Message from AFA General Secretariat AFA is pleased to issue Health, Safety and Environment Performance Indicators (HSE KPI) to all its members. AFA would like to convey its thanks and appreciation to AFA HSE Committee Members for their effort and support and special thanks to Mr. Mejbel Al Shammeri – HSE Manager – PICKuwait for his valuable efforts in preparing and finalizing this valuable booklet.
Introduction Based on AFA HSE committee commitment towards HSE and for the sake of continuous improvement of HSE performance among Arab fertilizers companies by applying stricter control on all HSE activities in line with international HSE best practice, the committee decide to develop unified HSE KPI’s for AFA members, this will help us to know the current performance of AFA members, what can we do to improve and how we can prevent danger from our employees and assets.

The recycled materials and wastes are used in the production of potash, nitrogen or phosphate products, except recovered sulfur (a byproduct of oil refining or natural gas production) in producing phosphoric acid. Total energy saved due to conservation and efficiency improvement. Percentage of total volume of water recycled and used. Initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reductions achieved
