Sophisticated Afternoon Tea at The Stafford London

The Stafford London, renowned for its timeless elegance and exceptional hospitality, have launched a sophisticated new afternoon tea. The afternoon tea will be served from a brand-new bespoke cake trolley for an added sense of theatre and occasion, and to allow guests choice with their preferred cakes and pastries.

To start, sandwiches and scones will be served on a traditional cake stand, alongside coffee or a selection of fine teas from Camelia’s Tea House. Delicate finger sandwiches will include H. Forman & Son smoked salmon with horseradish crème fraîche on granary bread and Honey roasted ham and mustard mayonnaise on onion bread, alongside a Truffle egg bun. Plain and fruit scones will be served with whipped clotted cream and strawberry jam, alongside a savoury delight: Westcombe Cheddar scone with soft cheese and chives.

The new cake trolley will be presented tableside, with each guest able to select five seasonal cakes or pastries from the display. These may include Raspberry, apple, and elderflower macaroon; Coffee choux bun; Vanilla and raspberry white mouse; Lemon and basil tart; and Cherry and coconut mousse. Guests will also be able to sample a slice of the showstopping signature Earl Grey and honey layer cake.
