STAFF GALA AWARDS

AFFORD’S INAUGURAL STAFF AWARDS BALL

It was the event of the year, and the first of its kind – the Afford Staff Awards Ball! Each and every day, our near 2,000 staff provide exceptional quality support that enhances the lifestyles of our clients. The Afford Staff Awards Ball is all about recognising and celebrating the success of our organisation’s top performing sites and individuals, who have helped Afford soar to the heights it has in recent years. The invite-only event welcomed 450 of Afford’s top-performing staff to a night of glitz, glamour and accolades held in Marsfield on the side of the iconic sandstone Curzon Hall castle. The incredible venue was decorated with all things masquerade, including elegant life size ceramic masks, breathtaking crystal chandeliers and a huge ‘Afford Awards’ centrepiece to name a few. As staff started to arrive in their ball gowns and tuxedos a buzz of excitement and sense of mystery started to build. The surprises started from the moment the event opened with the first surprise a special gesture for our CEO, Steve Herald – a Scotsman. To ring in the night and kick off our pre-dinner festivities in the court yard, an authentic Scottish bagpipe player performed and set the tone for a magical night ahead. In a true celebration of the diversity that makes Afford the richly dynamic organisation we are, throughout the awards ceremony guests were also entertained by acts from Latin Dance Australia, who performed a number of culturally-inspired routines and acrobatic style entertainment.

Afford Trivia Answer

Our inaugural Staff Awards Ball was a huge success, with hundreds of staff attending from across every Department of our organisation and each of our 3 states of operation. While all enjoyed the opportunity to get dolled up and enjoy a night out with their peers, the night was all about recognition of the success awardrecipients have achieved and praise for their outstanding contribution to Afford. Undoubtedly, Afford would not be what it is without the work of each of the Ball’s attendees.
