High Praise For Green Valley Staff

All employees receive an AccessPay form in their welcome pack which you choose to complete and email to the address at the bottom of the form. Once this is received by AccessPay, they make contact with you directly to set aside a time to speak to you about options to suit your individual circumstance. For this discussion, you will need documentation to show the payments that you would like to include as part of your package.

Upcoming Events Selfies of The Week

The amount you qualify for will then be taken out of your salary before tax, and paid into your bank account as a separate payment fortnightly, alongside your Afford salary transfer. The overall saving is $1,325 per month, equating to quite a significant amount more in your package than if that amount was taxed every month. If you would like any further information about how to get involved in AccessPay, please contact our HR team at hr@afford.com. au, or if you would like to revisit your package details, call AccessPay on 1300 133 697.

DRIVING HOME THE BRAND IN QLD!

Queensland has received a splash of colour, with branded Afford Hyundai Imax and Toyota Hiace vehicles on site and ready to transport clients in and around their communities. Showcasing Afford’s bright colours and inspirational logo, as well as the tag line ‘Supporting Qld Through the NDIS’, the new vehicles create greater awareness of our brand. Having the branded vehicles roaming the streets is sure to raise interest amongst Queenslanders to find out more about all the amazing services we offer. To make an impression on a much larger scale, late last year, Afford also worked with GoTransit in Queensland to advertise Afford across one side of an entire bus! The campaign runs from October through to September. This is significant exposure for our brand that will support the team on the ground to attract new clients and families to our services. Some of our clients were even lucky enough to ride our Afford branded bus as an added treat.

ALLIED HEALTH LAUNCH PICKY EATERS GROUP

Our Allied Health team are extending our services to support a range of families with children of varying needs. The team is currently working on rolling out feeding clinics across QLD and NSW and supporting families with children 18 months and older who could be considered picky eaters or problem feeders. Children who could benefit from Afford feeding support would only be able to tolerate a limited number of foods; be underweight due to limited food choices; eat different foods to the rest of the family; or refuse entire categories of food textures or nutrition groups. Our Allied Health team has attended specialised training that covered the assessment and treatment of picky eaters and problem feeders using the SOS Approach to Feeding. They are now qualified SOS Feeding therapists and can create and implement feeding programs within a group or on an individual basis. Staff Matters MT DRUIIT STAFF HAPPY TO DELIVER GREAT SERVICE

When you look forward to going to work, you are going to be at your best and deliver exceptional service for clients. That’s exactly what’s happening at Mount Druitt Day program, where the team are energised and happy to walk through the front doors each day; ready to get started. From their District Manager, Kari Jayatilleke, we get the sense that everyone at Mt Druitt Day Program is always so happy to be there. It’s a place that has created a cohesive group of talented and committed staff. It brings together the best of many varied cultures, which then bond as one Afford community - they are one big family. The general mood and atmosphere of the site maintains authenticity and a genuine warmth as soon as you walk through the doors. The staff put in tremendous effort to deliver amazing experiences for clients by incorporating (melody, thanks to their gifted musicians), different games, and many varied activities and programs that are so popular with clients. What we love most about their site? The most consistent noise is laughter from every client. That is certainly music to our ears! Staff are genuinely happy and eager to be there for the clients which is evident in the way they support clients achieve their goals. The smiles on the faces of staff and the energy in the atmosphere inside the site, definitely speaks a thousand words. Amazing effort Mt Druitt. Keep up the great work!

HIGH PRAISE FOR GREEN VALLEY STAFF We love hearing from our families about the positive impact that our services and staff have had on their loved one. It is truly a privilege to be part of our clients’ journeys of personal growth, confidence and independence. Here is just part of some feedback received from the family of one of our Green Valley Day Program clients. It is almost one whole year, since our daughter, Jazziba started at the Green Valley Day Program. The major difference we have noticed with her now is that she appears much happier every day. Although she cannot express her appreciations, she shares her joy with us when asked about her day. She adores every single staff member at your site and it is quite evident from her ‘high-five’ display all around before she departs every evening. I am sure you have been also told about her refusal to come home when I got there a little earlier than normal...it’s like she might miss out on some last minute activities. The love and affection she has received from your team and her involvement in the daily activities has certainly been rewarding. As parents, we would like to take the opportunity to thank you and your team for the difference your site has made for our daughter. We are forever in debt to the Government and Afford, and your leadership in providing the care in order to close the gap for Jazziba and the disadvantages she may have in her life. I hope our heartfelt appreciation is conveyed to everyone concerned - Faruk. When we hear stories such as this, we can feel joy that we are truly making a difference in the lives of many people - our clients and their families. Outstanding effort Green Valley team!
