World University Games Shenzhen, China 12th to 22nd August, 2011 Qualification Period The Qualifying Period is from 1st January 2011 to 31st May 2011. Meets to Qualify Include: • 2011 Dave McCullagh Memorial Gala • 2011 Irish LC Nationals Alternatively, swimmers may nominate a specific LC Meet for consideration (either domestic or overseas) within the qualifying period, in consultation with the National Performance Director. There will be a 10k Open Water event included in the 2011 World University Games. The selection policy for this is dependent on FISU regulations not yet available and will be confirmed at a later date. Selection is based on ratification from CUSAI. Swimmers who qualify for both World LC Championships and World University Games must provide confirmation of attendance to one or both events before 31st May 2011. Swimmers may be asked to pay a subsidy towards the costs of taking part in this competition. There will be a maximum of 2 swimmers per event. Relays will be selected based on the four fastest aggregated times achieved from 1st January 2011 to 31st May 2011 in selected meet(s) approved by the National Performance Director.
