe experiences for their students.
The Schools Program offers access to discounted Schools Price Tickets with free tickets for teachers, and an Equity discount per ticket for Category 1 to 4 schools. This guide lists the many shows that appeal to young people including events specifically created for schools. Our team can help you choose a great show for your students and assist you with the whole booking process. To make a booking, request a session time, or enquire about any aspect of the Schools Program, email Dani at schools@adelaidefringe.com.au. Adelaide Fringe will then invoice your schools and issue the tickets.

SCHOOLS PROGRAM INFO FOR TEACHERS The Adelaide Fringe Schools Program provides assistance, benefits and resources to teachers booking Fringe experiences for their students. Through the program, artists offer discounted tickets for schools and free tickets* for teachers - these shows are listed in this Booking Guide. In addition, Adelaide Fringe also offers Category 1 to 4 schools a $5 Equity discount on each ticket purchased.
THE SCHOOLS PROGRAM COORDINATOR CAN ASSIST YOU BY: Assisting you to select a show for your students Accessing discounted Schools price tickets (where available) for your group Accessing free tickets for teachers (based on the Department for Education teacher/student ratio) Putting you in contact with artists for in-school performances Organising and invoicing a school booking for any Adelaide Fringe event (not just sessions with a Schools price tickets) Issuing your tickets
HOW TO CHOOSE A SHOW: All Fringe shows are self-rated by the artists and events with Schools sessions also have year-level recommendations listed in the Schools guide. You can search for shows on the Fringe website and filter by genre, date, family-friendly rating, accessibility and more.
HOW TO MAKE A BOOKING: To make a booking email the Schools Program Coordinator at schools@adelaidefringe.com.au with the name of the event, date, time and venue, the number of students and the year level, and the number of teachers/adults to attend. Ticket availability will be checked, and the best ticket price and free teacher tickets will be sourced and a quote provided. On acceptance of the quote, Adelaide Fringe will invoice the school and issue the tickets.
*Complimentary teacher tickets are issued according to the Department for Education teacher/student ratio: Pre-School – Year 2, 1:6 (1 teacher per 6 students) Year 3 – Year 7, 1:10 Year 8 – Year 12, 1:15 Additional teachers/adults above the complimentary ratios are charged at the same ticket price as student. In this exhibition Hall explores new possibilities within his practice, investigating relationships between painting, drawing, sculpture and installation. ArTIsT SpOTlIGhT This year’s winner of the Adelaide Fringe Schools Poster Competition is Isabella, a Year 2 student from St Mary's College. Thanks to Program Partner 9News, Isabella's class has won a performance by a 2021 Fringe artist. Thank you to all 311 students ranging from Years 1 to 10 from over 28 schools who submitted entries. We’d also like to acknowledge the Schools Exhibition partner, the Adelaide Central Market for hosting the Schools Poster Competition Exhibition. Drawing on his background in Mughul painting techniques, Mohammadi works to contemporise them and cast them in a new light. What would it look like? Schools in the City of Port Adelaide/Enfield area are invited to be involved in this place-making project through a workshop and participation in the final live interactive musical procession.
