After much delay and anticipation, Dough Pizzeria has finally opened at the northwest corner of Preston and Forest. The San Antonio-based pizzeria serves up authentic Neapolitan pizza that has been certified by L’ Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana in Naples, an association that trains restaurants to make the real deal. Nearby, and expected to open soon, Patrick Columbo’s new restaurant in the former Preston-Royal Popolos space finally has a name, Princi Italia The Italian restaurant with a Tuscan farmhouse-like atmosphere has hired Chef Kevin Ascolese (Fuse, Ferré, Mi Piaci) to create a menu full of handmade pastas, flatbreads, wood-fired pizzas and other authentic Italian dishes.

NEW STORES, TRUNK SHOWS AND FASHION ON DISPLAY AT NORTHPARK

NorthPark Center will be buzzing this month. The shopping center hosts its third annual Fashion’s Night Out on Thursday, Sept. 8 from 6-10 p.m. The event features live fashion podiums, make-up and beauty stations, live music, “fashionable” food and in-store events. The men’s, women’s and accessories boutique Elie Tahari Ltd. opens its first freestanding boutique inDallas this month at NorthPark Center. Nike will also open its new store concept at NorthPark this month, featuring its NIKEiD on-site customization services for footwear, apparel and equipment. The much-anticipated opening of the trendy fashion boutique H&M has finally arrived. “H&M is thrilled to be expanding into the Texas market,” says Daniel Kulle, U.S. president for H&M. “We have been waiting for this for quite some time. The Dallas market is such a big opportunity for H&M, [and] the grand opening of H&M at the NorthPark Center will be a great addition to the Dallas retail landscape.” Also this month at NorthPark, Swag jewelry boutique is hosting two notable trunk shows: Cynthia Ann on Sept. 22 from 4-8 p.m. and Dian Malouf’s new Swirl jewelry line, Sept. 15–17 from 6-8 p.m. Jerry Szor Contemporary Jewelry, located in The Plaza at Preston Center, welcomes Texas jewelry designer Russell Trusso, Sept. 22–23 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. This neuro-anesthesiologist-turnedjewelry-designer makes delicate jewelry inspired by Mother Nature.
