House | Giovanni Pallaoro June 2012 – Present | La Paz, Bolivia >
Image description Top • The south facade has few openings for privacy from neighboring homes; this however created a volumetric issue, which was resolved by indenting the volume with the patio that starts from the basement reaching to the second level. Bottom • A seperation of the main body is created to mark the division between the main house and the loft/service area.

Image description Top • The main floor opens through a series of platforms covered by a projected roof that extends over sliding glass doors. These exterior spaces are defined by wooden slats that mark the change between the resilient grey brick shell and concrete slabs. The second floor opens up to a combination of terraces that extend toward the northern facade. Bottom • The pool area creates a controlled barrier between neighboring homes and green area dedicated to multi-purpose exterior space. It is made up of sitting areas accompanied by a bar equipped with a full kitchen/BBQ station and and changing rooms. The pool opens up to the west side which optimizes daylight to it maximum potential.
