Dear readers,

Our 2021 Aero Crew News & RAA Photo Contest has come to a close. Stay tuned to see the winning photos and learn who the winners are on December 1! One lucky winner will have an extra $250 just in time for the holidays. Good luck to all who participated!

This month, we would like to announce a new contributor for our Squall Line column. We welcome Ajay who is a pilot with a Ph.D. in meteorology who is excited to share his knowledge with our readers. He also brings expertise in safety as an FAA Safety Team representative. Monthly, you can learn more about weather in Squall Line, now by Ajay Raghavendra.

About the Publisher

Craig Pieper is the Publisher and Founder of Aero Crew News. Craig obtained his Bachelors of Science in Aeronautical Science, along with a minor in Aviation Weather, from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2001. Craig is also a First Officer for a major airline with a type rating in the Boeing 737 & Embraer 145 and has logged over 8,000 hours of flying time since his introductory flight on November 14th, 1992.

October 2021

Last month, Aero Crew News proudly presented the ACN-RAA 2021 Photo Contest top-15 finalists!

As the publisher, I picked my favorite and used it on my page. Unfortunately, no prize came with my selection, but the photographer can claim some bragging rights. This photo was appropriately titled, “The Calm Before the Storm, Oklahoma City Style” by Alan S. If your photo didn’t make it into our top 15, don’t worry, we will still publish all 124 submitted photos within a massive collage (that is under construction).
