Hundreds of people gathered in Lake Placid on March 24 to celebrate the village’s Olympic legacy and recognize Olympians from Lake Placid and around the region. A parade of Olympians returning from this year’s Beijing Winter Olympics, Olympians from past years and younger athletes made its way from Brewster Park to the Olympic Speedskating Oval as spectators along Main Street cheered them on.
