SPARKLING SPRING GIVES US FRESH IDEAS TO BOOST OUR MOOD!

New Spring – New Ideas & Fresh Programmes by Dóra Mészáros

AEGEECWG.BLOGSPOT.COM

In the world… As spring is irrevocably here

This month our main task is organizing and promoting our wonderful anniversary event, the ’AEGEE Capital of Culture’ and discussing about the Cultural European Night at Agora Enschede.

What have we done this month? As Agora Enschede is coming soon, we are discussing that after the successful Cultural European Nights (CEN) in EBM Riga and in Agora Alicante we think that it is possible to re-create a successful experience and make the CEN again. We believe the importance of such a programme at statutory events and that we can revive it. We would also appreciate some input from all AEGEE members.

If any AEGEE member has a good idea of how an ideal CEN would look like, please read more here and contact us! The other most important event which is coming soon is the ’AEGEE Capital of Culture’. It has been already promoted in many ways. Hope to see your antenna soon as the winner!

there are spring festivals all over Europe. It is time to go out and get inspired of the atmosphere of refreshing nature. Sparkling cultural events are waiting for you everywhere in Europe! Don’t be

This month we have been discussing on two other important topics. One of them is to get to know each other better within CWG. So, we are planning to organize a city-break event as a „team-building exercise” for all CWG members. The other one is the future SU collaborations which are under discussion nowadays.

STUDENTS' MOBILITY: MAKING THE DREAM OF ERAMSUS A REALITY FOR ALL

25 years changing lives!

In the world…

by Liliya Buyukliyska

Well, we are not as old as the

dgdfgsdgsdfgsdfg Erasmus program but we are

proud that AEGEE had played important role in its history. Thus we think it should keep being like this. This month was dedicated on never ending talks and a survey about what AEGEE should do in order to commemorate the 25 th anniversary of Erasmus. Are you joining us?

Topics of the month This month the EWG focused its forces over the 25 th anniversary of Erasmus: how AEGEE can commemorate it and if we can be again stakeholders in the decisionmaking process in terms of mobility programs in Europe. Mobility programs were the main topic of discussion in our group as

well as sharing experiences.

personal

Apart from that a team of EWG brainstormed and proposed a flagship topic: “Students' mobility: making the dream of Erasmus a reality for all”.

What have we done this month? In order to start with energy, we have already applied to organize WS at Agora Enschede We were also planning actions of commemoration of 25 th anniversary or Erasmus and thus we launched a survey, that you can still fill in. Finally, we started uploading personal stories for participation in mobility program on our blog.

“Erasmus for all” is still under a hot debate in the European Parliament as well as the saving of “Youth in Action” programme. In the following month Education world will be obsessed with the 25th anniversary of Erasmsus that will be commemorated by the EU with an anniversary conference in København under the slogan 'Changing lives, opening minds' and as part of the Danish presidency. The program will focus on the impact the programme has had in higher education.

Environment all over Europe

In the world…

by Hans-Peter Bretz

Collaboration is the topic of the dgdfgsdgsdfgsdfg month and two big projects aim to bring it to the network in the following months: the European Day of Environment (EDE) and the Green Summer Universities.

What have we done this month? Davide and Diana, coordinators of the EDE ‘12 have created a new concept for this year’s EDE project. The project tree as featured on our website and on facebook offers five topics for participation (energy, waste, food & water, transport and lifestyle). Everybody who is interested can use it to share ideas, add projects and activities and let the tree grow for this year and future EDE’s.

Additionally, the team of Green SU Assistants with Miguel kicked off its work to help the 13 green summer universities in ClujNapoca/Ploieşti,

The AEGEEan featured an article about the EDE project Tree of Sustainability.

Eindhoven/Tilburg,

Genova/Firenze, Köln/Düsseldorf, Lanzarote/Las Palmas, León/Coruña, Paris, Pécs, Piliscsaba/Cluj-Napoca/Gliwice, Porto, Santander, Tenerife and Torino. Last years’ green SU’s belonged to the top rated SU’s in the network so don’t miss out this year and apply for one.

In order to get an overview of the members of our WG and their expertise and interests, our HR responsible Karolina created an online survey. To help us improve our communication and find more ways to participate for everyone.

Dear AEGEEan, I bet you have dgdfgsdgsdfgsdfg friends from Spain, Italy or Germany. And from places like Georgia, Russia, Turkey or Azerbaijan? Your friends coming from such those countries, those who you love to work together with at workshops, those who you share same values of a unified Europe… have nightmares every time they apply for a visa: time wasting, money spending, desperation, and sometimes even worse, be forced to stay at home with a useless visa in their hands.

What have we done this month? Specially in March, we have been having many requests from AEGEE members who needed help in difficult situations. Visa Advisor, let’s keep it rolling!

In the world… Do you know what ESI means? The time is now: changing EU visa policy on Turkey. The visa roadmaps. Do you know about them?

Our members Apart from that, have you received an Open Call for being one of our partners at the YiA event organized together with AEGEE-Lviv in October? Take a look at your inbox! Besides we focused on people’s interaction! We are continuously improving: providing help, discussing important issues and organizing ourselves.

Casado, participant from AEGEEGranada asked during the last reflection session of the week. The room became silent. We all felt the magical atmosphere surrounding us. Now, ten days later, I think I have finally found the right answer to his question: our potential is limitless. In the following paragraphs I will explain to you why I think so, but let us start from the beginning. Read more below!

Topics of the month The ES2 is AEGEE Europe’s most advanced training course. Focusing on higher project development within the framework of NGO work, the ES2 is a place for visionaries to blink to the future, where youth leaders get together and work together

building a solid base for future projects to start from. In February ES2 Castelló was inspiring a new group of European leaders. Read more about what they experienced in this article.

What have we done this month? This month we have been mainly working on ACA´s visual identity and selecting host locals for ES1, PRES and SUPS. We are also looking for managers and trainers for ESSUs (European Schools Summer Universities), why not you? Contact us as soon as possible! Besides we have been updating trainers database. And keep tuned. HRES (Human Resources European School) is starting in Kyiv in a few days!

Back then I was already a trainer for Amnesty International Poland, but AEGEE drew me over with its “spirit” and international context. Trainings are my passion and my life has been around them for a few years. Now I’d like to inspire the same processes of personal development in others.
