Each category is rated heavy duty, medium duty and light duty based on the overall voltage rating and service type. Our highly elastic selection of SJOOW and SOOW power cables are constructed with flexible stranded annealed bare class K copper.

FLEXIBLE POWER CABLE

The use of EPR insulation ensures excellent flexibility, tensile strength, elongation and aging characteristics, even in cold weather environments. All cables are UL and CSA approved for indoor/outdoor use and are oil, acid, chemical, solvent, ozone, weather and moisture resistant. Many are suitable for shallow water submersion.

The entertainment industry has specific and challenging needs, requiring lightweight, heavy-duty power cables that can withstand weather, frequent bending and twisting, and continuous load and power cycling. HIPOWER SYSTEMS offers two UL-listed single-conductor 600V cables purpose-designed to meet the rigorous requirements of event and entertainment activities such as theatre, broadcasting, spotlights, backstage, sound management and more. Offering remarkable flexibility with an extra compact EPR jacket,

these cables are built to withstand demanding environmental conditions, water and sunlight. Our UL and UL/C, CSA-C 22.2. stage lighting cable is constructed with rubber insulation is resistant to oil, solvents, ozone, aging and abrasion. It is suitable for continuous emersion in water and meets or exceeds the flame test requirements of MSHA. It can be used in accordance with NEC article 520, 525 and 530 for indoor and outdoor locations in extreme hot and cold environments (to 105째C/221째F).

Type SHD-GC Application Type SHD-GC cables are three-conductor Portable Power Shovel Cables with three conductors, one tinned copper grounding conductor and one ground check conductor. Portable Power Shovel Cables are recommended for heavy-duty high voltage Portable Power applications on mobile equipment where delivery of a heavy power load is required, such as excavation vessels, shovels, drilling rigs and underground mine power distribution. The cable is also suitable for high-voltage distribution in underground mines where Portable Power is necessary. This cable may be used in wet or dry locations at a continuous conductor temperature of 90째C. This cable is constructed of reinforced ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) insulation and reinforced with a neoprene thermoset jacket.

HIPOWER SYSTEMS offers two premium-grade Portable Power Cables/utility-grade cables. Our flexible, single-conductor jumper cable is often used as a flexible power lead to bypass portions of aerial power lines, for temporary utility connections, or for situations requiring a nonshielded, flexible cable. Manufactured using a flexible rope, stranded annealed uncoated copper with a nylon semi-conducting tape conductor shield, this cable is wrapped in ethylene propylene rubber insulation that is exceedingly hard-wearing and can

These ingenious power distribution devices enable facilities to connect a pullable or towable generator to a building’s incoming automatic transfer switch (ATS; a dedicated connection for incoming auxiliary power) within minutes. With a Generator Connection Cabinet in place, any operation would be able to have a generator towed to its site for fast connection without the need for an electrician or long cable runs. These cabinets

are especially valuable for facilities such as medical centers, where lives are at stake without power, and data centers, where failure to provide 99.999% uptime can cost a million dollars per hour in contract penalties and lost customer goodwill. Other scenarios where these cabinets are invaluable include convenience stores and gas stations that wish to stay open after a storm but do not want the expense of a standby generator at every store.

Our durable, safe, long-lasting Generator Connection Cabinet solutions are resistant to shock, impact, corrosion and weather, and are available in both wall-mount and pad-mount styles. An array of accessories completes the package.

HIPOWER SYSTEMS manufactures Camlok Generator Cabinets for a wide range of applications and industries, amperages ranging from 100 to 3200 amps that accommodate both small and large applications that allow quicker and safer emergency backup power access. The Generator Connection Panels can be custom mounted to your structure to allow a quick and easy connection of a mobile generator power to a transfer switches and similar style disconnects. When equipped with Female Camlok output, our panels can serve as a quick connection point to load bank permanent and rollup generators. The unique design provides enough space to accommodate wire bend radius. A HIPOWER SYSTEMS generator connection cabinet can serve as a remote connection point to permanent installed generators and switch gear, reducing set up time and the needs to bring extra temporary cable runs when restoring power with a towable generator. CAMLOK DEVICES. HIPOWER SYSTEMS carries Hubbell’s 400A single pole connectors are made from a specially formulated (TPE) that resists cracking in cold, hot or oily conditions as well as any other harmful environments that may be found within the Entertainment Industry. The connectors have been designed so they are easy to assemble, requiring no special tools. A high strength, non-conductive retaining screw will securely lock the contacts to the insulated sleeves. These single pole connectors are completely interchangeable with other manufacturers single pole products. The product is UL Enclosure Type 3R, 4X and 12K Rated.

PLUGS & CONNECTORS. We carry, Hubbell’s pin and sleeve line of plugs; connectors, inlets, receptacles, mechanical interlocks and accessories are the highest performing product available. The HBL series of IEC pin and sleeve and Insulgrip line are produced in the USA and have a full list of innovative features. The IEC line of plugs and connectors are made with a rugged super tough, one-piece housing. The thermoset polyester contact carrier provides a high resistance to electrical tracking. They withstand higher temperatures, which may result from overload or arcing. The heavy- duty, external cord grip provides superior strain relief on the conductors. The Insulgrip line of pin and sleeve is listed UL Type 4X which provides a watertight, dust-tight seal for harsh environments. The non-metallic bodies of the plugs and connectors provide excellent insulating, impact and UV resistant properties. The patented beryllium copper spring-pin design of the contacts maintains high unit pressure on mating sleeves. This ensures reliable electrical contact while minimizing heat rise. There are two styles of Insulgrip pin and sleeve devices. Style I devices achieve grounding by attaching the metallic shell to a ground terminal within the device. Style II devices feature redundant grounding by including an additional ground pin and sleeve to the grounding method used in Style I. The full Insulgrip line of devices is interchangeable with other manufacturers of UL1686 C1 devices, which makes it ideal

for use in industrial applications where products from multiple manufacturers may be present. Both the IEC and Insulgrip lines of pin and sleeve are used often in conjunction with mechanical interlocks. Mechanical interlocks prevent users from mating or breaking the circuit under load. This feature is critical to maintain a safe electrical connection. The interlocks are also available in reverse service applications where a generator is providing power to an electrical system.

CAMLOK CONNECTORS. We stock a broad range of Square-D I-Line Electronic trip molded case circuit breakers have a molded case made of a glass-reinforced insulating material that provides high dielectric strength. These circuit breakers: • Share common tripping of all poles. • Can be mounted and operated in any position. • Meet the requirements of NEC Section 240-6 by providing a means to seal the rating plug and trip unit adjustments. • Are equipped with an externally accessible test port for use with a Universal Test Set. • Are fully tested, UL Listed and CSA certified for reverse connection without restrictive LINE or LOAD markings. The H-, J-, L-, and P-frame circuit breakers are also IEC certified.

Blank Fillers Blank fillers are required to cover unused mounting space in I-Line panel boards. Back-fed Main Breaker Barriers Primarily for use in Canada, these barriers provide additional protection for back fed main breakers.
