Dear candidate, first of all, let me congratulate your for your decision to apply for the position of Local Committee President of AIESEC Banskå Bystrica for the term 2016. In AIESEC, we are striving to achieve peace and fulfillment of humankind´s potential. Do you want to know what is your potential? Do you want to know how you, as individual, can contribute to better Slovakia and the better world and empower others to do the same? If your answer is yes, you have made the best decision by applying for the position of LCP. Also, we develop leadership of youth by practical experience in challenging environments. From my experience, the LCP position is the most challenging in AIESEC and it will develop you like no other experience can. As LCP, you will lead Executive Board and Leadership Body of our LC and through them all members to strive to achieve the vision of our organization. Also, you will have a chance to create and implement strategies that contribute to goal achievement and development of our LC and to leave a desired legacy for the next generation.
During your term you will need to be fully committed to our organization and its purpose, you will have to take important decisions that can change the future of our LC and take full responsibility for it. However, the LCP position is sometimes called "the loneliest position in AIESEC" because you are the only person in your LC with that experience and responsibility. Luckily, there are hundreds of other LCPs in our network and more importantly six in Slovakia who are going through the same experience and are always there for you. Also, as a part of Boards of Presidents of AIESEC in Slovakia you will have a chance to influence the national direction and strategy of our organization. May this experience help you explore your passion and help you believe in your ability to make a difference in Slovakia and in the world. This application should enable you to introduce yourself and to write down your vision, strategies and your desired legacy for our LC. What should be covered in the Application package: video questionnaire endorsement letters CV Your application package must be sent in zip. format with following name: „LCP_application_AIESEC_BB_2016_name_surname“ to adriana.filipova@aiesec.net
DDL is 28‐10‐2015, 20:00 CET Important information: All parts of the application must be in English. The length of the questionnaire should be at maximum 8 pages (without endorsement letters & blank paper challenge). You can change the design of the application, but you cannot change the content of the questions. Include a link to video in which you introduce yourself and your personal motivation for the role of LCP. Video should have min. 3 and max. 5 minutes. Please, attach to questionnaire also min. 2 and max. 4 endorsement letters. (min. 2 of them from fullmembers of AIESEC Banská Bystrica). Attach your CV in English. Application which will not be consisting of all parts will not be accepted. Election process: Elections will be held on 05-11-2015, detailed information will be provided one week in advance. RELEVANCE 1) According to your opinion, what is the relevance of AIESEC (1. in Central and eastern Europe 2. in Slovakia 3. in your region)? 2) Who are the 3 most important stakeholders of your LC? What is relevance of AIESEC to them? 3) What should be the contribution of you as LCP within national plenary? What should be the contribution of your LC within national plenary? VISION 1) How do you envision the LC in term 2017? What needs to happen in 2016 to enable that? Keep in mind the organizational development from at least 3 terms ago. 2) How do you envision the culture at the LC at the end of your term? How do you want to achieve it? STRATEGIES 1) Blank paper challenge ‐ What strategies will you use to achieve your vision and how will you evaluate if your term as an LCP was successful? 2) Please, write 3 GCPs (good case practices) from foreign entities that you would implement in your LC.
