Ditto Boutique has moved from its Lovers Lane and Inwood location to its new home in Mockingbird and Abrams’s Hillside Village, near Tuesday Morning. The upscale consignment shop carries vintage clothes from high-end labels such as Chloe and Diane von Furstenburg, plus more recent fashion from mid-range brands such as Lucky and Banana Republic.

CrossFit White Rock 1 recently opened at Live Oak and Skillman. The gym eschews machines in favor of mixing exercise techniques such as gymnastics, weightlifting, and track and field. Owner Ben Winski, an M Streets resident, is a former gymnast who grew up in Dallas, built houses for a living in “corporate America”, and decided to revaluate his options when the economy started heading south. “I’ve seen people get strong and fit by doing it,” Winski says of his new venture. For information call 214.444.8540 or visit crossfitwhiterock.com.

Big news for yogis: GoYoga is now Uptown Yoga Lakewood , and beginning Jan. 1, 2011, members of either studio can practice at either location (1908 Abrams Parkway or 2636 Thomas in Uptown). If our neighborhood looks a little more eclectic these days, it might have something to do with Savvy Consignments (9034 Garland Road), a new store near Cheesecake Royale Owner Rhonda Arnold, a Lakewood resident, says, “I have a little something for everybody.”

A Lower Greenville resident is on a mission to convince people his crumb cake is the tastiest in town. “The name of the game for me is ‘just try it’,” says J-Stephen Sadler, owner of Crumbzz 4 “Once you’ve tried it, you’re hooked.” Sadler once owned a café in New York, eventually selling it because, as he says, he wanted to have a life again. He put aside his baking hat until he ran into a fan of his cakes at DFW airport. In March 2010, he started rebuilding his company, but this time built it online instead of opening a shop. His crumb cakes and toppers (mini cakes) come in three flavors: cinnamon streusel, chocolat de la terre and fruit of the seasons. Dallas residents receive free shipping on their orders. Sadler’s cakes also are sold locally at The Cultured Cup , Maudee’s Café and Tea Room and the Four Seasons Resort and Club For information call 214.541.9665 or visit crumbzz.com. —ElizabE th Knight En
