Former First Lady and Preston Hollow resident Laura Bush was the debut speaker at the newly unveiled performance hall at Edgemere this summer. She regaled a packed house with stories about her time in the spotlight, 9/11 and life after leaving the White House, adding that she and President George W. Bush’s greatest happiness of late has been serving as grandparents to granddaughters Mila and Poppy. The new performance hall will host speakers, music and other events for Edgemere residents, part of a $36 million overhaul happening at the senior living center. (Photos by Danny Fulgencio)
