2022 | Design Thesis Project
This design thesis project — Inspired by the narrative concept of a dream, MORPHEUS explores the multitude of architectures to simulate the operation of dreams. By utilizing the multitude of thinkers, things, and tools, this project tries to experiment with various design methods in shaping the complexity of the program as well as the formation of the architecture itself. MORPHEUS exists in the realm of storytellers filled with wandering conscious and scattered memories. It scavenged and processed the fragments of illogically assemblage objects in fulfilling its agenda of seeking and investigating the antifacts as a product of the multitude.

LILO
2021 | Collaborative Space
Project: LILO is an architectural intervention for a cultural heritage building in Kota Tua that aims to lighten up the space functionally and spatially. With the main program as a collaborative space, LILO tries to integrate the idea of “adaptive yet playful interiority” into it, both in the mechanism of use and the tectonic of the inserted modules.

The proposed program of a collaborative space emerges from how there is potential to accommodate the existing site diversity, both from its potential users and the historical traces of the building itself.

Spatial Fragmentation
Forming voids increases the possibility of vertical interaction between spaces (inside-inside) and external factors (inside-outside) while also triggering the occurrence of space fragmentation in defining the program hierarchy.

“Mmm...” is a house designed for a family of three: a father, a mother, and their youngest child. The father has limited mobility due to a past mild stroke, and the mother runs a traditional snack business at home. This design utilizes the aroma from the food production to form a social cycle, gathering the inhabitants. It also opens up opportunities for interaction with the surrounding environment. Its bent surface tectonic identity is integrated with a straightforward program, creating a simple yet intriguing experience.

Viva la Vista
is a data-based design that arises from analyzing the concept of “Out-of-Home” advertisement, which is then performed by celebrating the existence of vistas. The vistas act like a flame to a moth, gradually scaling the desire of the target audiences to particular actions by provoking the sensory capabilities of the spectator. This intervention aims to be a landmark that also becomes an interactive advertising space, promoting anything, even the city itself, for the wandering urban traveler.
