Marymount Expectations

Welcome to the 2023 school year, whether you are new to our school or returning Marymount families. This is a year that is brimming with hope, possibility and opportunity. While the world looks different after the disruptions of previous years, we are hopeful for what we can do and for what we can achieve that will have meaningful impact.

This year we are called to action through our mission acknowledging that We are a Catholic, inclusive, and childcentred learning school community. Our values keep us on track and inspire us to continually Engage, Challenge, Include, Collaborate and Reflect. We are grateful to work with your children to see this mission develop over the course of the year which will in turn foster an environment where all the children can reach their potential. Our Explicit Improvement Agenda will focus on 3 of these values across the year:

• Catholic Identity (ENGAGE) – To effectively engage staff, students and parents to develop their understanding of the Historical Religious Life of Marymount.

• Learning & Teaching (CHALLENGE) – Build teacher capacity to move high potential students from B to A in the area of Mathematics.

• Our People (COLLABORATE) – Establish a whole school wellbeing framework to create a common language and understanding.

Community is at the centre of our school and we look forward to developing further opportunities where our families and local agencies are a strong part of our ever growing Marymount community. Our sincere thanks extends to the Marymount families who have taken up the opportunity to be included in this Business Directory and now we look forward to utilising their services and support those who support our school.
