TotalEnergies, Iberdrola and Norsk Havvind have joined forces and established the Norwegian offshore wind company Skjoldblad. We will play a leading role in developing a world-class offshore wind industry in Norway and securing power for the Norwegian energy transition.
Background By 2050, Norway will be decarbonised and become a low-emission society. Access to renewable energy is one of the prerequisites for managing this.
Norway is blessed with ideal conditions for offshore wind, having a long coastline and exposure to strong Nordic winds. This makes the country ideal for offshore wind generation. Therefore, Norway has identified offshore wind as a key opportunity to diversify its industrial base, but also creating new jobs and economical benefits.
