MICHAEL TATOIAN
PRESIDENT & CEO DOVER INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
Dear Race Fans,
Hello from Dover International Speedway! We are looking forward to hosting you and your family at the Monster Mile for our NASCAR tripleheader weekend.
As thankful as we all are to see America’s best drivers back in the First State, we are even more grateful that we get to see you back in the stands at Dover for the first time since 2019.
Like all of you, our team experienced both highs and lows in the last year when the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic struck. The Monster Mile became a focal point for community events, from hosting monthly food distribution events that have serviced more than 12,000 households to seeing the joy of the next generation when we invited more than 400 graduates of Dover High School’s Class of 2020 to take celebratory laps around the track as they received their diplomas. We have also been a Delaware headquarters for COVID-19 vaccinations, with almost 54,000 residents serviced through early April.
While you are at the Speedway, please follow all posted COVID-19 procedures and protocols. They are implemented for the safety of the entire NASCAR family, from the competitors and officials to fans and volunteers.
On the track, defending Dover Cup Series winners Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick are back at the world’s fastest one-mile oval, as well as reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Chase Elliott, Kyle Busch, Ryan Blaney, Joey Logano and more of your favorites! Be sure to visit DoverSpeedway.com for updates and download our mobile app for schedules and announcements surrounding our race weekend.
The on-track centerpiece is the “Drydene 400” NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, May 16, the 103rd NASCAR Cup Series race in Dover’s long history. It is preceded by the NASCAR Xfinity Series Dash 4 Cash race on Saturday, May 15 and the “General Tire 125” ARCA Menards Series East race on Friday, May 14.
Please enjoy the features in this souvenir program, please stay safe, and we hope to see you return to the Monster Mile in 2022.
Sincerely,
Michael Tatoian
