Tyler Reddick is known for being an aggressive race car driver on the track. But outside of his NASCAR Cup Series machine, he’s much different. The California native is ready to share parts of his daily life – some that might surprise you and others that might not. Let’s get to know this 25-yearold driver for Richard Childress Racing.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE?

I’M GOING TO BE A

nerd – Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. It’s a classic. There’s no need to explain it further than that.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BAND?

THIS MIGHT BE

controversial in some eyes, but it’s Van Dyke. I also probably have 20 to 25 band shirts of Slipknot. I love aggressive music. It kept me motivated and pushed me hard during the dirt years when things sucked. It kept me pumped up and motivated every single day.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD?

IT’S A TIE FOR

first. It’s sashimi sushi or Mexican food. I can’t give one the title and not mention the other. Those are the two tied at the top.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE VACATION DESTINATION?

THAT’S A GOOD

question. I don’t vacation. I’m a borderline psychopath. I quite honestly can’t go on a vacation. My girlfriend has tried and my family has tried. I get there and all I think about is what I can be doing to get ready to race.

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE ACTOR?

THAT’S A TOUGH

one. I already said something about Star Trek, so I can’t say it again. I have to go with Sir Patrick Stewart. I’m kidding myself.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PIECE OF RACING MEMORABILIA?

MY FAVORITE

piece I have is the hood off of my BurgerFi championship car. Everyone at JR Motorsports signed it and gave me their best wishes after the championship. Everyone in that building signed the hood. Dale’s mom,

Brenda, signed it, too, and that makes it even more special. That hood means a lot to me.
