Splash of Relax 2013 | Academic | Architecture Design Studio 3
Splash of Relax is a relaxation space designed using typology-design-method. The presedences are thermal baths and spa houses that accommodate relaxation activity. From the precedence studies, it is found that relaxation spaces offer various kind of experiences that are spread but blending without disturbing each other. Study about splash ,as the keyword, brings the form.

PRESEDENCES STUDIES In the precedences studies, spa houses and thermal baths are used to find the main point of relaxation activity and relaxation space. The tracing of the movement of visitors is the intention. The tracing of the movement of visitors shows that the relaxation space consist of several different experiences that are spread, blend, and seperated one another. It also shows that the activity of relaxation is subjective, according to visitors’ desire to choose certain experience.
Module Making
SPLASH STUDY Splash consists of object (water), action (contact), and reaction (splash). It works similiar to relaxation typology.
MODEL STUDIES AND FORM MAKING Model studies are developed by transforming word ‘splash’ into spatial model. The final form is created by connecting modules, developed from model studies, with the vision to achieve the relaxation typology that is multi-experience space..

M Walk M Walk is a wide-span structure building that covers the main bus station in Blok M area. It connects 6 places around the bus station. The idea is to create an iconic building using wide-span structure. Analyzing buildings in the surroundings became the first step in the design process.
ICONIC
Being Iconic means being distinct among the surroundings. To achieve it, there should be an action towards the presence of competitors around the site. Invading by connecting them is the action chosen.
MASS DEVELOPMENT Mass development is done by considering connectivity, movement, size of the space, green area, sustainibility, and structure.
WIDE SPAN STRUCTURE The structure is designed to create a distinct physical looks that differ M Walk to the other building.
Warung Interaksi 2013 | Academic | Architecture Design Studio 3
Warung means small shop, and interaksi means interaction. This project tries to re-design warung to make better interaction between all the actors in kampung. Why warung? Because it is found that warung is the center of interaction in kampung. By intervening warung, it is hoped that the interaction between actors in Kampung will be enhanced.

Imah Cai
2014 | Competition Sayembara Rumah Tinggal | Participant
Imah Cai means Water House. This house uses water as the main trigger for the design. The existence of swimming pool, as dominating water space, is highlighted by exposing it to the other rooms in the house through the void. By then, the void becomes the central life of Imah Cai.
VOID AS THE CENTER OF THE HOUSE Center void becomes the central area of the house. This void maximizes lighting and air flow to minimize the use of electricity. The big window with one hinge to expose living room and music room. So that, through this void, music room can be seen from the other room. It creates a performance stage experience.
Section B
FACE TO FACE FAMILY ROOMS Music room, dining room, and living room as the core of the house, are created facing each other and connected by opening the big window in the void.

TETRIS MODULES Each type of tetris modules represents each group of activities in the house according to size and space requirements of each activities.
FITTING TO SITE The modules are stacked to fit the plot ratio. One module is put upright to decrease the ground floor area. And then modules are rotated to be the respond to the sun exposure. The modules are resized to fit the activities inside the modules and cut by the boundaries of the site. Final steps are materializing the boundaries and creating openings considering privacy, light, and air flow.
1st Floor Plan
STACKING THE MODULES The exploration is done by stacking the four modules into one mass. In this phase, the connection between modules becomes the main thing to be considered.

A pulley that pulled by an engine is applied in order to move fish rack from the ground level to the rooftop through a fish-rack-size chimney that built in the center of the house. To use less energy, a windwill installed on the top of the chimney to generate electricity using wind energy.
