hen we don’t know what to say—God does. He uses the words in this book as a tool to comfort those who are sorrowful. It is like a first aid kit for the broken heart. His words bandage the wound. They provide a soothing oil of gladness. They are a salve to heal the scar and reveal the beauty within. Now Is Not Forever—a grief journal of hope reminds us to focus on Jesus instead of troubles or sadness. True joy is found when you know Jesus loves you unconditionally and you trust Him as the Savior of your soul. He assures us that there is life after death, that a Heavenly home awaits those who have trusted in Him. Our despair diminishes when we praise God for who He is and acknowledge His greatness, wisdom and power. This book offers encouraging quotes and verses in a daily format that allow God to provide comfort, as well as lines for the readers to keep their own journal. Others who have traveled the journey through grief testify to the assurance of hope that is found when you know Jesus. Now Is Not Forever is a ministry to grieving hearts.
About the Author When my husband of 31 years passed away in 2004, I held firmly to my anchor, Jesus Christ. He spoke to me so clearly in the days that followed, so I began to journal the comforting words that came to me daily in various ways. God knew exactly what I needed to hear, when I needed it, for as long as I needed it. I long to share these words of comfort and encouragement to others who have lost their spouses. I began by loaning my journal to some friends who lost their spouse. Then God urged me to print it all out on my computer and have copies made at Office Depot. By word of mouth my journal became in demand and Office Depot was no longer an efficient way Read About It Magazine | May 2012
of distribution. I also needed to obtain permissions to use the material in the book if I was to have it published. God has been so evident in this project by opening doors and paving the way. I give Him all the glory for the lives that are touched with this book. This is God’s project and I am honored and thrilled that He has allowed me to serve Him in this way. I have been an apprentice with The Christian Writer’s Guild and am a Proverbs 31 Ministry alumna. My work has been published in Alliance Life magazine and The Secret Place devotional. I have been active with the church drama team and have written for the church devotional booklets. I currently work part time as an MRI technologist and live with my new husband and old cat.
