INTERNS’ SHARING
Intern ‘ssharing Before my arrival to Ho Chi Minh City, I was very excited to see the city and meet with the kids I will spend time for weeks. I was actually feeling comfortable with the teaching part because I had my preparation and everything to teach them English in an enjoyable way. So when I went to the kinder garden for the first time children were quite surprised to see me and they were not interacting with me. However, I was sure that they would get used to me in few days. Actually they started hugging me and acting very nicely to me after the second day. To be honest, when I was trying to teach them English, there were some times that I felt like they were not listening to me but I was always keeping in mind that they are too small, so it is normal if they cannot concentrate all the time. I was always motivating myself, even though if they were not listening to me really carefully, I would keep on talking in English randomly so they could get used to hearing some English. After the past few weeks when it was the end of my time in Ho Chi Minh City, I was feeling that I did something to improve their English. So the feeling that I have succeeded in helping them learning English was a really invigorating experience for me. Plus, the teachers and the administration really helped me a lot and tried to motivate me.

Intern ‘ssharing It was a pleasure for me to have an exchange to Vietnam for 6 weeks. I had unforgettable moments during my stay in Vietnam. Vietnam was epic and wonderful! I made many new friends and I think. Vietnamese are so friendly and fun. During my project, I didn't find any difficulties at all, all went very well and it was nice meeting and knowing the kids from kindergarten. They are so cute and cheerful. The staffs are also kind and welcome us so warmly. But one thing that I was a little bit concerned up until now is that I did not commit fully at all during my project because I was quite free and did not do many things so I felt like I did not contribute myself fully.

The time in Ho Chi Minh with AIESEC is wonderful!!! I participated in a teaching program called “All for Children ‘s Future” which let me met dozens of super-cute kindergarten kids!!! We taught them English, Maths and even did some science experiments! During leisure time, AIESECers and all the volunteers would always hang out. We had city tour, events, games, travelling and a lot of fun stuffs. They are one of the nicest group of people I have ever met! For accommodation, I can only say TAM ANH is the best. You will not be disappointed. This is really a unforgettable 6 weeks !! Thank you AIESEC LC Ho Chi Minh City!
