An Iconic project and an Architectural & Engineering wonder of the modern world, Sandeep Gore worked on this project with Atkins for almost 4 years right up to the nal handover to the client / operators. As a Senior Architect, Sandeep was involved with all the detailed design & coordination works. The Strand – Beach structures is a large master planned wellness development owned by Jumeirah Group, and designed by M/s Cracknell the lead consultants. The primary objective was to create an attractive and unique beachfront timber structures along the Al Qasr & Madinat Jumeriah Hotel beachfront. A&D Studio was involved in the concept to detail design & engineering of all the structures, along with the complete supervision up to completion and hand over. The infrastructure MEP Engineering for the structures was also under the A&D Studio scope of works.

The brief was to redesign the internal foot print and add more rooms, keeping security issues in mind & enhancing the structure to a modern design. The entire façade was also revamped to a modern look. The internal hotel planning was recon gured by relocating the lobby & restaurant to 1st oor level & retaining existing barrier of shops at the ground oor, which addressed the security concerns

of the operator. The entire tower foot print was completely recon gured to optimise the guest room layouts. Further additional rooms were added around the pool deck level.

A&D Studio as the lead consultants, designed and executed the refurbishment and installation of the new, twin slides, in coordination with M/s. Whitewaters, the water parks & slide specialist from Canada. Redesign and engineering of the new slide with addition of new supports within the existing structure, new access stairways, new connecting roof deck and bridge to provide new direct access the ride. Re-theming to create a new ambiance in keeping with the parks look and feel. Refurbishment of the existing tower to provide an new 6.0 mts cantilevered starting platform for 47

The retail zone is designed to meet the speci c requirements of the end tenants / operators M/s Lulu Group. The modern exterior façade, with its clean lines is in harmony between the metal and glass. The façade has been speci cally designed to meet the operator’s essential requirement of providing minimum external exposure, providing more shelving space 65

UNION MOTORS SHOWROOM Location: Deira , D uba i, UA E Client: Al Nabo oda h G r oup Located on the main Dubai Sharjah Highway, the essential concept of this car showroom was to provide an interactive high tech glazed faรงade which would double up as a display wall for their products and add more value to the show room; making this showroom a cut above the rest. The car display and sales is located on the front side and the service workshop on the rear side with separate rear access. First oor consist of of ces, meeting rooms, training room, cafe lounge for the customers on the front side. A spare parts store and back of ce is located at the rear 71
end with direct connection to the service area of the ground oor.

Mr Sandeep Gore worked on this project with Atkins from the concept right up to the detail design. This classical Arabian style villas complex included 6 no. 5- Bed villas with all facilities and a central swimming pool with lush landscapes. The salient feature of this villa complex was that in a tight plot each villa had the advantage of a good sea view with its own private garden, ensuring an ef cient space planning.

The project involved the refurbishment of an existing Arabic restaurant to a classical themed Indian Restaurant. Due to restricted budget the clients brief was to achieve the required transformation with minimal refurbishment. Minor modi cations were made to the layout to increase the seating ef ciency without affecting the area of the open kitchen and bar. Major alterations were achieved by theming the existing columns to the Indian style in keeping with the restaurant cuisine.
