Operating Instructions Part # AT8400A Foot Pedal PTT 1. Set up the AdvanceCommunicator™ as per the operating instructions supplied with the AdvanceCommunicator™:
Connect the local antenna to the antenna port at the back. Connect the power supply adaptor included in the kit to nearest outlet. NOTE: Connect the Foot Pedal rather than the handset into the handset jack (RJ45) on the base unit. The handset can (but does not need to) remain in the handset cradle. Connect earpiece cable to the bottom of the base and connect the other end to earpiece connector in the mobile. Insert the mobile into the cradle socket in the base. Connect one end of the data cable to the AdvanceCommunicator™ unit while the other end connected to the end of USB serial cable (in case laptop used). Connect the USB side of the USB serial to PC (in case laptop used)
2. Insert “Foot pedal” software CD supplied with Foot Pedal.
Run the executable file located on the Foot Pedal software CD. Allow the update file to be extracted to the default directory which is already provided by selecting Unzip. NOTE: Ensure that the AdvanceCommunicator™ is connected to the PC and that the Foot Pedal is plugged into the base units. Launch the AdvanceTecPhone software and connect mobile to computer Select “Options” Select “Firmware Update” Select “Program Update” Select “Update” Begin Update. Select DeskFalcon_310107_FootPTT Make sure communication cable is connected, then disconnect and reconnect power supply. Wait for update to complete. Wait for initialization Once “Phone Ready” installation is complete and foot pedal can be used
