Situation Analysis A) The fashion industry is recovering from years of a turning economy and creating new ways to drive business in the United States. B) The challenges in the fashion industry right now are the economy, rise of second hand shopping, and consumer brand loyalty. C) Organizations are looking for innovative ideas and excited team members to run their fashion businesses and keep things positive. Mission Statement My mission is to create a positive influence on an organization that I am passionate for and work my hardest to drive great results. Value and Brand Statement My name is Adrienne Torre and I want to be known as passionate, results driven, and hard working. I create value by being on time, working hard, recognizing the big picture but focusing on steps to achieve the goal, and trying my best. Organizations can expect a positive attitude, passionate, and hardworking young woman. I drive sales, coach and develop, communicate and create a positive environment. Career Objectives My short-term goal is to become a Co Manager of Henri Bendel in the Water Tower Place. I would like to learn everything that goes along with this role and then after a few years move to New York and work for our corporate offices. In order to achieve my long-term goal of working for our corporate office in New York, I need to be a co manager and learn about running the business. In order to hold a position high up in the company I need to know how to do everything in between. There is no real on going education that is mandatory but more classes in business would be a great help. Experience from working as a co manager for at least a year should set me up for the future I dream of having.

Leadership Style I consider my leadership style to be all about motivation. My favorite part of my job is motivating team members to do their best and to achieve their goals. It is so much fun and gives me such excitement when I see team members succeed and feel good about the things that they do. I try to lead by example but also know that not everyone responds to that way as the best way. I am definitely still developing my leadership style, as it is an ongoing process. Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator I am an ENFJ, which means I am an extrovert who likes a process for everything! This makes me organized and clear headed as a leader although it does set me back with things do not always go as planned.

Leadership Journey Map 6th grade: Started babysitting 4 girls under the age of 10 Danced in the Flint Youth Ballet which had 25 other dancers 7th grade: Became a camp counselor for 2 ½ to 5 year olds 8th grade: Was 1st chair in the cello section of my orchestra 9th grade: Started working at a tanning salon 10th grade: Continued working at a tanning salon but because a key holder 11th grade: Worked a lot of food industry jobs that did not last longer than 6 months 12th grade: Worked for a turkey restaurant and was the head cashier Throughout middle school and high school I held unmarked leadership roles. I have babysat ever since I can remember and being around kids for several hours at a time makes you realize where they are learning their actions. Being in an orchestra and a ballet group made me a team member and every team member is at some point leading the group. This type of leading can be anything from a positive attitude to being the person people ask questions. While working at the tanning salon I frequently was there alone and teaching myself how to run a business took strong leadership skills. There was a lot of decision-making involved and lots of trial and error. As a stubborn teenager, the food industry jobs that did not last long were due to me deciding that it was not a good fit. In the end, I think I made the right decisions. In college I started to work for a company named Buffalo Exchange and I was a buyer who bought in 80% of the store’s inventory. This was an extremely challenging role in that everything I bought was essentially teaching the rest of the team what to buy and not to buy for the store. I did a lot of training and was a key holder. I was also awarded with employee of the year honors, which made me realize that I loved being in a leadership role. This was the moment I realized that passion played into leadership more than anything. I was so passionate about the clothing that when I would train others it would shine through and they would get excited. This is what plays into me being a motivational leader. After working here for a year and a half I started working at Anthropologie. Here I did not feel like much of a leader because the staff was so large but I learned lots of a manager I had who was probably one of the greatest leaders I’ve ever had. She would do everything that all of us had to do and took a lot of time to give everyone feedback and praise. I now work at a luxury handbag and accessories store called Henri Bendel where I am the sales lead. Here I lead the team to do their best and to achieve their goals. Leader is in my job title and it is probably the most fun and rewarding job I have ever had. Five to ten years from now I hope to have more influential managers as leaders and learn more and more how to develop myself as a leader. It is such an ongoing process and there is no right or wrong way to go about it. In order to get to this point in life I would like to keep working on my career objectives.
