Wednesday's Child: A weekly feature that currently airs on NBC10 and KYWRadio. Focused on older youth in foster care, Wednesday's Child shares their stories with thousands of potential families, raises awareness about the foster care system, and provides a special day for the youth in care. In the last 15 years, Wednesday's Child has featured 840 children resulting in over 500 adoptions!
Meet the Children: The Center's website consistently features 30-40 children ready for adoption. The site allows prospective parents to fill out an inquiry form, and a Center Staff member follows up and provides prospective parents with information and resources needed. This year, the Center is updating the site to include videos on all the child profiles and artwork the children have created.
AdoptMatch: An online service allows prospective adoptive families to register, create a unique profile, and match with over 200 potentials agencies that best fit their adoption needs and goals.
Match Events: For over 30 years, Adoption Center Match Events have brought together children waiting to be adopted from foster care with approved, home-studied families. Targeted toward older youth, Match Events are proven to increase successful adoption rates for children who attend with 73% receiving at least one inquiry from a family interested in adoption.
Cultural Events: Cultural Events provide a day that is purely for the youth's enjoyment while supporting their community of care. These events build relationships among workers and youth as both parties are engaged in a day just for fun.
Emergency & Education Needs: A fund created to help with immediate needs that arise, including care packages and school supplies.

Why Now? They need us The number of children in foster care is expected to rise due to the pandemic. The number of available foster and adoptive parents is declining.
We are growing The Adoption Center is expanding our geographic reach and media partnerships. The Center is launching it's new Pat Mans Volunteer program.
It's our birthday The Adoption Center is turning 50 and in May 2021 we will be kicking off our year long anniversary campaign.
