Staff Matters POPPIN’ UP IN QUEENSLAND Our Customer Care Managers in Queensland are back out on the road and running pop-up stalls in shopping centres across Queensland. Queensland is one of the lucky states who have recently had their COVID-19 restrictions ease. As a result, our Customer Care Managers have been able to organise and hit the ground running with community events. It’s so important that we do continue to spread the word about our award-winning services as we continue to expand our footprint across Queensland. Afford is set to expand into the Brisbane market to bridge the gap between the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast, so our Customer Care Managers have been busy brand building. They are spreading the message that Afford provide the best services and supports in the sector. The team is excited to see Afford will also be popping up in letterboxes across the region, which is expected to boost sales and word of mouth referrals. If all goes to plan, Afford is set to exhibit at the Sunshine Coast Disability Expo later in the year. It will be a busy end of the year for Queensland that’s for sure!
Reminder! Staff please be reminded about the importance of the following: •P lease note that all New South Wales and Victorian staff need to wear masks while working – inside and outside. This is in line with this morning’s announcements for NSW – it nominated Western Suburbs but for certainty we request all staff in NSW to comply. Victoria had already moved to this point. If you have any doubts or issues with stock please discuss with your Team Leader or Manager.

Staff Matters VICTORIAN AFFORDIANS ZOOM TOGETHER Melbourne staff got created with their latest gathering last weekend celebrating a different kind of Afford Buzz. A buzz via Zoom! Victorian Affordians have been doing it tough lately with increasing cases of COVID-19 across the state. Always remember, your fellow Affordians have your back! You are not alone and we can get through this together and celebrate in the typical Afford Way, with humour and our teams and tribes culture. It was an impressive sight to see the smiling faces across the tiled screen last week, as staff members across Victoria dialled into the buzz event for some social time. Staff from both QLD & NSW (Steve, Christina, Amira, Gordon, Allan, QLD staff and Candace) also dialling in for a catch up with the VIC team. It was a night full of laughter, quizzes and activities, keeping morale high is what we Affordians do best! Staff members entertained themselves by playing games such as name that song & trivia. It was a fun night had by all. We love to see our sites thinking outside of the box and this is such a creative way to come together and keep ourselves safe.
